Drifters

This place is great. There is only one person taking care of the bar and restaurant but he did a great job of managing both. I eat here everytime I stay in Rochester and the food and beer are always wonderful. I really enjoyed the Mahi tacos and the Jambalaya plate. I would definitely recommend.

I dined here several times during my conference weekend. My waitress Danielle was kind, thoughtful and someone who always made sure I was satisfied. She remembered what beverages I prefer, and was professional and friendly. It wasn't her fault that sometimes the food was pretty slow coming out. But it WAS a pretty busy weekend with this conference in town. The food was worth the wait!

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn and we were looking for a quick bite to eat and a few drinks. We weren't disappointed. The meal was quick, hot and tasty. Courtney was our server, she was awesome. She was quick on refills, super friendly and efficient. I got the Burger and had no complaints. Cooked liked I asked and good taste. Thank you!

Was in from out of town, along with another actor friend of mine (who is from NYC) and I was desperately looking for some place that was not only open on a Monday but that also had good food! Drifters was perfect! Even better, they have poutine (which is a slice of home for me, being Canadian)!

We both enjoyed two different types of salad and the ambiance was fantastic.

We had trouble finding the side entrance but called the restaurant and someone let us in through the front door.

A smashing success! A wonderful evening. We were sat and had the place to ourselves and I was worried because of that, but people started filling in, soon thereafter!

THE MAC AND CHEESE IS HEAVEN !! I had the Chicken and Waffles which was honestly better than I thought it would be. The waffle was big and fluffy, it may have been wheat too? I’m not sure but it was delicious and the chicken big and perfect. I could barely finish. My friend had Buffalo Chicken w/ Mac and Cheese. His meat was perfection as if it was made to order and the Mac and Cheese was soooooooooo good I had to order a side for myself and for 7$ you get a whole heck of a lot!! I recommend this place to anyone at anytime of the day!

Went down stairs for bar snacks and drinks. Ended up with incredible sample platter for 2 of snacks. Staff couldn’t have been more accommodating! The chef put it together on one plate for fun and enjoyable snack that became our dinner. Great beer selection with many local options.

I thought this place was amazing for being in a hotel. The one server/bartender was awesome as well!

Excellent bartender. That alone would be worth the trip there. I enjoyed my food as well. Great BLT flat bread, chicken tenders and fries. Everything was very good. There was a l9t of l9cal beers on tap as well., I'd say five or six at least. Definitely worth stopping by and checking it out yourself.

Standard hotel fare, staffed with incredible people. Everyone was so nice to us, and made us feel right at home. The pours were ENORMOUS and exactly what you'd want from every bartender. Greasy job!

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The food was amazing and came out fast and the environment was very relaxed and modern. The waiter was very attentive and professional and I would certainly go back!

Very nice restaurant & bar inside the hotel. Staff was friendly & the food delicious.

Ate here 3 nights in a row while in Rochester on business. Simple menu but excellent execution. Very impressed with the Reuben tonight. Thick marble rye toasted and finished on the grill perfectly. Challenge with a Reuben is to keep the bottom bun from being soggy, the chef accomplished this 100%! Crisp crust on the bread but not overdone so it became too hard to chew. Excellent job Chef Todd.

I love the food here and the service is always great. I highly recommend it here if you looking for something really good.

Not from Rochester, so don't know how it compares locally, but service was excellent and very quick. A bit pricey but not unreasonable for a hotel pub in a downtown district. Similar pricing to similar places in other cities, but the food is a bit better here I think. Overall a lovely experience.

For a hotel restaurant/bar this place delivered. Friendly staff, good food..especially the wings, and priced pretty good as well. A must try if you're staying in the Hilton Garden Inn on East Main in Rochester.

Was in Rochester for less than a day, on my way back to the airport I stopped in to "fuel up" so that I wouldn't be subjected to plane snacks on my way home to Austin.

The chicken and waffles were so good I honestly almost cried. There was not one bad thing. At all. The chicken was beautifully fried, not heavily battered and the waffles were that dreamy crisp on the outside while fluffy inside. I genuinely want to find a way to bring them to Austin. They were absolutely the best. The restaurant itself was super cute as well and my glass of wine (Josh Cellars I think?) was great too. Let's just say that everything there was so great I didn't even stop to take a picture because I was enjoying it so much. Idk how it could be better. Come to Austin, you belong here with us 😉

Fantastic food, a friend and I went there after a couple nearby businesses had too long a wait without a reservation. Our waiter was very friendly and quick, we shared a chicken parm poutine and it was probably the best poutine combo I've ever tried! I got the baseball steak and it was cooked perfectly medium. If I'm in the area I'll stop here again!

Best meal we had all weekend! We stayed at the attached hotel and had hoped to explore downtown, but other restaurants were all booked up. Now we wish we had just made Drifters the first choice - it was great! Chuck was an awesome server with great conversation and recommendations. The wings were delicious and crispy. And our salads were fresh and filling. 10/10 - definitely recommend Drifters to anyone in the area.

High end Steampunk meets Farmhouse within a gem of downtown Rochester. The drinks are great, and plentiful. The food is amazing, and prepared fresh. Their shrimp scampi is to die for!!!
