Foodtown of Prospect Heights

This grocery store has a great selection of specialty items (imported organic goat's cheese & imported gluten-free crackers from Norway), as well as basics. Plus one of the managers (Ahab) is super eager to please, so if there's an item you want (fancy Bubby's sauerkraut) just let him know and he'll order it for you. How nice is THAT?

This supermarket is packed with fresh fruits, sandwiches, cheeses galore and has plenty of healthy delights. They even have a great meat selection. It's hard trying to shop within a constrained time frame because each aisle has something to offer.

Two day search succeeded thanks to brother Eddie I had an absolute blast here a bit pricey however family and friends are in and out that makes for a great experience thank you.

I am visiting from NC, but originally from Brooklyn. Plenty of items to choose from. Deli food looks delish, but I haven't tried it yet! Warm and friendly atmosphere as well as cleanliness! Love the convenience....which is across the street from the house I visit. The only negative is....THE PRICES ARE OUTRAGEOUS, coming from the south. Will I return ... certainly, because no matter where I go, the prices are the same. The salad I purchased looks amazing... I just haven't eaten it yet.

Love shopping here. They have an amazing selection at great prices, keep the produce well stocked and have an amazing middle eastern selection. Our go to for house hold basics.

Love it here. Good selection, great people, feels like supporting more of a local business even though it's a chain. I also use their online pickup/delivery service which is also great.

Great grocery store--great selection, fair pricing, great produce section, and incredibly friendly and helpful staff. This is a family-run business and it shows!

Very nice clean place to shop no complaints

I appreciate foodtown so much for all the reasons mentioned in the review. A little lesser known is that they started carrying some asian buns, frozen dumplings, and fresh Asian noodles in a small section of the frozen isle.

Wonderful theater, staff are great. Very clean, and you can't beat these prices. It's so nice to have a fantastic small theater in the area. It reminds me that I love going to the movies!

Great little grocery store near Prospect Park. They have just about anything you need.

I've been going there for over 35 years. It is run by the most kindness family who just love what they do -- feed and provide you with whatever you need to keep healthy and not poor. A perfect example is before closing everyday, they announce that their delicious sushi that is meticulously prepared are half price. It's not just that they believe that worldwide food waste is a problem and that is primarily the reason why there is starvation in other countries that sell all their resources for profit while most of the people have nothing to eat but because they want to give their neighbors a break during these hard times. Thier philosophy is contagious. There are times that neighboring stores bring their food over to be given free at the end of the day so it does not get wasted and at the same time promote their goods. Kindness is not dead yet.

This supermarket has the best vegetarian products. I discovered this awesome vegetarian chick in. So delicious!

My neighborhood grocery store. This is a gentrified, yuppified neighborhood, so if you're expecting an affordable, all-encompassing grocery store, forget it. BUT for the location it's perfectly fine. There is no in-house butcher but there are decent selections of everything. Good place for necessities.
And, mainly, nice people, friendly. I left a set of keys here once and they had it waiting for me when I raced back half an hour later.

Never have a bad experience here. The staff Is always so nice , you can tell everyone is basically family ! The cashiers greet everyone, other places the cashiers aren't as nice. And while I get the neighborhood we are in is a semi high class one and I come from the bronx to walk a dog over here and come to food town, at least I get to feel that niceness no one else seems to want to give in other areas. So thanks guys. I appreciate you !
