I have been coming to Bishop's ever since I moved to Alaska in May of 2022. It is my favorite thrift store and located right in central palmer. I do wish they priced clothes a little cheaper, they are usually around $5 a piece which adds up quickly. Because of this, I don't usually buy clothes here, but I often buy craft supplies, pots for plants, kitchenware, furniture, books, and jewelry. The store is usually stocked with a lot of items, and the prices are much better than other thrift stores in the Palmer-Wasilla area.

Love love love this place. I go every time I’m in town and I usually get loads of books and lots of steals! Tidy, organized, well-priced, friendly staff. Highly recommend.

The first time I went here I had a really hard time with the smell. I realize it's used stuff but it seemed musty to me. So I'm not going to make any assumptions but my second go round was much better. That musty smell was not so noticeable. I went looking for plant pots (inside) & plates to go underneath. I found a LARGE crock style Corelle ware bowl, a quarter size & two ramekins that all matched. Another large bowl (beautiful!)
All the bowls for $10... Go price that large Corelle bowl and my whole purchase was paid for twice over!
I got some really decent picture frames $.25, $.50 each. I have some black swirls designed sconces and I found a six place picture hangar of exactly same design as the sconces $4. I brought it home, took the glass & backings out, washed, scuffed and clear coated it.
You'd think I'd have bought the pieces all at the same time from that company they used to have where you have a party at home with all the interior design stuff that goes on your walls and everywhere else you could buy for.
For a fraction of the cost, HOWEVER, please realize you have to clean and maybe do a little painting or touch up-repair work on items you're getting for pennies on the dollar. Don't buy & horde like many who see things they're attracted to, take it home with plans to fix it up & sell it? Then it gets home in a bag or box, set in a corner, craft room, or wherever it will fit and then becomes that old adage, "Some peoples trash is another's treasure" but then it never gets cleaned and to the person whose stuck cleaning up after your gone says "Where the HE DOUBLE HOCKY STICKS DID THIS TRASH & JUNK COME FROM?
Clean it, use it, make it yours and then you have the right to tell people "Yeah, I got this at Bishop's Attic & did a little cleaning & tinkering."

It has been there for a long time, because they are consistent. They get a lot of donations because of their local reputation, so the selection is good for a thrift store of its size. I have never had reason to complain about anything there so far, and I have been going there for decades.

Such decent prices! I feel like so many thrift stores these days price things so high for second hand. I was so thrilled to find a super cute pair of boots for only seven dollars!

I absolutely love this thrift store there is a little bit of everything for everyone at very cheap prices they're very diligent about going through the clothing and the furniture and stuff to make sure that it's what you're paying for there is a refund policy that you can bring into Electronics if they don't work for in-store credit

Great 2nd hand items and very reasonable prices. Finally a thrift store that doesn't price their items like they purchased any of it in the first place and are trying to meet a profit margin. Kind people who are genuinely helping our community. Keep up the good work
