Meike has a warm, welcoming studio. She is knowledgeable and enthusiastically shares her knowledge and talent. I really enjoyed the class I took with her and how she encouraged me and the other students.

What a gift she has given me with helping me open my mind to so much more with her texturing classes. I had no idea how it would change my art as I have enjoyed the comfort of bringing different to the canvas today. She shares her gifts easily and I highly recommend her technique to enhance your art as you welcome in so much more by allowing Meike into your creative life. Love her studio too, it feels like home. 5 stars all the way!

What a delightful experience I had at Meika Aton’s studio recently. I was in an acrylic workshop that involved texturing with various materials from tissue paper, handmade paper and shells and sand. Meika took us from beginning steps through the finished piece explaining each detail with easy instructions and examples. She supplied all the materials, as promised. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience! Great Father’s Day gift! Meike was so helpful and taught us so much about loosening up and expressing yourself. We left having completed 3 large paintings and our “palette paintings” as well. One can’t help but feel inspired when surrounded by all the beautiful art Meike has displayed throughout the gallery. We will definitely come back for more workshops. Highly recommended experience!

My 2 days of classes with Meike opened up a whole new world of art for me. I am used to
structured painting so this was a very new experience for me. Did I enjoy and learn from it? Absolutely!! Meike was always available for suggestions and guidance and it was done with patience and kindness. My two "masterpieces" will always remind me of a fun two days with Meike and my fellow artists.

Just walking into this studio makes me smile with joy. Meike's works are full of color and movement and texture. There is a variety for every taste with bright bold inergetic color, soft subtle works and everthing in-between.

Meike Aton is an excellent instructor for beginner's through advanced painting students. Today, she guided us through a mixed media process combining acrylic painting techniques on canvas with photographs, mementos, and texture building materials. Meike is patient, kind, and inspiring. I loved what I was able to produce, but that was secondary to the ideas and methods I was exposed to and encouraged to practice. I highly recommend everyone try one of her classes. I had the very best day!

What a wonderful time I had taking a class with Meike! It was such a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere! Even though I didn't have a high level of painting experience I was never made to feel intimidated, I just had fun! Everyone there, I truly believe, were having a relaxing and enjoyable time while learning to " paint from the heart."

I have grown artistically in many ways since my first workshop with Meike Aton. She has helped me with the concepts of abstract compositions and with the opportunity to use new and different materials. I have developed through these workshops a desire to work on larger and larger canvases. I look at textural additions to work in a new and exciting way. Meike has encouraged me to use my talents in many new approaches. Her studio is open and inviting and her suggestions are spot on.

My husband and I discovered Meike's work and gallery while on vacation. That was one of our favorite memories. The quality of work is evident. It was excruciating to pick just one item to bring home with us. But the person herself, Wow! I felt her generosity of spirit the entire visit. She shared so much of her process, especially when she found out that I like to dabble myself. I came away wondering how it was that an art lesson was snuck into our trip to her gallery. We love the piece we brought home, and hope to return someday. She is truly an amazing artist!

I was first attracted to Meike Aton's art by the interesting selection of colors mixed with distinctive textures. I purchased my first small piece for my kitchen. Within a few months of enjoying the addition I consulted further with her. Now I own several large pieces of her art and my home has gone from the usual traditional style to a more exciting transitional style of decor. Her work has added interest, color, dimension and overall a great feel to my home. I want more of her work!

I took one of Meike’s workshops recently. She has a way about encouraging you to take pleasure in exploring your creativity with open-ended exercises. Not to mention her gallery is packed with inspiration! I left feeling motivated to take on new projects and look forward to the next workshop opportunity.

In addition to being an amazing artist, meike is also an exceptional teacher and mentor. I am an emerging artist and Meike was gracious enough to offer me her studio to show my art(July 2017). She not only gave me space, but she also provided her experience, advice and knowledge. I am forever grateful to her.
