He is courteous, timely, and meticulous but what I value the most is how easy he is to work with. He will help you figure out, in the kindest way, what you needed for your plumbing job. The previous owner of our house recommended him - I feel like we got a bonus with our house.

Joe has been my plumber for years. He has done a wide variety of work for me at rental properties and my own home ranging from maintenance and repair to high end renovations. A dependable, professional plumber is difficult to find. If you need the job done right the first time, call Joe. ESPECIALLY if you don't have a cookie cutter situation. I own two 100+ year-old buildings in Dupont; my home and a 4-unit row house. Joe has solved a number of difficult problems for me over the last 15 years. He also addressed problems on a converted historic office row house on Capitol Hill where I worked. Joe's father was a plumber in DC, and he apparently grew up in the business. I recommends Joe's expertise without reservation.

You can always rely on his work to last. And he'll schedule jobs on weekends. Not inexpensive. Well worth the price. He's also not afraid of historic/vintage fixtures. He "loves" our 1960s boiler.

Update: a couple months ago our water heater went out, on a Friday. He had it replaced within 24 hours. I don't know if he does that for everyone, but that makes at least 3 weekend jobs for us.

Joe is knowledgeable, reliable and very responsive. From home renovations to emergency repairs Joe has been wonderful. I've always been very happy with his work. He services my home and two rentals.

Whenever I want someone good in the trades, I often go to John at True Value Hardware on 17th Street (at Corcoran, I believe his last name is Spaulding). He didn't disappoint: He sent me to Joe to set up a difficult gas pipe configuration, so I had him set up a kitchen sink, put in a water line for my ice maker and put new wax rings for my toilet. He even helped me out with a lavatory water line nut when my hand wasn't working.

Fabian plumbing has always come through for us. We have been using Fabian for years. They show up on time, do exceptional work, endeavor to be clean and charge a fair price. We wouldn't call anyone else.
