Safeway located on Alhambra Boulevard on the edge of East Sacramento and Midtown Sacramento, They have plenty of parking with security and the cashiers are friendly and helpful, they also have fresh salads 🥗 a pastry section, deli, money 💰 orders, Western Union, Starbucks and plenty of groceries to choose from, and the inside is well stocked and clean, I highly recommend for your every day needs, 5 ⭐'s hands down

People have fun working here. There is a generational generative community feeling in shopping here. I enjoyed finding and purchasing Safeway Signature Items often best quality and price!
I wish there were a place to sit down and rest some.
I love these prices that makes it A OK to slow down and attentively look shop and endurance relax.

Safeway's superb grocery store has been an absolute delight to visit. The store is clean, well-stocked, and they have a great variety of high-quality products. But what sets this place apart is their truly exceptional staff. They are always friendly, approachable, and go above and beyond to assist customers. On every visit, I've noticed their willingness to help locate items, give recommendations, or simply brighten a customer's day with a warm smile. It's refreshing to experience such dedicated customer service. I highly recommend this Safeway store for a seamless and pleasant shopping experience.

Cool place for grocery shopping and everything else...

Love this Safeway location too, though I typically shop at the one on 19th. Always a safe bet that I get what I need plus extra treats that I didn’t know I needed until I saw them...

I picked up cupcakes from the Safeway bakery for my daughters birthday.
They were amazing vanilla with white vanilla icing they tasted just like a Twinkie!
They were amazing!
Also the lady in the bakery gets a five star ad well she was very helpful!

This is the largest grocery store near our house. So we can get a variety of things - food, pet food, alcoholic beverages, frozen foods, and there is much more! Oh, there is a Pharmacy, Starbucks, Bakery, Delicatessen, & some others! This is nice to have all this close to our house!!

One of the cashier's was super nice and told us to go see the new avatar movie. I wish they worked at my Safeway. Hope they see this and know they are doing a good job. I can't remember their name but they were very nice

Over 20 plus years I've been shopping at Safeway downtown. You will feel welcomed and enjoy your shopping experience. The employees are very attentive and customer service oriented.
I love that Safeway regardless of the homeless people outside they overcompensate by providing safe enjoyable shopping atmosphere.

Safeway's prices are definitely on the higher end of the spectrum, but their late hours are THE best! They're the ONLY grocery store chain opened past 11 PM, with some being 24 hour, like the one on Fair Oaks. Luckily this location is the one closest to my home because they're open all the way until 1 AM 😻!!!

The staff at this store are super kind. Lisa is always so willing to help, always has a beautiful smile to greet you. Very clean, produce always looks great, the bakery always willing to slice your fresh baked bread and a good meat dept.

Safeway stores are a "safe way" to shop- I have always experienced safety there in all stores. Along with having an amazing variety of items, brands and choice products. The shelves are always neat and prices are placed where you can see them. The stores are clean, employees Always helpful and available to help you. I think we all would be suffering without Safeway and their employees. Thank you Safeway!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was clean and everything seemed to run smoothly. The seem to clean and replace the food area pretty often as I saw them cleaning everything and replacing the soups while I was there.

I was in store today (8/20/18) and the staff was so friendly and helpful. The BBQ pork fr the Chinese deli is very good. Was there at about 12:30 an only waited about 2-3 minutes before I was waited on. When I went to check out there was no wait time. Staff was so helpful and knowledgeably about where products are and the quality of the products. I will be returning as often as I can. Store is very clean and is laid out very well .

Its a cool place and good friendly staff my only issue was getting a bigger size wheelchair through was not good and the to staff members saleing cigarettes and money orders were a little rude mumbling under breath should have smaller wheelchair i shrugged my shoulder and moved a heavy obstacle a little bit was barely able to squeeze my wife through. Other than that good place to shop but ruff area at the same time

Great having a Safeway Alhambra and 29th area and Del taco and McDonald's close by as well. Safeway has been a favorite of mine for their floral department, and you will not be disappointed to give it a try. seriously gorgeous and it's always something different so I love to wander around and it's a great way to brighten my day each time I shop at a Safeway.

Best sandwiches..
Well appointed food court for a quick lunch. Actually, the secret is out and the lunch rush lines are getting longer, so keep that in mind between 11-1. Worth the wait! Starbucks is also inside. Best part great customer service.
