If you are ever in Goochland off of Rockville road, be sure to stop by Wise Choice gas station! Their breakfast is amazing along with their lunch and dinner! There's not a time that you can't stop by here and grab something great to eat.

Convenience store with a deli serving home style cooked food served as to go breakfast, lunch and dinner meals. Food is good and it can get busy for breakfast and lunch. This place has a large following. Not unusual to walk in here and see a line of people waiting to order food. Line goes fast. There’s usually one person taking orders and three or four people working the line. It moves fast. And then two or three people working registers for paying. Parking lot is large paved with a few spots for cars next to the building. It’s a go to for truckers, and there may be a lot of trucks here too. I would recommend for breakfast and lunch if you’re just passing through the area and want something to eat on the go. It’s the closest eat place off of I 64 at the Rockville exit. Everything is served to go in styrofoam so you’ll have to figure out your dining area. It is a convenience store. If you just want candy or chips or soda, you can skip that line at the deli and go to the cash register. Exxon gas available.

So the hype was real the chicken is delicious and the service was on point! If you can get over the fact that you're buying food in a little bit of a run-down gas station you'll really enjoy coming here. I was told by a friend of mine about the fresh chicken and some great breakfast items I made the trip out to see him and it was he was right.

Stopped in while in Rockville today. We bought a 4 piece chicken tender meal with potato wedges and a dinner roll. Delicious!

This place is amazing. Best food all around. Smoked and fried chicken. Burgers. Fair style foot long corn dogs pulled pork BBQ breakfast. Best wedges. Been serving many years. Yeast rolls. Livers n gizzards Tues and Thursdays. Great prices. Best southern style sweet tea.

this place really does have finger licken good chicken! looks are deceiving, but it really is good! we watched person after person come out with these little white boxes and had to try for ourselves! all the workers there are friendly and helpful too.

These people know how to cook chicken! Be sure to go early or call in an order because they often shut down early. We called in an order on Mother’s Day and when we arrived, they were out and no chicken was saved for us, BUT they made it right. They fired back up and even included some extra pieces in our order. They even gave my grandson a brownie while we killed time waiting on the chicken to cook. You’d never expect chicken this good to come out of this small convenience store. Good chicken and good folks.

Great experience. No nonsense, no games, no hidden fees. Friendly and honest. My little girl loves the Kayo predator and I will be back for more. I rather drive 2.5hrs here than 30 mins to my local big dealer to work with these guys. Thanks Trent.

Went to a Birthday Party and they served smoked and fried chicken from Wise Choice. Hands down the best kept secret as far as I am concerned. How is it that I have lived here for ten years and am just learning about this fabulous chicken. Two weeks ago served it for my 24 year old son and 9 of his friends with hearty appetites. Huge hit and fan favorite.

Amazing food with a variety of lunch choices and speciality meals everyday, and if the lunch isnt your option they have shelves of chips, snacks, and fridges full of all types of beverages. Also the staff are very respectful and answer any questions their customers have. They have a restroom incase you gotta use it. Out of all the convenient stores and food joints I've been to this was by far the best with scenery and delicious food.
I would recommend the tender snack it is very tasteful and makes a great meal.

It has been three years ago that I had stopped and had dinner here with my family. I have been searching for it for a while. I finally found it on my maps and marked it as a favorite. When I get back to Va. I will be eating at this place again and again. Very good food and easy to get to from I-64. Very busy place at lunch so try to get there before the rush because everyone enjoys, down home southern cooking.

Wow! Awesome customers service, and as you can probably guess, great chicken! And good shrimp too! I don't normally say I'll return to a particular gas station, but I'll definitely return to this one. I'd definitely say it was a wise choice!

First time I ever ate here and I absolutely love it and I am 100% satisfied! I work with a lot of people that go here on their lunch and they always tell me to come here for their home cooked meals. I’m happy I did! its absolutely amazing!!!

Wise Choice is (and has been) the single best chicken place. The tenders are giant, juicy, and always delicious. I keep meaning to try everything else, but the chicken just ropes you in.

I'm going to share a travelers axiom with you. Whenever you find your self in unfamiliar territory around lunch time and need a visual confirmation of a great deal for lunch, look for the trucks!

Look for the trucks? Yes. Moving trucks, Semi's, lawncare companies - you name it! A working man or woman will look for ways to maximize their hard earned money. They won't go around dropping large sums of cash on lunch and they need the energy. The food also has to be tasty.

Just off of I-64 and near the northern beginnings of Route 288 you will find this gem. The patrons of this establishment vote with their wallets, taste buds and stomachs.

They serve solid food - lots of fried chicken, lots of smoked chicken, burgers and other sides. Potato wedges are incredible. Prices are close to insanity levels for what you get. A small size portion here would be a family sized portion at that place the "Colonel" or his cousin "Bo".

The speed of service is startlingly fast - you can get in and out in blazing speed. No dining facilities from what I have seen but there are a couple of picnic tables at one end of the parking lot. Go just before lunch and sit at the tables and watch the trucks fill the parking lot! It's amazing. I've never seen 18-wheelers take a turn into the lot as fast as I've seen some of these guys and gals do it.

I've stopped here coming back from Charlottesville many times! You won't be disappointed at all, I promise.

Awesome food! I couldn't believe how good it was for being a gas station. Reminded me of old fashioned country cooking. This will be my stopping point for food when traveling through

Great southern cook food

The chicken and potato wedges are the best but their menu had more than that. All is good. Burgers are awesome.
