We were there for my sons wedding. This place was perfect. They even had a beach wheelchair for my mom to be a part of her grandsons wedding. The penthouse suite was amazing as well as the reception area. The food served was amazing. All around, great time. The rooftop bar was nice. Unfortunately, it was a little chilly. They did have plenty of heaters to make it a little more romantic.

Bellwether Beach Resort could not have been a more perfect venue! Both Courtney Mannix and Courtney Gathers made certain that I had what my husband and I wanted, and bent over backwards to make us happy- from start to finish! They were both kind and extremely responsive via email throughout the process and answered all of our questions. The food was absolutely phenomenal. My husband's family is Italian and are hard to please; however, they all raved about the food! We were treated like royalty the entire time we were there and were offered an upgraded room while we were there due to it being the off-season in December. My dream wedding was to be done on the beach, but unfortunately, it was a washout day. The venue coordinators came to my rescue and made a quick change of plans to move the ceremony to the upstairs ballroom (Grand Vista Ballroom). It ended up being gorgeous and intimate, so that all our guests could hear our vows. Our reception was in the downstairs ballroom (Ocean's Edge Ballroom). It was set up to be exactly what I had envisioned and I truly felt like I had a Cinderella wedding. If you are looking at having your wedding at St. Pete Beach, do not look any further...as this venue is absolutely perfect!

I had the best experience with having my wedding at the bellwether beach resort! The rooms were great. The rooms had the best views on the beach and perfect to get ready in before the wedding. The staff at the resort were so kind and helpful. Courtney G. was incredible, patient and kind. She was prompt with her emails and answered ALL my questions (which helped put my anxiety at ease). She made my wedding visions come to life. The venue has beautiful views and they were just enhanced with Courtney G’s incredible talent. I felt so lucky to have had Courtney G to assist me with the wedding details. During dinner, all the staff were so kind and professional. I can’t recommend this venue enough!

We come over to the area frequently for work and this resort makes it all worth it when you have to spend a good amount of your time in the room. The resort is in a fantastic location, beautiful rooms and their team is great. Walking distance to everything or take the free shuttle. The rooftop bar with amazing views and happy hour is a great time and any time when the locals are hanging out there, you know it's good.

Can't recommend enough!

I was really scared by the reviews I read, so I came in with kind of low expectations.

My husband and I had literally not one thing to complain about once our entire stay! Our room was clean and spacious, but you do have to request for it to be cleaned during your stay. So if you like it cleaned everyday, just ask the front desk.

The staff really went above and beyond at every step of the way. Bellmen, front desk, housekeeping, bar/restaurant staff, and the beach staff were very friendly and helpful. They have a great crew working there.

We walked to dinner every night, there are a ton of options within walking distance. We really had such a blast, and can't wait to return.

We just got home from a long weekend and I have to say the hotel and staff was great. Everything was freshly updated, clean, and bright, great beach vibes. We like to travel to new places and I always say that I don't want to stay at the same place twice. I think we're going to make an exception and bring our daughters here.

You have to have a drink, or six, at the roof top bar to watch the sunset while there. Heck, the beach bar restaurant was good too. I just wish they had more seafood or shrimp on that lunch menu. The mahi tacos were a surprise with how much fish you got. I can't tell you about Spinners as we didn't dine there but it was nice when we went through there.

Bottom line is you should try the Bellwether.

Place was cool, water pressure was low and it took a while for hot water. Our room lights flickered on and off but it was a nice place.

After considering leaving due to overcast weather, we decided to stay after being greeted by Dillon who set us up with a cabana. He provided excellent beach service all day (and some seagull protection). We’re so glad we stayed, because it ended up being a perfect day with a bonus surprise of sunshine!✨

I can’t say anything negative about our stay at the Bellwether. The staff were all incredible, and the rooms were super clean. The location is prime and right on St Pete’s Beach, with a gang of sunsets waiting for you each and every day. The pool area is nice and spacious and the pool bar is perfect #gobongos. Our bartender Vanessa was amazing, shot out to Vanessa… we’ll miss ya!

