Mountain Valley Meadows RV

Clean well maintained RV park, quiet peaceful sites with great space between. This is close to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison north rim drive which is under 30 minutes away . Hotchkiss is a great spot to get to many surrounding areas. Grand Mesa, wineries and orchards. The host is friendly and we will be back whenever we stay in this area. Dog friendly and my only recommendation is to add a small fenced dog run area. With the large grass areas you do have plenty of places to walk your dogs.

We stayed here in 11/22 and again in 11/2023 and will always make it our choice when in Hotchkiss area. Brian went above and beyond as far as customer service!!! (all while he was in the midst of a large scale plumbing repair) and was more than helpful and accommodating. The campground is adjacent to easy public access for BLM and gmu 52 and hunter friendly. The extra hot water in the showers was amazing after a long day in the cold! Btw the shower fee is only charged to non campers. It was our pleasure staying here and an absolute pleasure getting this kind of customer service that rarely exists anymore! Thank you!!!!

I stayed here for 6 months and loved every second! The park is just on the edge of town and 10 minutes from Big Bs orchard/venue, yet it's quite and peaceful. Every lot is spacious and there's wonderful veiws all around. The owners and staff are absolutely wonderful people, who go out of their way to help and be friendly. I highly recommend Mountain Valley Meadows.

Very nice place to stay. Reasonable price and very nice people that runs it. They have all hookup for all campers and RV and tents all facilities and laundry facilities on site.

Nice park with a great location near Paonia wine country. The park was full, but Alice was kind enough to accommodate us in an "overflow" space that had water and electric but no sewer hookup which was fine with us. I was very happy with our spot, which fronted to the grassy area of the park. I found it amazingly nice and peaceful. An easily fair trade for no sewer hookup in my book. To stretch out our tanks I had access to the showers which could use a bit of updating, but worked fine. If you have ever been camping in the wilderness....you are probably familiar with composting toilets. I used them to help stretch out our tanks so my wife wouldn't have to. We did a few loads of laundry, and got propane tanks filled by Alice's husband. Super kind man I would see out every day working on the grounds, mowing, watering, and basically caring for the property. We worked from our rig with a Verizon hot spot and had no issues with our connection. The City Market is just down the hill for any groceries one might need, including a locally owned drive up coffee place. Azura and Quitorie wineries are close by....and very nice, welcoming patios where one can enjoy some vino and take in the beautiful views of the valley. Our daughter lives in Paonia, only a few minutes drive away. We enjoyed our week and plan to return.

Management was very cool. Price was right. Tent camped on the grass, very cushy. The whole place was clean. Showers were a little rough but serviceable and appreciated after a hard sweaty day. The RV area is shaded by mature full trees. A perfect place to stay while enjoying what the valley has to offer. Vineyards, orchards, art, food. Lots to do in the valley. 30 minutes to south rim of the Black Canyon.

Pulled into Hotchkiss late one evening needing an RV site for the night. Super friendly and very reasonably priced. Didn't use the showers or laundry but a very nice bonus if that's something you were needing.

I lived at the park for over a year in my tiny house on wheels. It was a pleasure! There is plenty of room in the center grassy area, that my daughter and I would play regularly. The road behind the park is very calm, and great to take relaxing walks on. The laundry facilities are the cheapest in the area by far! I was even able to set up my hammock between a few sets of trees for some leisurely days reading in the shade. They can fill propane tanks on site, and their rate is very reasonable. There are quite a few long term residents, and my neighbors were very pleasant and we became acquainted quickly and enjoyed our regular chats. Most of my contact was with Angela, but her husband was able to help me out a few times as well. Their whole family is great! If I ever needed to come back to the area, I would not hesitate to stay at this park again.

Great place. We stop to fill our water tanks and dump our black tanks before heading to boondock. They have showers and restrooms here also. Owners are super nice. Place is beautifully maintained and would be a great place to stay. Tons of large trees for shade coverage, that are also well cared for so no damage to campers.

Beautiful camping spot on green grass with great views of the mountains. Awesome hosts!

I stayed here while on a hunting trip. The couple that manage the park are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Was awesome to have shower and laundry facilities on a hunting trip. Would definitely stay here again

Love this RV park. Clean, spacious, lots of beautiful trees, and it felt and looked safe.
Lots of birds, so do
watch your food tables, as they love to drop they're poop from the trees above.

Friendly, easy stop for tank dump, water fill and propane top off. Very helpful spot after 8 days in USFS campgrounds with no facilities. We're not camping here, just passing through but highly recommend it.

It was good for what it is. Nothing Fancy. It was perfect for an overnight stop, Clean, well kept, and well priced. Did not use the showers or bathrooms because it was raining when we got there.

Owners were very nice and helpful. The grounds were clean and quite neighborhood. The only thing I did not like we're the showers.

Exceptional for an RV stop. Great place, great people, great amenities, great price, VERY quiet. Pay no attention to the 'one star' complainer who tries to blame this business for their own shortcomings.

Birthday party for owner. It was clean and a great place for a gathering or to stay. Nice grass and shade. Well kept.
