Henrico Doctors' Hospital

This is by far the host hospital I've been to. Just have patience. They see so many patients and everything but they treat you better than smaller hospitals and better than clinch valley medical center did me in richlands Virginia. I would come here (5 hours away) every time if I could to be treated. Thank you all for your kindness and hard work. I love this hospital so far been here for almost 24 hours.

Wonderful experience with a recent outpatient surgery. From check in to registration, pre and post care was phenomenal. All nurses where attentive and I felt safe and cared for. The next day they called to see how I was feeling and see if I needed anything.

I have had two experiences with Henrico Hospital, one involving a highly traumatic birth where I faced preeclampsia and hemorrhaging during the delivery of my baby, and another accompanying my mother during a challenging medical emergency (following a negative experience at St. Mary's). Despite the challenging circumstances, I cannot speak highly enough of this hospital. The medical staff, quality of care, cleanliness, and even the food surpass what I have observed in other nearby hospitals.

I believe one of the best hospital, has all the services available and dedicated doctors, staff phlebotomist, housekeeping, emergency area step down cardiology everything is so accessible.

My. experience from start to finish was awesome. The scheduler was very helpful with telling me what I was to expect. The communication from the department regarding preregistering was very helpful. When I arrived for my appointment the registration staff was helpful and very cheerful considering it was 6:30 am. My technician Mia was very good and as I didn't require to walk me back to my waiting area I was glad she was there for the older patients.

My surgeon, the Nurses and staff were AMAZING! I spent the most time (awake) with the nurses and they took really good care of me during my surgery and made sure I was comfortable before and after. It couldn’t have gone any better. Welcoming & helpful staff, nurturing and knowledgeable nurses, and A+ surgeon. 10/10

I felt I was well attended to during my time there. I had surgery and felt very cared for by the nurses who did the prep work needed.I was very well informed of what was taking place at each step in preparation for the surgery. The staff had very good bed side manners a good sense of humor. The surgery was successful and the recovery nurses were also very attentive. I felt I was in good hands being taken care of by all the staff. From the Dr's. nurses, nurses aids and food staff.

I had my baby here and it was the best experience! My midwife and nurses were amazing! The facility is beautiful and clean and was comfortable. The only downside is that it was totally full because so many people want to deliver here so I had to wait a while for my induction! If only they had more delivery rooms!

Your staff made me feel like I was right at home. Everyone was kind, friendly, knowledgeable, and easy going. I was nervous about my operation, but they made me feel very safe and well cared for. Not only in a physical sense, but emotionally as well. My operation was a success. Now, thanks to your hospital staff I am almost fully recovered! Please give them a big THANK YOU from me. To the doctors, nurses, and all involved in my care. ❤

After years and months of planning my ideal out-of-hospital birth, I eventually had to be transferred during my stalled and complicated labor. Henrico Doctors' Hospital was the best place I could have landed. Barbara, the midwife who delivered my baby, worked tirelessly to help me have a vaginal birth and to ensure that my baby and I were safe throughout the process. She and Laura Grace, RN, are an amazing duo. I felt supported, listened to and genuinely cared for. I am deeply thankful and will never forget their compassion, presence and drive as they helped me bring my son into the world.

Amazing experience overall! The staff in Breast Radiology was quick, efficient and courteous. My visit went smooth and as expected. I couldn’t think of any recommendations for improvement besides an advice for patients to schedule their mammogram on line versus trying to call. It worked and took no time.

Our baby decided to make an earlier appearance than expected. I was sent to Labor and delivery from my routine check up appointment and was admitted. Even though labor didn’t progress like we wanted and I ended up having another c-section, I cannot compliment the staff enough from admission to discharge! Wonderful nurses every shift. I’m very grateful to have had such a wonderful experience!

The nursing staff is unreal. They really made my labor and delivery smooth sailing. Even when our baby’s heart rate was dropping our nurse Melissa was by our side the whole time to ensure everything was okay and to monitor our progress. I was in labor for 36 hours and was supported the entire time.

I can't say enough how much we thoroughly enjoyed working with Henrico Doctor's Hospital. We were fortunate to have an incredible birth and care afterwards through the midwives and nursing staff. Internally there are nominees for staff to receive awards for those who go above and beyond in their care. And, it would be impossible for us to choose one individual as every single person we met and worked with was just as exceptional as the last. This is a great facility and team!

The appointment went quickly and was fine. That was 10 days ago and still no results from mammogram are posted. I was told posting would be in approximately 4 days. This is stressful having survived cancer and also several biopsies that turned out fine. I really thought I would have results by now being I have another doctors appointment wanted to have report by that time.

UPDATE: contacted nice lady at the facility. She returned my call after she did some research and found for some unknown reason I was assigned another account as a new patient. OK! So she combine the two accounts so I'm up to date with my results. The best part I'm good and just need to return in a year unless something doesn't feel right. Mistakes can happen but I have found if you contact folks and be nice about it you get great results. Pleased patient. Upping review to 5 stars. . . .See you in a year!

The absolute best place to have a baby. I gave birth to both of my sons here (2014 and 2023) and both times the staff and doctors and nurses were exceptional. The L&D room is very large and spacious and the nurses are very attentive to your every needs. The mother baby unit is amazing as well and you can tell all of the nurses truly care about what they’re doing and about the patients and babies. I loved BOTH of my stays at Henrico Doctors and was honestly kind of sad when we had to leave! Definitely 10/10.

This was my second delivery here and the experience was just wonderful. I had the best midwife, Barbara and her nurse Joanne. They went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and cared for. They empowered me to believe i was able to delivery naturally and I did. I could tell that they truely cared about me and my baby. There was no medical feel to the experience. The room was large and comfortable. I can not say enough about Barbara and Joanne, I feel like they are family now! The nurses during our hospital stay were all wonderful, attentive and caring. Dashia, was our nurse on the recovery floor and went above and beyond. The kitchen ladies and food were great as well as the maintenance crew. It all felt like a vacation hotel stay plus a perfect new baby!

My hospital stay at Henrico Doctor’s Hospital was amazing! My nurses made me feel comfortable and at home. They were patient, kind hearted, very understanding and I told them numerous times how much I appreciated them for making me feel that way!!!

I have given birth at 3 different hospitals and my experience at Henrico Doctors was BY FAR the best! Everyone I encountered went above & beyond in their care & seemed genuinely happy to be there. I am truly impressed! Special shout-out to Madison, the night shift nurse on the mama baby floor. She was the best nurse I have ever had. She anticipated our needs and was always once step ahead. Highly appreciated!

I really enjoyed my stay at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital. I had a C-section on June 19th and was there until the 23rd. Everyone was extremely nice and pleasant to speak with. The entire staff of the hospital in general was amazing. I felt comfortable with all the nurses and doctors and I will 100% be going back for any further pregnancies. Highly recommend you to try their food as well! Haha.
