Pompeii Italian Grill

The food was absolutely delicious and fresh. The Watermelon Bubbles drink is crisp and refreshing and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys tarty carbonated lemon-lime drinks. Sophia, our waitress, was an absolute sweetheart as well! All around great time!

The outside of the restaurant looks very nice. Beautiful atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered a Pepperoni Pizza, Chicken Caesar salad, and the Fettuccine Alfredo. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Our waitress was outstanding and had great recommendations. We will definitely be returning.

The most amazing dining experience I have had since 1999. Fantastic food, great service, live singer, wonderful restaurant environment and a complementary photo of the experience!! I couldn't have asked for a better Valentine's Day experience!! Where memories are made!!

My husband and I had our first date there 7 years ago. We just got married and I had been wanting to take him back. Last night we finally had our first date night and it was so perfect! We had calamari and shrimp Pompeii for appetizers and I had fettuccine Alfredo and my husband had pepperoni pizza. Everything was so delicious! Our waitress was really nice and we had so much fun! Thank you for making our date night so amazing! We will be back again.

This is one of the brst Italian restaurants in San Antonio. The menu is filled with authentic dishes all well prepared.

The wait staff is outstanding.

Last time we came they didn't have mussels but this time they did, and they were oh so delicious!!! Got it with white wine sauce, that had garlic,basil and herbs in it....so good! Their salmon is always cooked perfectly (forgot to take a pic). Had it with this creamy caper dill sauce and surprisingly it wasn't too heavy. Desert was also delicious (included couple of pics from our last visit also). Service is always on point. It wasn't too busy for a Friday night, got a table right away at 7 pm. Definitely a place I'll visit again.

Had a wonderful first experience last week here. The calamari is a MUST, you won’t regret it. We ordered the lasagna and tilapia… I would reorder the lasagna. You also wouldn’t go wrong asking for Seth. This waiter was attentive and thoughtful, had great recommendations. I’ll be coming back and bringing friends.

I love this place, their meatballs and spaghetti dish and caesar salad were super delicious. Plus their prices are very reasonable, as soon as you walk in the door they greet you very politely plus their customer service is outstanding. Beautiful clean atmosphere. Definitely letting all my family and friends know about this great Italian restaurant. Awesome food 🙂

Very nice atmosphere 😃 The food we had was okay pretty basic Italian food. Because I was there for a luncheon and we only got three food choices. I looked at the menu though and they have a lot of other food options. I would recommend go check the place out for yourself 🙂

This restaurant was a gem of a find! I was in the mood for Italian, and this establishment did not disappoint! REAL Italian food and the price wasn't outrageous, but the flavor of everything was definitely ON POINT! I am sad there isn't a location near .e! The Italian gravy was a TRUE Italian gravy, like my aunt would have made! My tastebuds were in HEAVEN!
The veal was absolutely SUPERB! And those meatballs! OMGOODNESS! Hands down BEST I have ever had!
Our waiver was on top of things too and was a very pleasant young man to chat with.
This made for a wonderful evening and experience on our final night in San Antonio.

We went at 1:00 afternoon or so and the waiter was nice,also very good at his job.food was absolutely delicious.i had grilled chicken,feta, mushrooms,salad,and they had pasta gluten free! I was happy.!

First time here and it was amazing. Food was amazing, Service was just as amazing. Patrick took care of our every need even without having to ask for anything. After an experience like we had, we will be coming more often.

Came out to Shertz with my beautiful wife and one of my daughters to IKEA, and decided to stop by an Italian restaurant before heading back to north San Antonio.

I found Pompeii was pretty close to us so we decided to stop by and give it a try.

The atmosphere was quaint and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. A few large parties were here.

We were served by Seth and although he was serving a few tables on his own, he was still pretty attentive to every customer he had.

The food was enjoyable and filling. Although we don’t come out to this area too often - if we ever do, I’d definitely stop by again.

They even had someone who offers complimentary photos if that’s something you decide to accept. We didn’t.

I like a restaurant where the food server is well knowledgeable so I am well guided choosing the dish. We ordered mustard chicken and chicken neopolitana. Both were good but the neopolitana was just amazing. The portion was big enough to fill my tummy also I could take almost half home. The starter bread and oil is yummy too. They use raw garlic and herb rather than toasted which is also tasty.

This was our first time here and not our last. We’ve been gouged at a lot of places in San Antonio that “claim” to have the best Italian food only to be left disappointed and still looking but this place has it!! It’s local. 1. Homemade bread served right away with a delicious olive oil, garlic, basil, feta mix. 2. Calamari in homemade tomato sauce where you have an option for it to be sautéed or fried (both are delicious) 3. A chicken piccata that was so delicious and real fettuccine Alfredo sauce that wasn’t dry (add the chicken!) 4. A DOCG Chianti under or about $20 a bottle! Come on! You can’t get that anywhere. Anyways. The staff was super friendly. The place was super clean. Atmosphere was fun! Loved the man singing tunes tonight! The bar looked nice. I have to add this. If you’re looking to go out, prices have gone up for everyone, restaurants and including mom & pop places. We’re going to continue to support local. Loved the food! We’ll be back soon! An entire dinner meal, with a DOCG Italian bottle of wine, dessert, appetizers and two entrees for under $100, not bad. By the way nothing was served cold other than the salad plates.

Food is always on point. Rosa is always great & very attentive. Shrimp pompei, lasagna, chicken mustard, & there spaghetti were all excellent. Beautiful atmosphere. Took family from Salt Lake City. They also stated it's the best Italian food they have enjoyed compared to other places.

This is one of our favorite places when ever in town to eat. You cannot compare this unique place with the food or the ambiance. The food is very flavorful and authentic for Italian. You will NOT go wrong, its worth the your money and time with family. The also have a complimemtary bread, refills if sodas and tea, complementary photo while dinning in. YOU WILL LOVE IT and forget Olive Garden.
