Surf Brothers Teriyaki and Catering

I love surf brothers. The food is always fresh and delicious. Their staff is always friendly. I’ve been going to the Escondido store for years and it never disappoints. Jose always has a smile for his customers… thank you everyone at the Escondido store for always being so welcoming.

It's never a miss here. I probably go here a little too much but its just that good. The staff is always nice and the food is great. Easy to order online and just walk in and pick it up.

The food in this establishment is delicious and a healthy alternative to all the fried unhealthy food. Jose at the front is amazing. His customer service is amazing. You can tell he loves what he does and values his customers. I have become a regular not only their delicious food but their customer service.

Jose and his crew are so great so welcoming every single time we come in here. With things how they are in the world now in days it's really such a pleasure coming in here. These are the kind of employees we need to take care of!! Professional, hardworking, place is always clean. They deserve more than 5 stars if it was possible.

This place is excellent! Extremely picky on my teriyaki sauce I usually make it! But I don’t now! I live about 20 miles away from surf brothers and I make it a point to come get my teriyaki here.

This place has been one of my favorites for 20 years. The combo plate is delicious perfection with the meat always tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I buy a bottle of the sauce to keep in my kitchen. The staff is always incredibly nice.

Surf Brothers is the best! Love the chicken & steak. The sliders are awesome! And trust me, you gotta try the don burri chicken! My family's been eating Surf Brothers since they opened their first store in Encinitas (shout out to Tokyo Teriyaki!). Started with my Dad taking us as kids to get the chicken skewers. And now I take my daughter on the regular to get her favorite...chicken & rice. The owners are great guys! and i can't say enough kind things about them. When my Dad passed, they were super kind & helpful when I had Dad's favorite Surf Brothers catered at his Celebration of Life. And years later, they again were there when we chose Surf Brothers to be catered at our daughter's baby shower (which everybody loved). Victor, Jose and the rest of the staff in Escondido are great people, who we've chatted with for years. And the staff in Encinitas and Carlsbad are really great people as well. I highly recommend Surf Brothers! The food is fresh, it's healthy, and it tastes great! Highly recommend it!

The best quality on all the ingredients, esp the chicken.

Only four choices of meals which makes things simple and prices are good considering the quality of ingredients.

A quick tip is to ask for more teriyaki sauce cause you are going to want to put this on your rice at home!

Service is quick for take out and everything is super clean and safe. You don't have to hand anyone your credit card or anything. Def try out this local chain if you are nearby!

I am regular at this place and love the food and catching up with my favorite cashier Jose, who is always an absolute treasure.

Always consistently good. My favorite is Don Burry teriyaki chicken.

Awesome food, service and location!! Been eating here for years.

I have been going to Surf Brothers in Escondido for many years. I love the food and simple menu. This allows them to focus on quality and consistency. Jose and his team are always very friendly. Jose remembers his regular customers and like me my regular order although always checks to see if I want something different. The flavors are really great. They appreciate feedback if you have any problems with your order or if you don’t feel it being quite up to par they take care of you. I highly recommend this restaurant and wish they would open another one on the west side of Escondido.

I apologize for never finishing my review!! I moved out of state for 8 years and since I've been back I've probably gotten you guys delivered like once a month! I love it so much! It's always perfectly cooked and your rice is absolutely otherworldly!

We used Surf Brother for our Son's Wedding Rehearsal Dinner and it was awesome!!! It was as if the manager Jose was one of our Family members. The Employees all kept looking at the clock to make sure we were on schedule. Food was delicious. Sliders were not soggy. The Vegan dishes were kept vegan. I was asked at least 7 times if I had cooked the meal myself. It was that good. We are talking above and beyond. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a delicious, stress free meal.

So I tried it for the first time on Wednesday, and I had to come bsck today, it's that good.
I had the chicken Teriyaki. The portion was generous, the sauces very flavorful and it's a very good value for your Money. The restaurant is clean and the staff is so friendly!
Today was my second time eating here and I will be s customer for a long time.

My husband and kids are huge fans! We all wish that the Teriyaki sauce flavor/ingredients would go back to the way it was before though. It used to be thicker and sweeter. Now it's thinner (more watery), super salty and tastes more like soy sauce rather than Teriyaki sauce. I'm assuming like most other food establishments that costs and change in vendors may be the reasoning, unfortunately for the customer/s our prices keep climbing as well and the quality isn't at least staying the same due to these unfortunate circumstances we're all experiencing.
The customer service and staff at this location are great though and always remember my husband when he walks in.

I wish that we were given the option with chicken to be only white meat, only dark meat, or both. My daughter & I are extremely picky meat eaters (texture sensitive) and typically order plain rice without a protein.
