Agape Farm and Retreat

Darling little B&B just outside of Paonia, set on a small farm. Home is very clean, bright, nicely decorated & maintained. Outdoor seating was plentiful, would be great for family reunions, a girls' weekend, or other groups as there are 4-5 rooms. We stayed in the Lovebird Room, it was beautiful, airy & comfortable. The owner/operator was very friendly & kind, no awkwardness. Breakfast was healthy & delicious. We'd definitely stay here again.

Sixteen of our extended family members stayed at Agape Farm & Retreat on the weekend before Christmas, and everyone had a wonderful stay. It is the perfect place to enjoy the bounty of Western Colorado, with attention paid to every detail. My sister-in-law said, “it was just what we needed after a busy, stressful week!”, and hostess Nancy went out of her way to make sure everything was just right for the special weekend we’d planned. The home, yurt, grounds, and views are immaculate; breakfast was delicious and healthy. Highly recommend! One of the nicest places our family has stayed.

Agape Farm and Retreat was honestly a God send for us. Similar to a lot of the reviews, it was such an amazing get away from the craziness of Denver, and was exactly what we needed. The whole place just makes you feel cozy, and the rooms were very comfortable. The farm is set in the most beautiful area with mountain views out every window. There are so many adorable things about the farm, and everything Nancy and her family have done there curates the most amazing experience. Not to mention the breakfasts are AMAZING! Cannot say enough good things about this place, I already want to go back!

The most important element of a wedding is the location. Where you say "I do" can literally set the stage for the rest of your marriage and lives together. When my wife and I were considering locations, we knew we wanted to get married in Paonia. By sheer luck, we were able to meet Nancy, Nick and the team at Agape Farms & Retreat.

They were not only welcoming to our wedding, but truly went above and beyond to help us create a day that was relaxed, loving and stress free. Our immediate families were able to stay on-site in the B&B lodgings and the farm created an absolutely beautiful backdrop for our ceremony and dinner. Additionally, they were able to accommodate local vendors for different parts of the day: food, flowers, tables & tent, etc.

This is truly a professional operation who cares deeply about the North Fork Valley and the people they invite onto their farm. If you're lucky enough to have your wedding, retreat or other event here, you're in for a really special experience.

We stayed at the Agape for a weekend getaway and were very impressed! Our room was clean, private, and updated. The bed was very comfortable. The common areas are very well maintained and stocked with books, DVDs, etc. for your perusal. There is always organic tea available for brewing as well. Each morning we had a two course breakfast that was outstanding! You can choose to socialize with others or be on your own - no judgement! After a full day of exploring the valley, we'd come back to some kind of treat and then brew some tea and sit with other guests on the terrace overlooking the vineyard. Hearty conversation and laughter! We all agreed the combination of the peace and quiet, and Agape's feeling of home really set us all at ease and gave us the opportunity to meet new acquaintances that will make our memories of Paonia that much more memorable. I stayed at Agape while attending a Solar School(SEI) for 5 weeks. The staff are so friendly and helpful. By the time I left I felt like family. I hope to bring my family to beautiful Panoina in the future, and we will stay at Agape Farm & Retreat. If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing place to stay with amazing view, look no further.

I stayed in The Yurt, which is furnished like a high class hotel room. The only reason I knew I was in a tent was by the sounds of nature all around me. When the weather got cold the wood stove provided plenty of warmth. And when the weather started to warm up the sun kept The Yurt toasty, but was never unbareable.

Agape was a magical place and exactly what we needed to take a break from busy Denver and feel grounded again. Nancy and her family, farm interns included, felt like family to us. Agape is beautiful and so comfortable and and the fresh home cooked meals were nourishing and so delicious. We loved the animals and were sad to leave but grateful we chose to stay. We can’t wait to go back!

This amazing Paonia bed and breakfast was recommended by some friends. We now know why. It has modern and comfortable accommodations, it is surrounded by beautiful gardens with growing beds, and the breakfast is unlike any breakfast we ever had anywhere! The hosts are very attentive and extremely helpful. If you are visiting the western slope, this is the place to stay!!

Highly recommended. Surpassed our expectations. The hosts are graceful and helpful, the breakfast is unmatched, the accommodations are modern and comfortable, and the farm has a vineyard, a forested area and beautiful gardens where they grow their own vegetables. Very glad we stayed at Agape.

A magical hidden gem! Great breakfast, views, lovely room and comfortable bed. Nancy, the crew, the dogs Coda and Charlie and the alpacas are great company. Can’t wait to go back!

Stayed in the Yurt. Everything was fabulous from the enchanting night breezes to the amazing views, one of the best is the screen door framed vista that you see the moment you open your eyes in the morning! Breakfast was delicious and fresh, the outdoor dining area is wonderful. The grounds were overflowing with flowers and fruit. Did not want to leave!

This is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of Paonia. The facility is beautiful with great attention to detail. The decor is tasteful and comfortable and the breakfasts are fantastic!
