Georgia's Original Bun & Burger

Love the food here. No matter what I am in the mood for they always have something for me. Stuffed Pork chops are one of my favorites, though. Gene is the most amazing server ever, we just love eating here.

The service and food were great. Had George's burger with cheddar cheese and fries. It disappeared into my mouth. Definitely will be back for homemade cake and pie.

If you're looking for what is referred to as a hole in the wall, this is the place for you. The food was delicious and plentiful. The service was awesome. If you're in the neighborhood, it's definitely worth stopping in for a meal.

It was so deliciously amazing. Ordered the bacon cheeseburger and the reuben. Both were so delicious. And the wait staff were all so kind and friendly. They made me feel welcome. I will definitely be returning and I will definitely recommend to friends and family.

Excellent friendly service with great food, old time diner vibe to this place with memorabilia on the walls , large portions of food so you’ll get your money’s worth, you’ll definitely leave this place full , I’ll be back real soon

Georgia's Original Bun and Burger is a family favorite for breakfast on Sundays. The restaurant has been in business for a long, long time and is always packed. Be ready to wait up to 45 minutes on Sunday morning.

Their menu is varied and includes the classic breakfast favorites and some pleasant surprises like grits and menudo. I haven't had the grits yet but the menudo is delicious and comes with all the trimmings. Hangover cure, anyone?

If you like waffles, the waffle is a good size and cooked to perfection: crunchy on the outside and a soft inside. For an extra treat, they offer the banana and walnut waffle. They also make good huevos rancheros. Everything is delicious and fairly priced. Treat yourself to a slice of their tasty zucchini bread IF they have it. I've been told, a local woman makes it, and it sells out pretty quickly. If mimosas are your thing, go for it. They're served in big glasses with a good kick. 😀

Another positive of Georgia's is the service. Most of the staff have been there forever. It's nice to see a friendly face.

Their chicken and waffles, biscuits and gravy are amazing! Their service and atmosphere is what makes it beyond great! Came back for the 2nd time today, will be back soon

Update: came back again for a family friend's birthday everyone loved their food. At our table people got the BBQ bacon burger with fries, a double cheese burger with onion rings and a side of biscuits and gravy, a vanilla milkshake, the home made chips are delicious as well! The service as always amazing! Will be back again

Great place with plenty of breakfast and lunch Items. The hamburgers are awesome and pretty big the breakfast plates are pretty filling. They do sell alcohol (domestic and imported beer, wine). The staff is very friendly and theres plenty of parking. So if you're hungry this is the perfect spot. Enjoy.

Please stop here if only for the biscuits and gravy!!! The best I've ever eaten. Fluffy, tasty biscuits are smothered in decadent sausage gravy. I ordered an extra serving after my breakfast. This will be on my "must stop" list. Making a mental note right now.

I went for all day breakfast and had stuffed French toast and biscuits and gravy, all delicious. The service was amazing. Definitely one of my favorite places now.

Great service! From the bussers to the hostess, it was a great team effort. Love to see everyone taking care of the customer. Food was awesome 👌! Went there for a taste of americana breakfast - was not disappointed. Everything we ordered was delicious. They even had a thick homemade salsa - for us that like a little more flavor. Just a cool place to take the family.

Places like Georgia's original bun and burger are a dying breed. First things first when coming here, come hungry. I've never left this establishment not feeling like I needed to loosen a button or two. Everything at this spot is also homemade and delicious. I've yet to try anything that is subpar. My personal recommendations are the burgers, on my last stop I had the pastrami burger with which I added cheese and grilled onions. Also a word of warning as well this joint has a large group of regular patrons so also come patient as there is limited space that may require you to wait. Wholeheartedly recommend this old fashion diner that I fervently hope continues to provide us Covina locals with delicious comfort food to imbibe in for decades to come.

First time here and I love it. It has an 80s dinner feel to it food is very affordable and very tasty. They have specials that are worth trying. They also have mimosas for those who enjoy a light drink for lunch. Definately recommended and will visit again.

First time having breakfast here and they did not disappoint. The decor is dated, but love it. It reminded me when I was a child going to a diner with my parents. Come check them out.

Retro diner with great music and even better food and service. In the picture, California omelette with home fries and toast. Coffee with refills and they have hazelnut creamer :)

My go to for breakfast. Ham and cheese omelet excellent. The potatoes with vegetables are great or hash browns are both good. When trying to stay off carbs, I get the sliced tomatoes substitute. Great wait staff. Show up early in weekends or you’ll be waiting.

Georgia’s Original Bun & Burger is a hidden gem. If you are looking for a flash back to the past in regard to atmosphere, quality and service, this is a great choice. Located on the corner of Rowland and Shopper’s Lane, it has been able to retain the original feel and look while being very clean and not looking outdated or old. There are record sleeves covering from the early 50s to the late 80s decorating the walls and while they have music playing, not only did we have no problem hearing each other, we did not have to talk above either the other patron’s conversations or the music.
This is a “mom and pop” diner, so most of the menu dishes run between $10 and $15 but are still a value due to the quality of the ingredients and the sizes of the meals. I had the Hot Turkey Sandwich, which consisted of several slices of roasted turkey breast over 2 slices of white bread with homemade mashed potatoes all covered with turkey gravy. The potatoes texture was very refreshing because it is primarily creamy but there were still some small pieces of potato as well as a couple actual chunks. There was also a side of jellied cranberry sauce, which I had them hold as I do not personally like it. My friend had the salad and half BLT sandwich. The salad was fresh because all the ingredients were crisp, chilled and fresh tasting. She had the choice of bread and toasted or not. The bacon was cooked to the point where is was crispy with the fat rendered properly without crumpling after taking a bite.
The bathrooms are still gender specific, and since I didn’t need to use them, I forgot the look inside but am willing to say they most likely are clean as stocked due to the appearance of the rest of the place.

wow this was so good, I didn't realize yummy food was down the street. bacon and eggs were $8.99....very friendly staff and not a long wait during the work week mornings
