I think Sichuan Folk has the best noodle soup of all the places I've been to. They are accommodating, and their ordering through the app is convenient and hassle-free. I don't like ginger, and they were happy to leave it off when preparing my order.

We’ve been coming here for years and it’s always delicious and quick. The new spot is so nice! So excited for them to move on up. Doesn’t get anymore authentic than this place. Also, the reviews talking about the service, this place is AUTHENTIC, as in the server’s English is not that great which is why they do all the ordering through the app. Don’t set your review on ignorance, if you want that kind of service go to Pei Wei.

We loved the old location and now they moved across the mitsuwa plaza. Still great and highly recommend the salt and pepper tofu and snowpea leaves.

Solid sichuan restaurant! All the classic dishes were delicious and my favorite was the 沸腾鱼! I love spicy food so I didn’t think it was spicy but if you have a lower tolerance, the staff are good about refilling your water!

Love their new location, it looks great! Inside could use some decoration but I understand they just moved in. Brightly lit and clean. The Yu Shan Eggplant is INCREDIBLE! Sweet & savory. Beef with Dried Bean Curd is also so flavorful ♥. Can’t go wrong with Dan Dan Noodles either. Looking forward to our next succulent Sichuan meal here!

One of the best Sichuan restaurants in Dallas. Especially their signature dish bullfrog, fresh and delicious. My kids love lamb with scallions. The basil eggplant was also very unique and delicious. Their food portions and prices are very reasonable, and their wait staffs are also very polite. It has become a regular restaurant for my family.

This place is bomb!!! I can’t believe we dined in here for the first time after living in Dallas for 2 years. We loved Sichuan food in Houston and been looking for Sichuan places since we moved to Dallas and so glad we finally found one. Highly recommend fish in fiery sauce and fried chicken in roasted chilies.

One of the best Sichuan Chinese food places around.

Food:
Familiar dishes, similar to other restaurants, but the food here just taste so much better than others I've had. Something in the food sets it apart and I don't know what it is. Their dishes aren't super oily like other places, the sichuan peppercorn isn't too much or too little, and it's actually spicy without overwhelming the dish spice.

Some favorite dishes include the fried chicken with chili (perfect amount of spice numbing), the twice cooked pork (not oily), and the farm house beef (good taste, not sure where the dish name comes from, I think layman name is pepper steak).

Service:
They've upgraded their systems to order from your phone/online systems, honestly makes it so much better, easier, and more accurate to order like this. Service was on point the night that I write this. I don't always need small talk or too many pleasantries, just good service. Water constantly refilled, got everything I need to eat and enjoy food, and someone near by for anything ad hoc. Overall great.

Price:
Seems typical. Spent $25+ cause we got more dishes than 2 people worth, otherwise you can definitely get something to keep it under $20 per person or share a dish cause the amount of food you get is pretty generous.

Overall, definitely recommend.

First time to this location. I am very impressed with the fact that after we ordered our dishes via our phone the server came by to confirm our orders and asked us if we prefer to have less salt and less grease/oil in our dishes. This is pretty much unheard of in any Chinese restaurants. My only gripe is the restaurant needs to have actual menu so people who are not tech savvy can order with ease without being embarrassed.

One of the best Chinese restaurants in town. Great portions and delicious food. If you haven’t experienced real sichuan food you’re in for a treat. Sichuan peppercorns have a “numbing” quality and are addicting. They also have an “American” Chinese menu with classic dishes like orange chicken, cashew chicken, beef and broccoli, general tso’s, etc.

I’ve been eating here since they opened - they used to keep my credit card # and address on file because I ordered delivery so often. This was before Uber Eats of course. They do package delivery and take out quite well.

Food is 10/10
Service is 10/10
Atmosphere is just okay 😅
We always get the crispy chicken deep fried in chili. A lot of their dishes is a little on the sweeter side. Great hot n sour soup. Their fried rice though 🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽. The crispy chicken has some of the prickly ash pepper / peppercorn pepper which causes the numbing and I love that! Their Dan dan noodles are pretty good and spicier than other places that we’ve had in the past. Soup dumplings were pretty good, their soup is on the sweeter side as well! Overall, we love this spot.

Authentic Sichuan cuisine. Everything was delicious. Their version of XLB is from another region where the meat is braised in very sweet soy. It is different but we prefer the Shanghai style.

I am absolutely enamored with the food at this place – literally addicting. it's become a regular treat for us, ordering 2-3 times every month, sometimes even more.

Let's talk about the Mapo Tofu – hands down, this is the most incredible and authentic I've ever tasted. The blend of Szechuan spices is seriously a masterpiece. If you haven't experienced this dish before, trust me, this is THE place to try it. I always add extra leeks to mine, and order plenty of rice (it’s a must for this).

My other favorite dish is the fried chicken with roasted chili. It is perfection. ALWAYS hot, crispy and packed with the Szechuan spices that I know and love (think slightly numbing, salty, spicy, sweet umami goodness).

I always order pick-up, and over the past 2 years there has not been a single order that wasn’t hot, delicious, crispy, etc. This place never compromises on freshness, flavor, or quality ingredients.

Their service is also a standout – attentive and friendly. And when it comes to portion sizes, they're beyond generous. In addition to my favorite Mapo Tofu and the fried chicken with roasted chili, their hot and sour soup, Yu Shan eggplant (satisfyingly sweet), Chang's dumplings, Hot and Spicy Wontons, Spicy Cold Noodles, and scallion pancakes – are all super tasty as well.

