West Lake Beach

I have been going to WLB for over 25 years and I love that place. It's like stepping back in time - in a very good way. So peaceful and relaxing, it's a great place for a small party, family reunion or simple picnic. They have the only sheltered sand beach that I know of on the lake, which is great for kids of all ages. The water depth gradually increases as you move out into the lake with a sandy bottom that's easy on the feet. It's a very convenient place to keep a boat too. The Depwes are great people, carrying on a family tradition that started in the 1950's. This place ranks up there with Barton Springs and Deep Eddy pool as true Austin icons. Check it out!

What an awesome place, one of Austin's last remaining jewels, beautiful green grass with a lovely sandy beach, well maintained. Definitely the place for our next event!

Great place to hang out and take the kids, definitely. There are a lot of shaded places to cool off besides in the water. The manager and his family are doing a great job.

I have a Beautiful Friend that lives there. Just amazing just like she is in real life. Love you Angel.
