Well!! Was in the area and just had to stop by my old haunt. It was as I remembered it...complete strangers teasing and laughing with each other and the staff...and the regulars giving complicated instructions on the preparation of their particular order.
(Point of interest...if someone orders a soup...and hold the dumplings...they will not consent to your request for the person's rejected dumplings be added to your bowl)
(...no..it was not me)
The red bean soup was w.o.n.d.e.r.f.u.l...
I washed it down with some well made peanut punch...a bottle of Mauby...then a small bottle water...to rinse. Because I was about to start in on the spice bun and the ginger shirley biscut.
I was happy to see the Lady behind the counter again after my being away for so many years. She was a pleasant and teasing person then...and I observed that she was still the same now.
I highly recommend!

Best Jamaican restaurant in the area. Their food is always fresh and delicious. I can actually eat it without it being so spicy, I can't eat it.

I just love there patties. They take me back. This store stays busy. So try to get there early or you have to wait for the next batch.

Tried a couple patties and a pastry-- PERFECT. They were flaky and flavorful and the women working here were super friendly.
