Airline Highway Park

Nice park. The greater Baton Rouge state fair was hosted there this year (2023). I went on Thursday around 5:30pm. Nicely organized fair. The parking was free and people were directed where to park. Lots of ticket booths, they accept credit cards with $2 fee.
The food was very expensive $12 little bowl of loaded fries, $6 slices of thin pizza, $14 chicken tender on a stick, $17 turkey legs. $8 sodas in a cup with $3 refills.

Anyway, besides that it was fun!
Enough people at the gates to assist, good amount of police on the grounds.

Great fair. Nice size fair with many rides and more than enough food vendors. I enjoyed my visit. Live music also.

It's a fairly large open field that works well for things like fairs or events that require larger open outdoor spaces.

Best Grilled Shrimp Salad in Baton Rouge. Oh! The turmeric used on the shrimp is everything. I love it with the house dressing. Don't believe me, go get you one.😊

This place has lots of opportunities to offer for outdoor activities. Peopele comes here mainly for Cricket, Baseball, Softball. This park has one of the only two Cricket Grounds in Baton Rouge (or only three in entire the Louisiana). It also has a big open space to bring dogs.

Clean and clear. Great acreage. Although the purpose for visiting this site was to fill sand bags to help individuals protect their homes from in coming / forecasted torrential rains. Even during my time here, I witnessed dog-friendly areas, an air-gun range, and more.

We went to the air gun club an every ones so nice an my 10 year old had a great time

mostly baseball fields and just open areas, but it’s a nice place to park and just talk a walk around the park they also have a few trails through the woods that is pretty interesting

Great for a simple day with your 🐕! Room to run with no worries of people or traffic.

It was another one of God's beautiful days we had a wonderful time council on aging 50 years serving Louisiana Santo kamaya

This park hosts one of the premier air gun competitions in the USA. 2019 makes 30 years that the Bayou Airgun Club has hosted the Cajun Classic, which gives one the best experience of Louisiana hospitality coupled with the highest level of airgun competition...and of course great food!

I kinda just parked here to eat some McDonald's but it was nice nonetheless. Nothing extraordinary, just a nice park.

I always enjoy going to the Great Baton Rouge State Fair every year.

Enjoy Senior Skip Day, had not had that much fun in a while........
