Went here for the first time. I ordered the mac and cheese bowl and tacos. After I placed my order. 5 minutes in I was told there wasn't any mac and cheese. My daughter was bomb but we sub it out for another item on the menu, the breakfast sandwich. The food taste great! By far the best vegan tacos.

The only con I have is. I wish there was an adult who was more knowledgeable about the restuarant upfront instead of a little child. He did an awesome job for his age. I'm a former teacher and have patience. However, I see someone who isn't being upset.

Overall a good restaurant and I will definitely come back! Customer service from the owner and her child was amazing!

I've taken out from here 5 times in the last few weeks and its been great. The mac and cheese dinner is a delicious heaping serving on home made cornbread that was a fantastic combination. The tacos are a fabulous and huge serving of 5 double layered tortillas with vegan cheesy goodness. Their vegan version of the Juicy Lucy was again a huge serving and blew my mind. I have rarely had anything so good and indulgent before. All the dinners have been great and exceeded my expectations. Nothing here is 'store bought' from what I can tell.

Also on a side note the three times I went in the evening the owners children were there. They are absolutely adorable, welcoming, polite and a delight. It is fun to go just to see them. And they are learning watching their mom work hard and make a go at this during the toughest time ever to open. Historically I dine out infrequently but am coming here for takeout a few times a week for a decadent splurge! Sorry some other people who reviewed did not have a great experience. I have chatted with a few other people who were there picking up that come from all over the city and had a great experience like I did. So perhaps chalk it up to the fact it is brand new and every new restaurant has a few glitches when they first get going. Most likely you will have a great experience and some really great food. I am actually heading there shortly to get more of those tacos today!

This place is a small business owned by one black woman and a family who is extremely dedicated and has turned their classic family recipes into vegan favorites; the food is simply amazing and they have an innovative model that is community based: by partnering with the business next store in providing an all vegan menu, this creates much more change in the community- teaching others about Veganism as well that otherwise would not have access to this information. Many vegan businesses run this way where they are in a shared kitchen- as running and owning a business without this step costs a ton of money: the average commercial kitchen costs $200/220 per square foot. This means that the barrier to entry is much much higher for people to get started, and renting a commercial kitchen is also equally expensive- typically around $15-25 per hour and you then have transportation fees and issues to work out. By having this strategy, partnering with the business next door it makes Veganism more accessible to the community and fosters growth together. I see it as extremely beautiful that this give and take within the community makes this offering possible. I see great things, keep doing and innovating.

I had the breakfast sandwiches (that is vegan by the way!) and onion soup, the food was delicious. I can tell this place has a cool and calm atmosphere to it. Definitely will be coming back and recommend others do as well!

The people here were really nice and they are trying. Unfortunately a lot of the food tastes Store bought from all the ingredients on the breakfast sandwich on, nothing made in house. We were not asked if we were dine in or out. And it appears the vegan food shares a kitchen with the standard meat eating dine in next door. If you need to use a bathroom You need to go next door as well. Also the mac and cheese has to much going on and did not taste like mac and cheese anymore. I love vegan food, I love trying new places, but this is not a place I would go back to.