We recently had the pleasure of hosting our wedding welcome party on the rooftop terrace at Bellweather Beach Resort, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. From the moment we began planning our event, Courtney and Courtney were incredibly supportive and attentive to every detail, ensuring our special day was seamless and stress-free.

The service at the resort was exceptional, with staff going above and beyond to accommodate our needs and make our guests (many of whom had traveled from overseas) feel welcome. The food served was a highlight, with its high quality and variety, and contributing to the festive atmosphere of the evening.

But what truly set the Bellweather Beach Resort apart is its stunning location! The ocean views and rooftop sunset provided a perfect backdrop for our event, creating a magical and unforgettable setting.

We cannot thank the Bellweather Beach Resort enough for their part in making our wedding welcome party such a memorable event. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful setting, outstanding service, and a team of professionals who genuinely care about making your event special. Thank you, Courtney and Courtney, and the entire staff at the Bellweather Beach Resort, for an amazing experience! David

Exceeded my expectations for my husbands birthday "staycation". Yes, the hotel is older. So is every hotel in St. Pete. Could the pool be nicer/larger? Yes, but there is no room for them to expand. Based on reviews I was expecting a dated room, but was pleasantly surprised. Rooms were tastefully decorated and very clean. Location is perfect and close to several beach bars and restaurants. Staff went above and beyond to make us happy. Spinners (hotel restaurant) was also fantastic. Highly recommend!

Great job by the hotel staff team helping to make our daughter's beach wedding special, and to make it a great weekend trip for all our visiting friends and family. Our group had 30+ rooms booked at the Bellwether. Fun for everyone with beachfront cabanas, Bongos Tiki Bar, Spinners Rooftop, and of course the wedding venue was great. We had the downstairs ballroom with Gulf views from the inside and outside Veranda. Special thanks to Courtney M and Courtney G in wedding planning and to Sean at the front desk! My wife and I have been coming to Bongos for 30+ years, but never dreamed our daughter would be married right there on the beach. It was a perfect place to have a destination wedding. What more can you ask for all right there with balcony views, white sandy beach, cabanas included with rooms, restaurants on site, and of course, those beautiful sunsets!

I recently had the distinct pleasure of spending a few nights at the Bellwether Beach Resort, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I stepped in, the warmth and attentiveness of the staff were evident. Bongos, the vibrant bar downstairs, became my evening retreat, offering a delightful ambiance to unwind. The highlight of my stay, however, was the serenity I found relaxing on my private balcony, soaking in the picturesque views.

Dining at the rooftop restaurant was a culinary adventure, with the filet mignon being the standout dish – the best I've ever tasted. Additionally, the Dreamsicle cocktail at Bongos was a tropical delight, surpassing even those I've savored on exotic islands.

The spaciousness of the rooms added to the luxurious feel, matched only by the consistent and eager-to-help service. The Bellwether Beach Resort truly understands the essence of hospitality, ensuring every need is met with grace and efficiency. This gem of a resort has won me over, and I eagerly anticipate my next visit.

Celebrated a milestone birthday in this wonderful resort in my neighborhood. The best concierge that attended to all request and kept me well informed along the way. Was treated like a Queen. Front desk representatives to coffee bar to service personnel were stellar. Drop your bags and enjoy. Room was fantastic and views Fantastic location, excellent rooftop and 11th floor dining and a treat of a revolving floor. Garage parking is also available. Althought the resort is kid friendly, the surroundings aremore of a classic nature. Loved this space.

