Unresponsive is putting it mildly, I have written, called and begged for an explanation of my bill. I have been a faithful customer for 50 years.
I found out that I had no auto insurance by way of a fine from the State of North Carolina DMV in January, letting me know that my policy had expired and I owed them $50 per car for the lapse..Now we ALL know that the postal service has not been 100% spot on due to the election and pandemic, so I didn't receive my quarterely invoice. No phone call, no email not another piece of mail came my way from the Conway Agency.
My policy had should have expired in Sept. but miraculusly didn't expire until November? Which doesn't make sense. But that evening in January when I received my fine from NCDMV, Number #1, I paid my fine. #2 wrote a question to Conway Insurance Agency in their comment box. I needed Insurance immediately. I asked for a phone call and how much do I pay to reinstate my insurance. #3 I went online and just did a quick comparison with GEICO which I never would do unless I was in dire need.
Turns out, GEICO beat my existing policy by $335 annually, after 50 years of being a customer. For filling out an online account request from Erie , I received a follow up email from a Mr Nobles, the Vice President of Online Services, asking me how my experience had been. I wrote to him exactly how it was going. I never heard a responce from him either. Apparently he only likes good news. I meanwhile still had not heard back from Conway. So I bought the GEICO. And as a final farewell present, I have been hounded daily by a collection agency for unpaid premiums. A colllection agency. How can I owe money if I am dropped? Do you think someone at the office paid out of the goodness of their heart? Do you think they would have covered me in the event of an accident from September to November 11 th, And what did I just pay the Collection Agency for? I don't know. Instead I got a pile of paper from Conway. None of it explains it. No phone call, no email.
I would not recommend Conway & Company to anyone, unless you like mysteries.
