We come regularly to this neighborhood favorite. We have been coming for years. We have seen them over the years struggle with community and Covid issues like many other restaurants, PLUS hurricane damage at one point as well! They had to take measures to stay afloat, and we are SO GLAD they survived it all!! These are wonderful people that offer attentive service with an honest, friendly attitude who serve up genuinely good food on a consistent basis. It also says something when you look around and consistently see other Latinos there eating at this restaurant. It’s not Americanized Mexican, it’s authentic Latino food. If you come regularly enough, they remember and treat you like family. I have had practically everything on their menu, and honestly have enjoyed it all. Even their beverages are good and have gotten even better through time! We look forward to enjoying our continued visits to El Jalapeño and highly recommend it to you!

Burrito great. There beef taste like beef and good Mexican seasoning. Nice size plate . Rice and beans seasoned and cooked well. This Brother Danny. I and Lady will be back soon . Tvs 📺 and good Latin music

Excellent place to eat. They have a real kick to the food, not just another run of the mill restaurant. The owner is super involved he comes around to check on you personally. He is always smiling and asking what he can do to help. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in town.

Love this place friendly great prices amazing food great margaritas with full bar...Big Burrito is fantastic now I can't decide which is better Big Burrito or Fauita Burrito they both are amazing Fauita chimicunga and a frozen margarita

1st time to eat at this restaurant, I live 5hrs from Mobile, but I'll always eat here when I'm in town. Excellent service, staff and food.

one. I am 14 now and still come there ,the service is the best. I would recommend come with your family, like my family does.

My wife and I have a detail shop right behind here, and we had dinner last night. I would highly recommend getting the carnitas street tacos. They were flavorful, juicy, had plenty of meat on them. I opted for sliced avocado and sour cream with mine, my wife just lime. The kiddos had cheese quesadillas with fries. Service was impeccable, atmosphere was very nice. 20/10 definitely recommend!

I've been coming here for over 16+ years. I know all the employees. Food is always great and it's my number 1 Mexican restaurant to go too. Employees are always friendly, polite, and smiling. Not once have I ever had a bad experience here.

This is one of the cleanest restaurants I have ever seen. Food is always good and the service is usually on point. Prices have gone up, but that seems to be the norm these days.

Great local Authentic Mexican Restaurant! Friendly staff. Large menu and a vegetarian friendly selection! My husband ordered from the regular menu and I ordered the vegetarian menu, we are both very happy. The servings are large and the seasoning are perfect!
