Cafe Bernardo - Midtown

The barista made one of the best chai’s I’ve ever had in Sacramento. I came here a second time and was impressed with the mocha as well. The manager and all the workers are very attentive and friendly. Overall you can’t go wrong with the service they provide.

My son and I had a great lunch date here on the patio. I’m gluten free, and had plenty of delicious sounding options. I ultimately choose the quinoa salad and my son got the Cubano. We shared an order of fries, which were among the best I’ve had - hot and crispy! All the food was delicious. The patio was delightful with all the plants.

This is for Mike, our server. You rock! Mike is the face of this business and has the hustle. Mike served the food, checked in on all the guest, and bussed the tables with a fast pace, everyone else on duty were just going through the motions. To the young lady taking our order, hang in there. To the owners, get your POS/ SOFTWARE working, being glitchy for 2 months is unacceptable and making your employees jobs more difficult. Mike, if your reading this, I'm the guy with the Stitch bag 🤣 dining with his daughter. 👊

Love the new Cafe Bernado! The atmosphere is really hip cool with several different areas to enjoy. Love the lounge bar in the back and cool private conference/ dining room. The food quality is very good, fresh and tasty. The food and beverage prices are very reasonable. The service is good (not great), I gave 4 of 5 stars because we had to wave our server down several times during our meal (and servers from other sections would see we wanted someone but walk away or ignored us), but the server was pleasant when he came. We tried the Thai noodles (Bernardo staple), curry, Bahn mi and a burger. Everything was delicious, fresh and nice portions. Our chocolate cake dessert was just ok. They have a good selection of craft beer and make a decent cocktail too. I would definitely recommend this location over any other and will be back very soon.

Love love love this place. My mom and I used to come here before the rebuild after her doctor's appts and sit outside and enjoy good food, my favorite cookies and Mac and cheese and whatever she wanted that day. Sadly she passed in 2018 but I keep up the tradition and visit after my Dr appts. I feel close to my mother during my visits❣And the puppocinos can enjoy the outdoors as well.

I loved my curry! My husband’s burger was good, nothing too special. The ambience is calming and beautiful, and the staff offered great service.

Came during lunch when it was counter service. Food was excellent! I recommend the salad sampler (quinoa, chopped and Thai chicken are my favs). Everyone raves about the carrot cake although I didn't have it.

Such a great experience. Stopped here for a quick lunch while dress shopping. Lots of healthy food choices and very welcoming environment. The timing for the food was a little long, about the same timing of a normal sit down restaurant. The food was amazing and fresh. I would highly recommend this little cafe. The only I wish they had were more waste baskets and recycle bins.

The bathrooms were also clean.

Had the Point Reyes bleu cheese burger. It was scrumptious! I always like the quality and consistency of Cafe Bernardo. Also we had their delicious hot beverages served in bowl. Nunu, our Barista did the most amazing froth art! A lotus blossom on my mom’s mocha and a string of hearts on my latte!

Stopped in for a morning drink on a Friday. Delicious espresso martinis made by Ness. Super cute aesthetic. We sat outside on an early fall day, what a vibe.

From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, Joaquin's attentiveness stood out. He welcomed me warmly, exuding a genuine friendliness that set the tone for the entire evening. Throughout the meal, he demonstrated an impressive knowledge of the menu and a sincere passion for the culinary offerings.

On Joaquin's recommendation, I opted for the Spice Rubbed Mary's Chicken Breast, and I am delighted to say that it was a culinary masterpiece. The flavors were expertly balanced, and the presentation was nothing short of artistry on a plate. Joaquin's suggestion showcased not only his familiarity with the menu but also his keen understanding of his patrons' preferences.

We had food from Cafe Bernardo at the Hotel bar. As you can see in the pic. Food was delicious and some of the drinks fell short on the delivery like the Sazerac drink.

Great outdoor patio, cocktails are incredible and our server was top notch. Perfect place for a date night. I suggest going into the bar location (closer to the restrooms) very swanky vibe and the AC is amazing!
Would definitely come back here for dinner and drinks.

Great easy place to grab food on a night we are in Sacramento for a show. Fast and friendly. And not too expensive. The menu offers something for everyone. I love the Stir Fry Noodle bowl. My husband always gets their burgers!

Very nice atmosphere and calming. The bar is where you want to be because the ambiance is fabulous and plenty of seating/ intimate with adequate space. Super friendly and attentive server/bartender and the salmon salad is absolutely delightful!

Kimchi fried rice was bomb (not too much kimchi at all) and the pancake was melt in your mouth. Service was great and the ambiance & location were tremendous as well.

Wow! What a find. Next door to the hip Tapestry Hilton. Breakfast was a treat! I enjoyed the morning air and a big tasty fast breakfast with great service. Highly recommend. Walked right through the lobby to the cafe. Not your typical hotel food - owned and operated by a local family. Attractive setting and very relaxing.
