Barrique

I have so many wonderful things to say about this restaurant.
I decided to plan an event, I had no idea what that entailed... I contacted Barrique and spoke with Ms. Lori (event planner), after our first sit-down conversation, I was more at ease. She gave me suggestions and gave me time to process the information.
On the day of the event, I was beyond anxious.
Ms. Laurie and her team were prepared and organized.
Everything fell into place.
The food was amazing.

First time here.
My wife and I went here as a last minute decision. It kind of looks closed from the street but trust me it is not. During this difficult time they are using the upstairs dining area as the main dining room. Although if you have trouble with stairs they will seat you down stairs. They have done a wonderful job with this old building. It is very nice inside. Our waiter, Matt, took us o. A tour after our meal and showed us the outside seating area, the wine cellar and wine bar, multiple bathrooms, the open kitchen and of course the upstairs full bar and lounge area.
Ok for the food. We started with homemade chips and dip topped with brisket. Holy cow!!! That brisket was absolutely amazing!! We were not very hungry so we decided to get a burger and fries. Wow!! The perfectly cook burger was topped with house made pimento cheese, bourbon bacon and a fried green tomato all on a toasted bun. Good grief!! The fries were awesome as well. Our drinks were perfect thanks to Walker, the awesome bartender.
Although I am stuffed I already want to go back. They were very attentive and we were introduced to all of the staff that was working. They told us that they have live music on most Thursday-Saturday nights.
Can hardly wait to go back.

My friend and I actually ate at the 18th Ammendment Lounge which is located upstairs above Barrique. I think the restaurant was booked for a private event.
Nevertheless, everything was wonderful. From the cocktails, the appetizer to the entree... we couldn't have been happier!

Started slow with their award winning fried green tomatoes. I was skeptical, but they really were fantastic. So good that I forgot to take a photo. The tomatoes were so good that we decided to stay for dinner. We split the iceberg salad and the Mahi Mahi.

We sat at the bar and the service was great. I forgot her name but she was charming and attentive.

If there's anything at all that could have been improved upon... the fried green tomatoes were cold by the time we got them. The bartender was definitely stretched thin and I think they may sat for a bit while she juggled multiple tables while running up and down the stairs.

I'll definitely be back!

Excellent customer service and absolutely delicious food. Honestly might be a bit pricy but I think it’s worth it. Also nice to bring a date too.

Amazing food and atmosphere. We had the Ahi Tuna Tartare app and it was absolutely delicious. The steak was also amazing but the cognac peppercorn sauce made it even more mouth watering. Our waiter Broc was awesome! Very clean and we were able to see the chef and kitchen staff working their magic from our table. Can't wait to eat there again!

Back again for drinks and dessert upstairs in the 18th Amendment Lounge. Amazing cocktails with a super friendly bartender. Had the vanilla cheesecake with chocolate drizzle. Heavenly.

Great food great drinks. Jessica was super to help navigate the best of the best on the menu. Does not disappoint. Have a reservation for bigger groups.

Enjoyed. First time there. Celebrated my wife's birthday. Friendly staff.

If I could give 6 stars I would! My husband and I enjoyed a fabulous dinner and cocktails at Barrique. The bartenders were top-notch and served us some terrific, hand-crafted cocktails, and our steak dinners were the best we have EVER had! The atmosphere of the building is so cool! We loved the dim lighting and leather sofas in the renovated building. We can't WAIT to come back.

I lived in Goldsboro for about 5 yrs and didn't discover Barrique until I came back a year later.

We go everytime. The burger is delicious, the margaritas are just right and you need to get the truffle fries.

It's a small place to eat but I think it's a hidden gem. Perfect for a really nice date night.

Went tonight for the first time it was amazing The seafood pasta best I have ever had ,and the watermelon cocktail was so delicious and refreshing. The staff was fantastic. We will definitely return.

It was a perfect night out with friends for a birthday celebration. Our waiter was attentive and very helpful. Everything was so professional and elegant not to mention absolutely delicious. I could cut my steak with a fork it was so tender. The chef even prepared a special bearnaise sauce just for us. Be prepared to relax and enjoy yourselves here!

Great food, great service, great drinks. If you’re looking for 5 star experience, this is it! Great addition to Goldsboro!

Beautiful upstairs dining, experience makes you feel like you're not in goldsboro lol! Food was great loved the fried green tomatoes and the bacon jam was awesome!

This restaurant is worth the price. Both my friend and I were very pleased with our meals. I had the house salad and the truffle oil fries, he had the seafood risotto. The greens in the salad were very fresh, the dressing sweet and vinegary and the fries were incredible, especially piping hot. Everything came out quickly. The whiskey old fashioned was one of the best I've ever had. I will say I would like to see more vegetarian options, perhaps a vegetarian entrée.

Great place food was excellent and the service was great. We went for mothers day was not crowded.

My husband and I have eaten here countless times and LOVE it every single time. We have had every entree on the menu, multiple appetizers, and the specials. We love the wonderful selections of great wine!!! The staff is always very courteous and so knowledgable about the entire menu. We recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone that wants a great and flavorful meal!!

My wife and I just had dinner and drinks here. The food was absolutely delicious. It is not a cheap place by any means but it was worth every bit. The steaks are well aged and cooked to perfection. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The aged whiskey which they talk about is very good, and complements the menu. We are from out of state and we will be come back.

Love it here. Their old fashion is a must try and all the food has been spot on.

I was there for a dinner meeting. The restaurant itself was really nice. The appetizers were different and great. The food was really good. The staff was attentive to our needs. They change up their menu depending on the season.

Wow! What a hidden GEM in Goldsboro! We had planned on having brunch at another restaurant but when they didn't have eggs, we switched to Barrique. They have a gorgeous patio that is largely accommodating to pups and even had a dog bowl of water outside for them! Our waiter, Tony, was hands down the best I've had in Goldsboro to-date. He was extremely attentive, never ran out of water or coffee, was super friendly and made the whole experience 10x better! The coffee was excellent, he explained a little bit of time delay because they brew fresh French press coffee that they purchase locally from Middlegrounds - delicious and worth it! Food was timely and never felt rushed, and ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! The adult beverages were also delicious! It's a little pricey, but it's worth it! Awesome atmosphere, excellent service, delicious food and drinks! Will definitely be returning! Such a pleasant Sunday morning brunch! Very happy with our selection!
