I am on the board of the Newport, a high rise on the Prospect Ave., and we hired Michael Maistelman as our attorney to remove a "comfort dog" from our pet-free building where the owner had very dubious documentation for justifying the animal. We are not anti -legitimate service animals, but this was a blatant fraud. A couple of attorneys were not interested in the case since they felt it was too difficult a case to win.
