Island Grand a TradeWinds Beach Resort

The front desk staff is phenomenal a big shout out to NY Will at the front desk his customer service was impeccable. We read a lot of bad reviews especially about the rooms. We had an outstanding room it was clean and well maintained. Great views top floor. The only complaint was the elevator issues. We were very happy with our choice. Definitely will be back. Thanks again Will.

Went there for a conference. If you are looking for somewhere to have one, this should be on your list. Plenty of conference rooms, and restaurants on site and plenty within walking distance

It's also a full blown resort. 40 acres of beachfront property. With putt putt, five pools, very impressive beach, cabanas on the beach, huge slide, and probably plenty of other things I did not see. They have several areas set up for weddings as well. There was one that was going to happen the weekend we were there.

Rooms have an old Florida motel style air...access is from open air covered breezeway and are a little older but have the modern outlets with chargers in the lamps. Mattress was firm. We weren't in a balcony but many had views over the beach.

It's a maze of buildings...use the map until you figure it out.

And don't miss the sunset over St. Pete Beach. It's beautiful.

I’ve stayed here multiple times. The best beachfront access on St Pete Beach. Well equipped rooms, ours had a kitchenette and the nicest people make you feel welcome. Great for families with a kids club, water tours, games, ice cream parlor, movie pool night, marshmallow roasts on beach, free paddle boats.

Here for a conference. Rooms were nice, except we were supposed to have a king bed and ended up with 2 queens. I do not recommend for a conference they put us in a tent, didn't have numbers ready for round table, and executive Porta Potties that were not maintained for the number of people attending the conference. I will say the hotel has many bars and activities for families and kids.

We've never been so sad to leave a place. Already planning our return! Based on these other reviews, maybe we got lucky? Front desk was lovely, bell hops were great, bartenders and Flying Fish staff were one of the best parts of this place. Had an ocean view room and it was clean and beautiful. My only gripes - breakfast buffet was terrible and the staff was snooty. I would not waste money there again. And the rooms need more outlets! But really, those are minor things.

Nice spot, reasonable rate. Only draw back is it is a cashless establishment. Close proximity to lots and right on the beach. Will definitely go back. Kid friendly.

Teka is the best subway has to offer the world. She is so clean and respectful. She's polite,calm and very professional. I go like 4 time's a week and if she's is not there, I turn around and walk right out because she makes my 🥪 perfect 😋. What's funny is I never really cared for subway til my woman can home with a sub made by Teka!!!💕

I absolutely love this place! Everything you could want or need is within walking distance. I will definitely be using my points to go here.

Great place, a little outdated, but it has a reasonable price. If you have kids, this is a great option for you. For couples, it is kind of noisy since it's mostly packed with kids.

This review is about the Tradewinds Reservation Department. Ellen Henson, within the Tradewinds Reservation Dept, is the most accommodating reservation professional I have ever worked with, My wife and I are planning our 50th Anniversary trip with 16 Children and Grand children. She was extremely accommodating with all our changes and modifications. Thank you Ellen !!

We did not stay here but met some people who did. When walking through they have lots of activities, looks like a really nice place to stay.

The trade winds was a amazing place to stay at they definitely make you feel welcome and treat you amazing and the employees are super awesome especially moe he was very helpful I was here for a business trip and the food was spectacular and everything in my room was amazing definitely will be back ten out of ten service and I even got a cool picture of a penny coated in a cool metal that makes the penny non stick I had a super nice time at the trade winds for work 😁!!!!!!!

Your kids won't want to leave. The food and drinks are good, pools are warm, beaches are amazing.

First class 4 star resort, 3 buildings, 6 pools, 7 restaurants, live music at night, 3 story water slide. Everything 1st class.

This place is awesome! The staff are very nice and helpful and the location can't be beat! A lot to do right at the location. Try the para sailing!

The resort/amenities are wonderful but are a bit dated. I want to give a special thanks to Ms. Be for looking out for us, she fulfilled my birthday weekend, need more people like her. Mr. Rich at the Flying Bridge was wonderful. Mr. Gage I think that’s what his name was I wan to thank him and everyone at the Scuppers Company who fulfilled my first Jet Ski Experience, he was so helpful and made me feel safe. I really appreciate him for taking pictures and sending them to my phone. However, we felt like Ms. Brianna was a bit rude when it came to communication because some information that’s on the websites aren’t up to date. Other than that I look forward to coming back to that resort next year.

Thoroughly enjoyed every minute at the TradeWinds Beach Resort ❤ Our room was perfect, clean cozy very welcoming. The service was awesome and the location couldn't be better. We had sooo much fun on the floating island/slide and don't remember the last time we laughed so hard. Bartenders were very entertaining and hilarious. Stop by the hut on the beach and have a cocktail or two. Loved Florida

This place is fantastic. We enjoyed a day pass and got to enjoy all the amenities. The beach isn't very crowded and the water is great with lots of waves. We got a free beach cabana, we love the adult pools and hot tubs. Everyone is so nice amd friendly. They have hammocks all over which is super fun! You want something ro drink or eat you can relax and order through your phone and have it delivered to the beach. Greta Place.

Great place to stay, the amenities, the crew, I came in my birthday and was amazing all the experience. The view and the beach front. Thank you to all the crew and service. Taína was great and also the front desk people. We met a Venezuelan front desk guy that was great! I’m also from Venezuela and he was super helpful and informative.

We love the TradeWinds Beach Resort and go 3 or 4 times per year. Couldn't imagine going anywhere else.
