Evergreen Chinese Restaurant & Buffet

Food is always so good, sometimes we go multiple times a week. Staff is very friendly.

I just wish there was a larger selection of food and that we’d be approached more often for drink refills as we usually have to flag someone down for a refill, but that’s probably because they’re usually very busy and possibly short staff so it’s understandable.

Anyways, I crave this place everyday and I wish I could even more often than I already do lol. It’s one of the only restaurants that don’t give me an upset stomach.

Terrific Chinese buffet close to us in Kent, OH Met our son, who is a regular there, at lunch to celebrate our anniversary. We'll laid out and maintained. Everyone was super-friendly, and the price was reasonable.

We've been here probably nearing 100 times during last year and still come here atleast once a week for take out. The owner (I assume because he's always at the front desk everytime my girlfriend & I go there), is very personable and always very grateful for our service!

I also wanna mention the food is always hot, fresh and love the string string beans! (Like I seen them bring in a whole crate of fresh bean from the market!) I'm sorry it took this long to make a review and know that no joke, with their flavorful cuisine, friendly & clean atmosphere and their very fair/affordable prices, We will continue coming here till we die. 10/10+

But it was really interesting to see the comments. Why not eat at home when you can cook better .Some people get bad reviews for not tipping. Some people give themselves bad marks for wasting food. Aren't you ashamed of what you've done？

Best place to eat in portage county if you like Chinese food. There is a few things I would add to the menu. Food is great. Management is great. Friendly staff. Never met the new owner but he keeps it the same as the old owner (chin). I probably didn't spell it correctly, I'm sorry. Anyway if your in the Kent area and like buffets this is the place. You can also do take out.

My favorite place to go with my kids when I'm in Kent. Always clean!!!! The garlic green beans are my favorite. I also love the eggplant dish. The bbq ribs are so good.

My son is super picky and loves General tsos.

Really friendly and good service and at $15 all you can eat dinner it's exactly what we were looking for. Everything was good, nothing was undercooked, or so overcooked you couldn't eat it. We may have found our new Kent place.

They have amazing food. Every time I have dined in the staff was courteous, accommodating, and efficient. The all-you-can-eat bar was clean and well-stocked. Their take-out food is probably one of the best around. The prices are comparable to the quality of the meals. Definitely worth the drive to Kent, for dine in or take out😍😍😍

First time here. Small buffet but had excellent choices for lunch. Food was hot n fresh at 230pm. And they kept bringing out fresh food . Owner is friendly and staff are great. Great cook here. All food was flavorful. Even though couple dishes are same at other buffets here is 10x better. Highly recommend try it out!!!

Awesome smaller buffet with a LARGE selection including Sushi. The quality of food was a step up from most buffets of this type. Well worth it. Stop in!

I started going to this restaurant when I was little. I grew up in Kent. I recently went back, and nothing had changed. The nostalgia was amazing.

Plus who doesn't love a buffet, am I right? 🙃

Always has the freshest options, delicious food. Nothing like the volcanic three, Chrispy chicken, green beans, and hot and sour soup!

The food is great, and the staff is pleasant! One of the fav spots to dine on "girls day out"!!! Reasonable cost too❣

The food is always really delicious and fresh. There are lots of vegetarian options including mixed veggie and tofu dishes, though I’ve heard the meat options are very good as well. Whenever I’m craving Chinese, Evergreen never fails to satisfy!!

My husband and I come here regularly. We love the food and hot tea. Every time someone visits us from out of town, this is the first place we take them. Definitely recommend! It can be a bit pricy depending on what time of day you go, but everything is expensive now days. You can save some money by just doing carry out and getting priced by weight.

By far my favorite Chinese buffet around. There are so many options to choose from and they are all equally delicious. They have the best egg drop soup, sushi, and sweet and sour chicken. The staff is very friendly and always talk to my daughter when we come in. They are very family friendly. I never have to ask for a booster seat they are already bringing one to our table. I wish they still offered crab legs but I understand things are hard to get right now and very expensive. I think paying for what you don't eat is very good idea. People waste so much food at buffets they should have to pay for leaving a whole plate of food they only took 2 bites off of. We will be back again soon!

Visited again 4/29 as always fresh and delicious food, friendly waitress and the staff is always very kind. The banana pudding was a pleasant surprise.
