Carl & 'Chelle's Grill Room

This is a lively place with awesome service and food! Brandy our server was professional, checked on us often and had a bright smile. Trey came and showed us the raw meats for us to chose. He told me I would enjoy my dinner and he was so right. It was cooked perfectly. The salad bar had many options though it looks small it is really a great and is an option as a side. I’d suggest making a reservation and you will enjoy the dinner more than you can imagine!

This is a great hole in the wall. Very upscale, the service is great, and the food is probably the best in town for steaks. They even let you choose your own steak door them to cook for you. They have beautiful marble cut steak... and great pricing... I love it here..

Carl & Chelle’s Grill Room catering hit a homerun for us. We hired them to cater the opening night’s reception for a 3-day reunion of our B-52 squadron, which had been deactivated 41 years ago. We needed perfection on that first evening, and Carl & Chelle’s didn’t disappoint.
They went the extra distance for us—Fabulous, very inviting presentation;
Most importantly, they provided delicious food, that was very appealing to the palate. During the reception and in the days that followed, we received numerous positive comments about the food that was offered at this event;
The portions were perfect for our group;
The crowd favorites were the chicken salad tarts, and sliders got rave reviews, as well.
The salami flowers were an eye-appealing crowd pleaser.
The meatballs were delicious (I loved them), but we think they were overlooked because, without labelling via tent cards or something, there was no way to know they were in the silver vessels.
Very importantly, Carl and Chelle’s is responsive and very easy to work with. Their pricing is reasonable and presented in a way that enabled us to understand what we were receiving for the cost.
If you use Carl & Chelle’s, you won’t be disappointed!

Tiny little place with the best food ever. It's a special little place we have gone for special occasions. Not often to we pay up for meals. But, it's our anniversary so we just enjoyed our meals so much. The place stays busy.

The best food ,the steak was awesome, everything was 110 percent dessert was killer,has to be the best I have been to, Raleigh &ang barn eat your heart out!!!!!

ALWAYS have wanted to stop in here when driving through Goldsboro. I am not local, so never really had an opportunity until tonight. I live about an hour and a half away, however, I will be making the drive to return again. It's smaller than I had imagined, so make sure you get there closer to opening time, or be prepared to wait. Service was amazing and very pleasant, felt very well taken care of. They have burger specials on Wednesday and I ordered the John Boy and Billy burger, and I noticed after eating my macaroni and cheese (They have this on Wednesdays amazing. My only complaint was that I wanted an entire plate not just a side) my bacon was missing. The server asked how I was feeling, she was going to have my burger remade for me. I just took the bacon and added it to the burger I already had. I really appreciated how the situation was handled though. She made sure I was happy and I rarely experience such kind service. They seem to genuinely care about there customers. Thanks for a great dinner!

Lisa was amazing, service was great, smaller place but atmosphere was wonderful, even the chef interacted with us. I had the filet with margarita. Both were great, filet cooked perfect and drink had a great flavor and thats coming from someone the used to live in San Antonio Texas. Would definitely recommend!

This is a nice date spot, but great for family dinners too! Never disappointed when we go. Desserts are great, steak is bomb, and I love the grilled asparagus. Service is nice too!! We had my daughter's graduation dinner here last year, party of 25...they accommodated us with no problem.

We love this place. The menu is simple, but that doesn't matter if what they make is done well, and it always is. The staff is always friendly and quick and we love the atmosphere of the cozy dining room.

My wife and I ate here Saturday night for an early Father’s Day. The staff were cheerful and attentive. We enjoyed the salad bar, baked and sweet potatoes and filets cooked to perfection. My sister and her husband walked in while we were having our salads and were seated near us.

As an added treat, I was able to speak to Carl and introduce ourselves. This is the place to go for steak prepared to perfection in a relaxed atmosphere. We are repeat customers and will continue to dine at Carl and ‘Chelle’s!

Our first time in and will definitely be back and recommend. The entire staff was pleasant and professional. As a former restaurant professional it is nice to see an operation that seemed like they had their stuff together. Now let’s talk food. Yummmm! Myself and wife both had steaks that were cut to order right at your table in front of you (which was very cool), my hat especially off to the chef and grill master that seasoned and cooked our steaks perfectly as we ordered!! The side salad bar was great and had the grilled asparagus which was well seasoned and grilled nicely. We went on and got desert which was the icing on the cake (no pun intended) key lime and lemon pies were delicious!!! Will be back to Carl and Chelle’s soon!! Very pleased and happy!!

First time at this restaurant it was a random pick, and it was just the best steak ever! Loved it

One of the best ribeyes I have ever had. Cooked just like I ordered and very flavorful. Great salad bar. Even the bread was good. All of the servers were well mannered and willing to help. I will be back.

Steak was really good, and the burger was also exceptional. It was probably the first time I didn't have to put mayonnaise and ketchup on one. It was good without it as the flavor was there and the burger was really juicy. The cocktail that was suggested was also good

Definitely recommend it, and we will be going back soon
