Cloud Red

flavor x 1000! what a great first experience at cloud red. at first i was thinking it was pricey but then the food came out and i thought it was absolutely justified. the flavor and portions were both positively unexpected and the vibe was immaculate !! can’t wait to come back.

Great atmosphere, cocktails, and delicious food! A favorite local spot. Order to-go food if it’s too crowded in person, or check out the back patio area for a quieter setting. The Brussels sprouts and buffalo cauliflower are delicious.

I’ve been to Cloud Red a few times now and definitely recommend visiting. The bartenders and servers are nice. As others have said, it does get VERY loud in here which makes it difficult to communicate. I like the tempeh tacos. They have good drinks and food. There are also games.

Wife and I tried Cloud Red, and this place is awesome! We had the Buffalo Cauliflower and Crispy Brussels Sprouts. Both were delicious and the portions were out of control! We initially though about getting more items, but decided to just start with the two as you order at bar and food is delivered to your seat. Glad we did because we couldn't finish the two apps, which were so very good. Excited to go back and try more offerings.
They have games to play, so we sat and played some cribbage. Drinks were good. Atmosphere was nice. As others have said it gets loud. Seemingly after the kitchen closes (9 pm), the music got louder and changed from a restaurant that has a great bar, to more of a bar that has great food (until 9) vibe. Either is great!

First time here and what a lovely spot! They have succulents all over and the ones on the tables had little paper pride flags stuck in them. So cute! I had the Watermelon Sugar cocktail - most of the cocktails are named after songs, like Raspberry Beret. We had Chips N Salsa and Buffalo Cauliflower. Both were great. The chips are clearly freshly made and the Buffalo Cauliflower was scrumptious. The staff was friendly and, besides being a bit loud, the ambience was great. I would come back, especially since the prices are not too dear.

Met a friend for our annual catch-up. We were mildly flummoxed, not having researched it, at the opening time of 2P, but that worked out ok. She put us at a table in a pleasant room away from the bar, at our hour it was excellent for conversation. We just shared some wine from the bar, so can't really comment on food or ongoing service (the bar happily provided glasses of wine). The vibe was nice, and we felt welcome despite our very modest contribution to the day's receipts!

I had such a wonderful time at Cloud Red for the first time! First of all it was such a lovey atmosphere and the staff was wonderful, especially Ian C who had the perfect energy and seemed to set the vibe for the restaurant telling my group all about specials and welcoming some of us to the space for the first time. The food was also, incredible! Such a variety in a small and concise menu as well as large portions; everyone ends up sharing a little because it is all so good.

Cloud Red is absolutely amazing. Staff was friendly and really helpful and the atmosphere is awesome. Would highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the MKE area as a local or visiting the city! Can't wait to go back, the pulled pork nachos are unreal!

At a restaurant that likes to put a bit of a spin on the usual offerings, this burger is a solid classic. If you’re craving what you think a traditional burger tastes like this will fill the void.

I'm visiting from Chicago and a Milwaukee local recommended Cloud Red. Great recommendation. I had a fabulous cocktail (gin + Asian flavors + tonic), the chicken po'boy (which was like a banh mi), and Brussels sprouts. Everything was delicious. Stephanie, Jayce, and a gentleman who recommended my drink (wish I knew his name) were all awesome. I have one more day in Milwaukee and am tempted to go back to Cloud Red.

Typical set up for a Restaurant like this. Free water and I think coffee, menu on the wall, order at the bar and find you own seat. I heard they had cauliflower wings and they were delicious. My husband ordered the Shrimp Taco and loved it. Not very expensive but if you are hungry you will need to make a meal out of any order.

Delicious food and drinks. No table service which can make for a wait at the bar to order. Definitely worth the stop.

Honestly — I come here multiple times a month with friends. I cannot get enough of the tofu bahn mi, the buffalo cauliflower and the brussels sprouts. (If anything, the brussel sprouts are a must if they fit your dietary needs!) the cheese curds are awesome too.

Before going note: it’s gonna be busy. It always is. But I’ve never felt like the service tanked because of that.

For those not familiar: it’s a seat-yourself kind of place, so you have to kind of hang around and diligently watch tables at the peak times (yes it can feel kind of creepy lol). Also, you order everything at the bar. A great strategy is to send someone on the lookout for a table too snag it at first chance while you or a friend order at the bar.

This is easily one of my favorite places in the city.

Soooo good, this will be our regular spot. Food is delicious and great choices for GF VG. Tasty cocktails and happy hour. Service and staff were lovely. Thank you!

I can't say enough good things about this place. They have food that fits my crazy dietary restrictions. I don't know who creates their food options but this place is top notch, I've never had a bad meal here... and they have yummy cocktails. I've been back several times. Only thing is that they have strange hours, I'd love to go for lunch but they open a bit later. But so grateful to have this restaurant/bar nearby.

One of my favorite places EVER! Great food and atmosphere. It can be hard to get a table, so be willing to be flexible. But it’s worth the chaos/the wait!

I always get the vegan po boy and it has never disappointed. The cocktails always slap. I wish they would bring back the gluten free cheese curds!!

Food was interesting and exceptional. Glad we came early and didn't have to wait long for our order. I don't identify as vegetarian, but I prefer a plant based diet. Glad they have such quality choices that are not meat based. Looking forward to going back.