We went for my birthday weekend getaway and we had never been to St Petes Beach, it was a such beautiful spot.
I have traveled alot but this was by far the best hotel customer service, I have ever experienced.
Geoffrey in concierge was amazing, helpful, and responsive. Dana at check in was very informative and friendly. The hotel communication with the guest was so refreshing. The room was beautiful and big enough for a couple massage, Rebecca and Grace were fabulous. Waking up with that beach view is amazing and walking out on the balcony to hear the ocean was heaven. Spinners restaurant has really good food and the 360 view at nite is breathtaking. You were moving but didn't feel it. Our waiter Jared made it special with a birthday dessert that was so yummy, it had fruit and melt in your mouth chocolate. Bongos bar on the beach was just a fantastic vibe. John the bartender was also great and knew any kind of drink you wanted and then some.
The only issue we had was trying to find parking Sat nite after coming back to the hotel at 8pm, as there was an event going on.
We did have an amazing long weekend and will be back. Can't wait to plan another trip to the Bellwether Hotel next year.

I was impressed with the Bellwether. I knew it had undergone some renovations and those really only ever turn out great or terrible and I was taking a risk, but that paid off in my opinion. The lobby is very welcoming and feels fresh. The lobby bathrooms and public areas were kept very clean throughout our whole stay.

We opted for a partial ocean view, expecting the rudeness most hotels call a partial view where you have to stick your head around the corner to see anything. Boy did the Bellwether ever reset those expectations! We had a really cool view south from the 9th floor with a long luscious strip of the gulf side beach in front of us and a view of Gulfport Beach on the other side. Best "partial view" I've ever paid for.

Our room was clean and comfortable. They didn't skip on the details when they refreshed the place. I love the shuttered windows and the aesthetic choices they made throughout with bright colors, vivid patterns, and hints of nostalgia. My only complaint about the room is that they're still using tiny plastic bottles in the bathroom. It's been several years since I've seen that in a hotel since they've all mostly gone to large refillable bottles installed in the bathrooms. For an area that is so mindful of conservation and recycling efforts, I was surprised they haven't made the switch to the environmentally better option. That would also eliminate the little game of trying not to bowl over the half dozen bottles lined up on the small shelf in the shower while attempting to select the one you need, which inevitably winds up with them all knocked to the ground. Be forewarned you should avoid hitting your head on the shower door handle after picking them up, least you wind up like me and still have a knot on your head several days later.

Admittedly as someone else complained, the hallways to the rooms aren't that inviting (not dirty, stinky, or hot as mentioned, just meh). What can you do to make that low ceiling, awkward pass through better really, and can we not just accept that the 15 second walk to our room is a little meh? We aren't renting out the taj Mahal here gang.

The pool was nicely kept, and it was lovely having the beach cabanas, chairs, towels, and water toys right on hand for you, as well as restaurant service to the beach. I got to enjoy beach yoga for the first time and the instructor was great. It's such a lovely area of this beach to be on, very central to so many cool places and experiences, and great views. Being there over the weekend we got to witness a handful of weddings and it is nice having such a joyful vibe in addition to everything else.

We'd planned on staying for nearly a week without a car and figured a resort with three restaurants on site could probably feed us a good majority of the time. It might be helpful for some people to know (which may be common knowledge and I'm just being ignorant about the way of resorts) that all three seem to come from the same internal kitchen so there's a fair amount of redundancy on the menus. I tried a handful of their cocktails and they were all tasty, and the majority of the food we ordered at all three was excellent (Just skip that overpriced, Sterno and heat light warmed nonsense brunch buffet upstairs and you'll be fine, more or less). Luckily every neighboring resort also has their own restaurant and there are restaurants tucked in between them all so you can walk to plenty of options, and with the couple of free taxi options on the strip you can get to just about any cuisine imaginable.

The staff was helpful long before we got there, helping us set up ground transportation and giving us ideas of things to do on our visit. Everyone at the front desk was kind and welcoming. I would be happy to recommend the Bellwether to anyone and to stay again in the future.

I visited some friends that were staying here and it was very nice. Friendly staff and excellent beach access where you can rent a cabana for some shade. Friends staying here also said they enjoyed their time here. They also have an outdoor pool that’s a bit deeper for just the adults to relax in.

I've never stayed there seeing as thou I live about a couple miles away but I've been there at Spinners, which is fabulous and their Level 11 open rooftop bar which has yummy tapas and of course you can beat the view for either venue. The Beach bar is also great. One of my favs!
