I've only went twice, but it was great both times. Went with my friends and we had a good time. Good service staff made the visits very welcoming, especially thankful for them allowing to split the bill a for quite a few people. The food is pretty good for the costs. It has a nicr view of the river too. My friend loves the steaks here and always gets it. It looks pretty good.

Never let's you down! Dinosaur BBQ is synonymous to Troy waterfront. I have been coming to this place for a decade now and it's beautiful in the summer, specifically during sunset. The briskets and pulled pork are a highlight. One of the best collard greens I have ever had. If you are in Troy and love BBQ, don't miss this.

ok First and foremost EMMA was AMAZING!! The knowledge she has on guiding me on the extra charred wings was spot on as I've traveled everywhere and I live food! I've been to Buffalo and all over south. These wings are the BEST EVER! I ordered the 1/2 Family meal with two sides which is always on point! But the vibe and atmosphere was amazing and really made my day! Emma's dedication should not go unnoticed it's employees like this that all business owners such as myself hope for while hiring! YOU GUYS ARE DOING IT RIGHT THANK YOU

Sitting on the bank of the Hudson River in Troy, this restaurant is a popular family place to eat delicious BBQ dishes! We enjoyed the BBQ pork Bowl with mashed sweet potatoes, collard greens, cornbread, and a tossed salad topped with a deviled egg! The dessert menu was concise but offered decadent choices! Peanut butter pie with chocolate cookie base and silky cheesecake with a caramel drizzle.....both out of this world! Enjoy!

Ribs , chicken , pulled pork and brisket were great. Potato salad was better than the Mashed potatoes imo. The staff was weird about giving me bbq sauce in containers to go for some reason 🤷🏻‍♂

Nice BBQ Restaurant next to the Hudson River. Very good BBQ food with a good selection of different meat and sides.
Good and reasonable prices.
The nachos as a starter is a MUST.

Coming from experience with Kansas City and St. Louis BBQ, Dinosaur was delicious and on par with some of the best BBQ I've had! With their mix of traditional styles, they make their mark with a unique smoke forward flavor AND well balanced sauce on their brisket and pulled pork. The hot link was delicious too!

Rock, ribs, and really good meat! No wait time if you go sit at the bar, friendly service, really good food. Really good food. Wings can get seriously spicy.

Very pleased with everything. Large portions of delicious food. You'll need a box for leftovers.

I’m not a BBQ connoisseur, but I’ve had my fair share on my travels around the country and Dinosaur has some really, really good BBQ. The ribs on our recent visit were particularly delicious, as was the pulled pork. Their sauces are awesome, and portions were generous. We were told it would be a 30-minute wait on a busy Sunday night, but we ended up being seated in about 10 minutes, and only waited another 10 for our food.

Every time we pass through this area, we’ll be stopping for great food and a cool riverside location.

Although they said the wait would be 15-20 minutes, we were seated in 5. Our waitress, Krista, was very pleasant, knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. Our food came out quickly, generous portions, hot and very flavorful. We were pleasantly surprised with how absolutely delicious the food was. We were visiting from Atlanta, GA and can't wait to get back there. Please open a location in the metro Atlanta area. I know you will do well.

If you are looking for good food and drinks (diverse menu) around the capital region this is your place.
We tried the spicy shrimp and Dino Putine for the appetizer and got the Combo meet as the main course.
For drinks I had the tropical sunrise 🍹and I loved it. If you’d rather something stronger like my husband get Dino Margarita :)

Discovering Dinosaur BBQ in the Capital Region a few years back was a great find. Been here many times and have always enjoyed whatever I have ordered. From the ribs, brisket, chicken to the Cuban sandwich and the sides to match. You cannot go wrong with anything that you order. The ribs are tender and seasoned/smoked perfectly. It's hard to choose your sides because they're all so good, my favorite sweet potato, mac/cheese and cole slaw. This Dinosaur location is conveniently located off (87) and (787) and has some nice outdoor seating with great views of the surrounding area and the Hudson River. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. They also have a nice selection of beer on the tap and specialty drink menu. Plenty of parking. Check their website for events.

Awesome bbq. Great menu with big portions. Service was very fast. The sides are just as good as the meals! Beautiful restaurant definitely recommend

Amazing, delicious food. Price was good. Waitress nove bit bit too eager to move customers along. I recommend the family style dinner where you get a bit of everything for a decent price. Great view of the water too! Will go there again when in the area.

Food was amazing... Did have to wait for a table 35 mins at 430pm on Saturday...

As always, the experience at Dino is quality. Good food, good drinks and great staff! Super consistent great place to go, very reliable. Also a fun environment at the bar, since the bar staff is always a lot of fun and pretty attentive!

The entire dining experience was great. The host team was super friendly and welcoming. We were promptly seated next to the river and enjoyed the view of the Hudson and Island. As always the food was prompt and perfect. The tomatoes were perfect; crisp, hot, and delicious. We shared a BBQ Family meal with lots to bring home. Aly was a great server; knowledgeable, prompt with refills, always there when we needed something. Great job to the entire Dino team in Troy. Roar! (Or whatever a T Rex says!)
