Richard Byrd Library

I am so happy I stopped by here today. This place is a gem. They are honest and with good spirit. I hope that you are continuously blessed 🤲🏼.

This Library is very organized, runs smoothly and the staff members are very friendly and enthusiastic about offering assistance whenever needed. It does not surprise me to see such high ratings from this branch. All of the librarians and employees go above and beyond to help. The branch manager, Valerie Suttee, is a rare treasure. She helped me so much and went out of her way to ensure I got the documents I so desperately needed. What a remarkable staff at this special library.

The Richard Byrd Library has, in my opinion, the best staff of any of the Fairfax County libraries. They are always so eager to help and knowledgeable. Plus, I'm not sure why but I always find so much great stuff browsing the shelves here vs. other locations. Maybe it's just suited to me?

My kids and I love this library. Great books and awesome staff. We usually put books online and pickup from this library and also just go and choose straight from library. Staff are helpful when we cannot find what we are looking for. Such a cute on a smaller scale library.

Have not been to the Richard Byrd Library for many years, it is completely different, it is very nice inside. When they remodeled it a few years ago they did a great job.

Went in after they reopened post-covid. They have altered hours. No more mandatory masks, place is clean, librarians are helpful

I went to this library for a field trip and everyone in my class thought it would be boring but we were wrong it was such a fun experience definitely recommend

Small branch but due to the holds never miss a book i save so much money

Nice place for paper book lovers. Plenty of free parking.
