Dallas College Brookhaven Campus

An excellent community college that has the mentality of a University. Many courses and tracks to specialize in. Affordable. Very accommodating to foreign students. Placed in a job in my area of study while in my last semester in 2013. Faculty is generally great. Highly recommended!

I have accommodations and it is above and beyond. I would go here for all my college classes if I could. The professors I’ve had so far are helpful, kind, and great teachers. All the accommodations people are there to help anytime you need them. I appreciate them and, as long as you communicate with accommodations and your professors, they find a way to assist you and help you do very well.

I was at this campus just to get my Student ID this week. Everyone I encountered was kind and helpful from the security desk attendant to the staff in Student Services. When I was looking at one of the outside campus maps to find my way a staff member came up and assisted me with the directions to where I needed to go. Reading the other reviews here, I see others have had problems with admissions and financial aid - I think all universities have lots of complicated paperwork in regards to those areas, so patience is necessary.

Way better than any of the local 4 year colleges I have worked with in the area. The students are friendly with rare exception. The professors actually reward you for showing up and doing the course work and learning the material. The career services office referred me to a temp agency when I needed a job and their staff was really helpful. The financial aid office needs a bigger staff, there's only one person on campus at the window for their office and she doesn't speak great English but that's about the only bad thing I can say. The alumni relations office is courteous and helpful and actually invites me to events! This is by far the best college I have ever interacted with.

Great atmosphere and knowledgeable faculty/staff. Always a great option to take courses if you want to explore different career paths or learn new hobbies. Received my degree a few years back, but I still go up there to visit with old professors.

Wonderful local college! The President, Dr. Braddy and the leadership of the college as a whole are really doing great work to better serve students and the next generation. We are so grateful for our partnership with the college and look forward to working together.

I attended Brookhaven College years ago and it molded me into who I am today. The professors were wonderful and they went over and beyond to help one succeed. It was a wonderful experience and helped me transition into my 4 year college that I attended after my educational career at Brookhaven. A beautiful experience!!!

I am a 35 year old student with experience at other colleges and universities. I have already earned a four-year degree, a two-years degree, and a one-year certificate. Currently, I am taking some prerequisites classes at Brookhaven College to continue my professional career. Without doubt, I can tell you that Brookhaven College is one of the best college that I have attended before. As any other institution, there are some staff employees and professors who harm the college reputation, but they represent an insignificant minority. Since the beginning, you can feel a sense of belonging with the college, there is everything you need: Counseling Center, Career Center, Advising Center, Student Clubs and Organizations, Disability Support, Exercise facilities, Health Center, Multicultural Center, a complete Library, Computer Center, Tutoring Center, among others good facilities. The quality education is at the same level with any other university. They have a greater range of classes that you can take in campus or online. Unfortunately, many people with bag experiences are writing in this blog, and individuals like me that are going to this college and believe in it, are no taking action against those negative comments. But you can take advantage of a good educational institution if you want, is your choice!

This five stars are specially for the Late Carol Hodge. She was one of the great adviser and helped me to get the admission process go very smoothly and easy. You will always be there with us in our prayers!!!

In response to some of the more negative responses, yes there is red tape, but that is everywhere you go. Try going to a University and seeing how fast THEY process you, it is much worse. You cannot beat this for the cost and quality.

Customer Service was absolutely Wonderful from the front desk to the area where the Ladies was doing the Transcript and even the restrooms very nice and clean and Everyone was Polite and Kind very Kind . thank y'all for the experience and may God Bless each and everyone that comes threw these doors. tc

Beautiful scenery and paved trails. I enjoy the pop up fitness stations along the path as well. The equipment is weathered but still very usable!

I read all the review about this college. if you have any problems which I had last week, ask for their supervisor. I though they weren't helpful at all. I was so upset. But when I spoke with his supervisor he was really helpful.

The testing office is awesome. Gary is so easy to work with. We homeschool thru Texas Tech and from time to time we need a test proctored. The staff is awesome and helpful and we are so happy to have found them!

Wonderful school with a thriving sense of community. It feels like a university with all of the groups, extracurricular activities and programs, yet the smaller size helps students from feeling like a number.

Took some certifications and it is great place! thanks to all faculties and staff. I learned a lot during my courses. Happy to be able to teach since then :)

The school is great it has wonderful teachers that will help you when you need it. They also have different labs so thet can help you with your course and tutors will help you understand what is going on.
