Metro Market

For as busy as Metro is, it is always clean and inventory is filled. You can’t go wrong with a grocery store that has a bar! Parking ample, safe neighborhood, staff is 50/50 regarding attentiveness. Most are wearing ear buds and don’t even make eye contact with you…but for all the reasons that you go to a grocery store, MM checks them all, great job team!

Been coming here for a few years now and I’ve enjoyed shopping here. Lately there’s been a lot of people working hard on the floor and when I pick up my order they’re super quick. I see a lot of negative reviews on here but just wanted to share that I usually have a pleasant experience. 😊👍🏼 the elevator door is too quick sometimes so be careful going in and out

Today the store was clean [bathroom included), stocked and staffed. Awesome service from Alijah (sp?) who provided excellent customer service at check out. All of this is a significant improvement from a few months back.Keep up the great work!

My default place to shop! it has everything I need in one place. good prices and great service. quality of their brand is also very good, better than a lot of other competitors. its in a safe place, bot like walmart, and people there are nicer and better. even shoppers are nicer.
Great place. I hope they stop spectrum employees from asking us every time about the internet at the upper floor.

Really great store here at Metro. The place has a huge selection and lots of good service. I've honestly never had a bad experience here. I even tried grabbing some hot food once and sitting in the eating area and even that was great! I did unfortunately sit right by a vent blowing air which was uncomfortable, but it was my own fault sitting there ha.

Amazing place to shop, they are always trying new things when it comes to products and services, like a Walmart with steroids that uses better food and products, the 2 story layout can slow shopping down when you just want milk and eggs so has the potential to turn off elderly customers but the parking structure is attached the building so can easily be avoided. Staff is always prompt helpful and friendly and they do not harass. Great deals always. Love the sushi, love the bar, love the grill I love love love this supermarket

I wrote a list of things to buy. I then brought said list with me so that I would not forget to buy the items that inspired me to visit this Metro Market ™ in the first place. Upon my arrival, I was pleasantly greeted by the options of large shopping cart, smaller shopping cart, basket, and carrying items in my arms. I opted for the smaller shopping cart. It was like a double decker basket with wheels! I found all the items on my list and proceeded to place them into my mini cart. This is where things get really good... As I meticulously checked the items off of my list as I found them and transferred them into my mini cart's possession, I came across OTHER items that I didn't even know I wanted! I ended up buying these items as well 🤣 lol lmao.
Wait! It gets better! Once I gathered all my items (and more lol) the very nice lady at the check out then took the card from my wallet with my own personalized shopping numbers on the back and wizarded the total number cost of my items to an even LOWER total number cost.
Also, it wasn't that busy.
I had a great time. Will shop again.

Best grocery store around shorewood and one of the best in Milwaukee. Very clean and helpful stuff. Fresh produce are best quality and bakery is also the best I have ever experienced. Selection is decent. Sometime not enough stuff during checkout. Price is not the lowest but you can save a lot actually if you get coupons sent at home and also clipping online coupons.

First of all, they have at least some VERY honest workers. A couple months ago (about a month into COVID-19), I forgot my wallet there. I got it back the next day totally intact, not one dollar missing. I'm a very loyal customer after that.

That being said, I've never been a big fan of a 2-level grocery store. It really helps to be an organized shopper here so that you don't end up using the elevator (or stairs; there's no escalator) multiple times. I still give them 5 stars because the design was necessary because of the small lot it's on, it's not the store's fault, just know what to expect. Produce, bakery and deli are on the first floor, most everything else is upstairs. Service isn't perfect, but it's much better than Walmart and just a much more pleasant place to shop. Prices are generally good, definitely less than the regular prices at Sendik's. And they have exceptionally honest employees, at least the ones who found and took custody of my wallet!

just moved here this week and I was worried about having a grocery store with elevators. But love the space. Elevators are less intimidating than I thought and parking it has been easy. The produce is the same as in our Kroger in Virginia. Fine but not the best. much much better cheese selection and take out selection. So very pleased so far

One of my favorite food markets in the country. Has two levels, with parking and entrances on both. Downstairs is produce, fish, meat, diary, prepared foods and grab-n-go. Upstairs is everything else, including packaged, canned and frozen foods, household products, beer & wine and seasonal items. First level also has an eating lounge with a digital player piano, gas fireplace, and a spots bar with two mounted big screen TVs. Great staff. Fun place to just visit.

I love this place! I like the parking garage because there is guaranteed parking. I don't mind waiting for someone to back out. It's not that serious. I love the store layout and the 2 different floors. I don't mind getting on an elevator at all. I wouldn't mind drinking and shopping, live a little!!! I'm glad they put a Starbucks inside, I need my coffee fuel.

The only thing that sucks is the street the store is on. If you're trying to turn left into the parking structure you hold up traffic behind you.

Upscale atmosphere, very clean, professional staff. Used to sell liquor/beer 'til 11, but cut it to 10. Good if you barely missed the 9pm cutoff elsewhere, but not nearly as handy as it used to be.

My favorite store by far. Fresh meats, bakery, produce. I love the way they will grill a steak for you while you shop... dinner check! I love the soup, hot food and salad buffets. Even the flower section is top notch. I always love samples like cheese, wine, honey, spice area samples etc.

I love this grocery store. It has issues logistically as a shopper because of its sheer size and layout, but they have everything and the novelty kept me feeling positive about the overall experience. Might be a different story if this was your weekly grocery, but if you're visiting and nearby, definitely stop in.

I love this place. Every time I come to visit my brother in Milwaukee I have to stop here. They always have samples out and everything I've sampled has been delicious. It's like a grocery store mixed with multiple restaurants. My husband and I tried the sushi this time and it was comparable to if we were to go out for sushi. And the prices aren't astronomical either! I will keep returning to this place.

This place is ridiculously huge! The second floor is the place to go for your actually groceries (they do have an elevator and a store map at the front)! The first floor has so many hot and ready food options you could eat there for a week straight and still have a bunch of options! Parking is ample!

Great grocery selection. Bar and quick service food is a nice touch also. It's like being in a different city. Does not have the same boring feel of most other grocery stores in Milwaukee. Very unique

Only issue I have is the two stories... Taking elevators or stairs is kind of a bad design. Maybe an escalator with a cart escalator would be helpful. The quality and selection makes it worth the bad design. Staff are helpful and friendly and the store is always clean and stocked.
