Pax Christi Catholic Community

Absolutely a Catholic Church. One that welcomes everyone including BIPOC, LGBTQIA+. I'm glad that people who don't believe it's a true Catholic Church are going elsewhere. We moved out of Eden Prairie and still go to this church because it's so welcoming.

I go to this church every Sunday and I recommend this place. It is contemporary, the people are nice, top of the line facilities, has lots of rooms for classes of all kinds, and also have sign language translation service during the 11am service on Sundays. The choir is top notch. The orchestra band sounds full and great. They have a large kids area too to keep the kids in separate areas while the service is going in the main area. Overall it is the best Catholic Church I've been to. Not only that, the priests are funny too. It's never a boring sermon.

We have been members for many years here. My husband has been a member since the beginning. Our family has celebrated all of the sacraments we can here. The many church board members take very good care of Pax Christi. I fell in love with the whole church when I first came here and knew I wanted to be involved. We are greeters. We have been involved with Meals on Wheels here. The priests are very available and easy to get along with. Father Tim Power married my husband and I. Father Bill Murtaugh married my daughter and son-in-law. Father Byron even has a nice singing voice! We thank God and everyone else at Pax Christi for what happens at Pax Christi!! It is the greatest church in the metro area because it welcomes all kinds of people!! What more could you want in a church? Blessed be Pax Christi!

We live in a neighboring community, and specifically started worshipping at Pax Christie BECAUSE of the contemporary way in which they worship! I grew up with Latin, statues, incense, etc. Never knew what I was saying, only memorize, memorize, etc. Was just beginning to feel joyful, and uplifted with a little bit of new music in our parish, then bam, statues, communion kneelers, Latin, LATIN!!!!! Most of the young people didn't know what hit them! I got tired of feeling as if I were at a funeral every Sunday! Tried Pax, and have been coming ever since!!! It's the most joyful celebration of our Lord and life !! And the emphasis on justice, the music, we've never felt closer to God! Please don't stop doing what you are doing!

I am a cradle catholic, as they say, and was brought up in the Catholic faith at another state. We moved to MN close to four years ago. We sought out several Catholic Churches in the hopes we could feel at home in any of them. This is the church for us. It not only has a very wonderful weekly message, it is an uplifting community. We love the way we can come in and pray with fellow Catholics. Strangers hold hands to pray the Lord’s Prayer. Everyone’s entitled to their opinion. However, I would love to know what the bad reviews think a Catholic mass should look like. It is NOT a celebration of Jesus’ death, but a welcoming of His redeeming resurrection. We remember his sacrifice but also celebrate how He opened the path of Life for us through His resurrection. The priests are so on point, they even got rid of the chair behind the altar and sit along with the people. They only go up to celebrate the rites. Readings and everything else, they sit with the community, among us. Maybe this is “too modern” or “radical” but that’s what Jesus was called when He preached, too. The diversity in the community is beautiful and there is a lot more youth than I’ve seen in other communities. As with everyone in MN, relationships are slow. But we take away strength from God for the upcoming week and trust Jesus will open the community up to us eventually.

Pax Christi is an excellent church. Churchgoers should know that it is more liberal and tolerant than most Catholic churches. Pax Christi has a well connected and extensive community, which ranges from daycare to gardening to Boy Scouts and Venturing. Overall, going to Pax is a wonderful experience.

Pax Christie is an example of what our Lord and Father wants his followers to live each day. Welcoming, caring, kind and wonderful place to be renewed in the Catholic faith. We are challenged each day to be disciples for Christ in our actions. Jesus models that we should reflect his life by not judging others and be welcoming to everyone and Pax Christie models that in the Mass and other programs that they host.

Attended the Christmas Eve Mass service and arrived early to hear the choir and orchestra. Fr. Bill introduction that we welcome all in our community was very stated and appreciated.

Very loving and beautiful place of worship. My family and I go to this church every Sunday. Father Bill is the best!

I've many friend and I try to keep an open mind when it comes to visiting others churches! It's a wonderful place!
