Game On

This review is for Magic the Gathering: this is a great store to buy individual cards. They are a very fair and transparent price compared to competitors in the area. They have a computer database so you can easily search which cards you want and add them to your cart. The staff is also very knowledgeable and friendly. This is where I will go for any MTG cards in the area.

I've never been here before but I hear it's pretty good. I post this because I want to ask: does Game On sell retro games? I'm looking to expand my collection and want to help local businesses. Thanks in advance if anyone responds

When I called Game On a few nights ago, I was in search for some MTG cards. And as I was speaking with the store's owner, he let me know that the store is operating on an appointment basis to assist customers amidst the pandemic. Even though I had no appointment, he very kindly offered to meet me at the store so I may make a purchase. Not only did he go out of his way to meet me at the store without an appointment, but he also gave me advice for welcoming new MTG players into the game since I'd like to get some of the students I work with interested in MTG and even gave me a bunch of MTG welcome booster packs for them. All in all, I was very impressed with the customer service I received that night and will most definitely be making more visits and purchases in the future!

Christopher does local deliveries too. Super helpful service as I live in Asheville and my daughter is a student at WCU. Today was Valentine's Day, and we needed a delivery on short notice. Christopher went to Ingles, texted images of the cut flowers and the chocolate selection, made the purchase with my guidance by phone, then delivered within the time window between daughter's classes. PERFECT!! Will use this service again!

Chris is amazing and has the best trade policy I've seen in a store. The place is easy to get to and just awesome. They are starting to do games in store again, so get in there and test out those deck you built during the lock down.

The shop was awesome. I was visiting family,and wanted to introduce my sibling to magic and some of the culture with it. I was super impressed with his shop. I am hoping that when COVID-19 is all over with he can have some good tournament there. I will be back when I am in the area.

First time there... was just meeting some friends. Cool, interesting atmosphere. Most people there were playing Magic and they have all kinds of game systems to play as well as a Virtual Reality setup! They sell some cold drinks, and Little Caesars is right next door! They sell some stuff too... dice, cards and comics.

Constantly upgrading their selection! Game On will prove upon demand that they offer the lowest price in the country on Magic singles, and they try hard to match or beat internet prices on the rest of the merchandise (which is fiendishly difficult for an LGS to do). They also beat Wal-Mart's prices by a considerable amount.

The store is excellent, and when people call out "the owner" or question the store's comfort or friendliness in reviews, it's almost always reviewers who are friends of the newer game store that opened nearby (in what anyone might see as an attempt to drive Game On out of business), so take it with a grain of salt, as it is libel.

The owner was like a well-oiled machine. He managed all the game systems, a Magic Gaming Board, my two little ones, all while smiling and making small talk. He even billed me for one hour despite us playing for much Much longer :). Don’t miss this little gem.

Lots of variety... Magic The Gathering, D&D, lots of game supplies, comics, and video games to play including virtual reality games. I really liked that anyone can play on the vintage gaming sets for free... my grand kids loved that.

Magic & dnd focused with some cool game selections. The owners know their product really well and have very high quality selections of dice, deck cases, etc. Highly recommend!

Small section of retro to current gen video games with good prices. The owner Chris is a real cool guy. Support your local small business owner.

Nice place, they have a large selection of Dice for very cheap, picked up a set of glow in the dark dice for $5-ish. Still use them to this day.
