Paonia River Park

Wowzers! It’s a spectacular trail. It’s a perfect place for your senses to relax. The smell of river and pine mixed together, the color is cold but just perfect to help you be present. The noise of the river flowing and leaves falling. It’s a perfect location to take a book and just enjoy the surroundings.

This park is an absolutely peaceful and tranquil walk. Very low impact. Beautiful sites and the sound and views of the river and mountains were wonderful and picture-esk.

Very peaceful place. A nice walking area, benches to sit and watch the river as well as a boat launch. Use caution near the water during flood seasons.

This is a really beautiful park. I love all the flowers that surround you after the bridge. There were many honeybees pollinating them. There was a nice area where the kids could dip their feet in the water without getting into the river. Many birds were here for all you bird watchers. It's a very clean park. We loved it!

Ran in to this place while passing though Paonia...didn't know it was here. This park on the river is peaceful and clean. You can access the river...get in the river, and enjoy the water. There is a lot of sculpture around the park. Nice, interesting, nature-based stuff (see photos). Several shelters to get out of the sun and use picnic tables. Structures a wood construction held to gether with wood pegs.

Perfect chill space for thr family and thr dogs. Relax in gental 65 degree waters in July. Float on a tube or on your back through gentle rapids. Bring river shoes as the the stones will hurt your feet. There are a few deeper pools here too.

Can't wait to go back!

A beautiful, accessible park right on the river. It would be great to bring a lawn chair to sit on the bank for a while. Beautiful scenery!

Beautifully done with metal sculptures and comfortable walkways. A lovely place to take your dog for a walk or take a quick dip in the River.

Beautiful park to walk or just relax next to the river. I learned CO has small water snakes & crayfish too! I saw a beautiful fox crossing the river. It has turned into 1 of my favorite places

Pretty little trail by the river with beautiful local metal work bridges and walkways. Short walk suitable for kids, dogs and families.

Short trail walk but a beautiful place to appreciate the North Fork River.

The trail along the water allows the walker to experience nature close to town. A new bridge was recent built over Minnesota Creek. A talented local metal sculptor has crafted railings and a doggie bag station, and there is a large timberframe shade structure. All worth a visit.

Wish I could give this park a ten star rating. Beautiful informational signage, accessible to everyone, very clean, neat metal art, and safe gravel trail. Look forward to stopping by again when we are in the area.

We had a lovely picnic in the pavilion. It is still a work in progress. The community is doing a great job in making the place awesome. Will definitely visit again.

This is a must little stop. It's so peaceful and cool. 😁 Great place for the kiddos to run around and have some fun in the water.

Fun walk with the dog we saw deer and explored the clean nature areas. Good place to recover from the road trip. :-)

This park is beautiful I am thankful i got to come here to visit. Thank you to the conservation people that work hard to keep this place nice and i thank you for the bench you put in the park for my stepdad Dave you will forever be missed and never forgotten.

This place is very well kept and there was plenty of room on the river banks to lounge around on and the dogs absolutely loved it.

Very good park. Wait tell its bit frozen to not be super cold. Very good dog walking as well
