Will at Japanese Auto Repair was so friendly and got my element turned around quickly. His quote was a lot better than other garages. And when I picked up my car he gave me great advice to continue maintaining it. I will definitely return.

I LOVE Japanese auto repair! I moved farther away but I come down just to go to them cause their customer service and prices are the best! The guy in charge is seriously so nice and accommodating!!

I’ve been here 4 times over the years. Will has always been nice and fair. He works hard and has a great story putting in more than 20 yrs owning this shop. English is his second language and sometimes that can make it difficult for as clear an explanation as he’d like to give. But he knows his stuff. Definitely worth getting an opinion here.

Will always tries to get you the best deal. Quality work for cheap. Highly recommend. Been taking my 02 Acura TL to him for a couple years now and he always comes through.

We have had so many different problems with our 2014 Volkswagon Jetta. Every single time that we have a problem we take it right over to Wilfredo! He knows his stuff. Whether is problems with the engine, fuel pump, brake repair, car registration, or any other technical electrical problem Wilfredo at Japanese auto has been able to quickly find the problem and solve it. This place is the most affordable that we have found in all of Utah county. They have been such a help to us! We highly recommend them to anyone with car needs!

Willy helped me out with buffing out a large scrape on my car. He did WONDERS on this car! And he saved me money from not having to do a paint job. He was great with communication and I appreciate all the work he put in to doing a great job. He was willing to work around my hectic schedule and he accepted venmo. I never even met him. I spoke to him over the phone and dropped my car off. He texted me about the process and pictures. I picked up the car and was so impressed. This place is huge on preventative maintenance to avoid high cost repairs, a policy I greatly appreciate.

That being said, the owner and staff are straightforward and honest, recommending what is necessary and making clear what takes priority and why, never forcing you to spend more than you can. They will even work within a specified budget if that’s all you can afford.

Japanese Auto Repair does great work at a fair price and I would certainly recommend them if you’re looking to keep up on maintenance or have a problem that needs diagnosing.

I recently had a Toyota from 1992 imported from Japan, a car which was never manufactured or sent to the US, which makes servicing and finding parts for the thing nearly impossible. I had gone to 4 or 5 different mechanics looking for someone that could replace the alternator, which is usually a simple task, but all of them refused to even try because of the complexity of the vehicle. Fortunately I came across Japanese Auto Repair. They didn't even have to look at my car to tell me they could do it, and sure enough, they did. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful in every way. I'm definitely going to be going back there to help get this project finished up.

I am extremely happy with this shop! I had been to 3 other car shops and they were the only ones who were able to fix my car at the best price. They did an incredible job fixing my car, and it looks brand new. I would also add that everyone in the shop is so friendly, feels like home. Would definitely recommend them to any of my friends or family.

Will and the crew at Japanese Auto Repair in Provo Utah, gave me the best mechanical experience I have ever had with a mechanic. I have a 2003 Honda Odyssey that I have been taking to the local Honda Dealership here in Sandy. Well after spending a thousand dollars to fix some stuff on my car and it turns out my Transmission went out. Rather than go to the Dealership that seemed to just want to take my money and not really give me insightful help on what to expect from my car and how to best maintain it. The dealership ran a bunch of tests and recommended I fix EVERYTHING which would total about $6000 on a car I bought for $2300. So I got my car towed to Japanese Auto Repair. It was an hour away but well worth it. First of all, they allowed me to leave the car there for about 2 weeks and they did a series of diagnostic testing to really see what needed to be done. It was decided I needed to rebuild the transmission which would run about $2600. Will took the time to talk with me for about 10 minutes each time I called and he allowed me to keep the car on the lot for about 2 weeks after the repairs were done, to get the money to pay for it. Now my Honda Odyssey will run for another 10-15 years thanks to Will and Japanese Auto Repair. He gave me very helpful advice on how to best maintain my car going forward like allowing it to warm up for at least 3 minutes every day prior to starting the car and to get the transmission oil changed every 5000 miles. If you have a Honda, Toyota, Lexus, Acura, Subaru, Mitsubishi, or any other Japanese Car, be wise and go to a mechanic who is really honest, charges about half of what dealerships will charge you, and his invoices are simple and not meant to confuse you like the dealerships. I live an hour away and will now only buy Japanese Cars and will only take them to Japanese Auto Repair in Provo, going forward!!!