Even my husband, who isn't the biggest fan of Szechuan spices (like Szechuan peppercorn, star anise etc.), loves options like the orange chicken (crispy and coated in a mildly spicy-sweet orange sauce with fresh orange zest), vegetable lo-mein (perfectly cooked noodles and veggies), sesame chicken, and sweet and sour chicken.

An easy 5-star recommendation!

I could not think of a better meal to eat than some hot pot to celebrate Lunar New Year, and Sichuan Folk satisfied my cravings!

Most people don't know that they offer AYCE hot pot, and I don't blame them since the restaurant doesn't really advertise it at all. My boyfriend and I ate here multiple times in the past whenever we're craving Sichuanese food, and it's always delicious. However, their hot pot was even better!

I called the restaurant to see how busy they were on Lunar New Year Eve, and they said they were packed. I asked if they have hot pot tonight and they replied they do, but it's going to be a long wait (~1 hour). I didn't mind since most of the Asian restaurants are packed for the celebration, so we came and waited. I'm not sure if there was a miscommunication on the phone but I came in and asked for AYCE hot pot, and they said they're not serving it tonight. I told them that I called on the phone earlier, and I don't mind waiting, but I already drove here so it's pointless to pick another place. The owner lady said okay and I just sat at the waiting chair. The restaurant was fully packed with customers, there weren't any empty tables left. They had big parties on the round tables, and smaller parties on the left side.

It took about 25 mins to get seated, which is faster than the estimated one hour wait. The menu is online, so you just scan the QR code to order. The hot pot option was at the end, and it was a little confusing. The price was $24.95/person for AYCE, and a one-time fee of $10.95 extra for the soup. We had a party of 3, which equals out to about $28/person total. They had a lot of options on their hot pot menu, like the basic beef/lamp/pork/chicken shabu, then a bunch of seafood and vegetables. I was surprised to see lotus roots offered as well since other restaurants typically don't have it.

It took about 15 mins for the ingredients to come out. We picked both the plain and medium spicy broth, and it was SPICY. The server told me it was a 6/10 for a medium level, and I think my tongue died from the first taste. But, it was SO delicious, despite the burning. They did not skim on the amount of food that we ordered either. They brought 3 trays, separating the vegetables, sliced meats and seafood/noodles. Everything was so tasty with both broths that I'm still drooling. They refilled our broth constantly, and there's no extra charge for that. The meat slices are thin, and cooked instantly the second you put into the pot. OH! The hot pot is this big metal pot so there's plenty of space to cook your ingredients. There's a time limit of 1.5 hours, but we sat down at 8 and they didn't rush us until the restaurant was closing at 10 PM.

Overall, this is my new favorite hot pot restaurant! I've tried all the other AYCE hot pots in town (Manna, Happy Lamb, Squares, Gogiya, Volcano, etc), but nothing satisfied my cravings like Sichuan Folk. The price was perfect for the amount of food you get, and definitely cheaper if you have a bigger party since the broth is a one-time fee. Beware that they bring out your ingredients according to the number of people at your party. They gave me a huge tray of beef tripe even though the other two don't eat, since there's no "adjustment" on the app. Next time I'll ask if I can get a smaller portion for specific ingredients, but aside from that-- it's a 11/10.

My wife and I absolutely love the food here. We have been a fan for years now. The food taste amazing. We try to get something new every time we go here. This time was the beef rolls. They were good but not one of favorites. The spicy chicken is still the winner in our book. The hot and sour soup was excellent great for these cold days we have been having and you just can’t go wrong with the green beans. Got to have the veggies right? Don’t forget the portions are big and the white rice. The portions are more than average so we always leave with togo boxes. Give them a chance and I’m sure you’ll be full and happy afterwards. Oh and the stuff was great. Very attentive and had our glasses always full. Thanks for the read and good food at sichuan folk.

This is our go to place for authentic Chinese when we are in Plano. They have a wonderful variety of southern dishes, appetizers, and hot pot options for you. The service is great as well, it is always very friendly and fast. There is a kid who flies around there fast and always with a smile. They have a dish with “crispy rice” and that is interesting but very delicious I would definitely give it a try. Love this spot and will continue to be a loyal customer.

Sichuan Folk never disappoints. We've eaten here over 20 times and the food is always exceptional. Staff are friendly and service is quick. My favorite dish here is the fish fragrant eggplant (鱼香茄子). Even during the pandemic, we order and pick up from Sichuan Folk and Sichuan Folk ONLY. It is Heaven on earth.

Best sichuan restaurant ever! We ordered dan dan noodle, lamb with cumin, deep fried chicken with roasted chili, spicy fish with boiled oil, pork with bamboo shoots and dried bean curd. Every dish was wonderful, right spice level, not too salty, well selasoned with generous portions. Definitely a level up from Sichuan dishes I had at other places. Service was smooth and great. Highly recommend!

Not busy for lunch but the food was wonderful. The Kung Pao Chicken was one of the most authentic version I've tasted. Service was a little lacking and definitely was favoring some guests more than others.

We come back to this place at least once every 2 weeks with my husband. We order he same thing every time.

Deep fried chicken (extra crispy) and salty egg tofu.

Their quality has improved throughout the years. This is my comfort restaurant.
