Himalayas Indian Restaurant

I absolutely love everything about Himalayas. The staff treat their guest like family. The food is some of the best I've ever had in Atlanta! The environment is cozy & welcoming. Great beer & wine selections too.

Very friendly folks . We sat outside and were served very quickly. The tandoori fish and chicken 65 was awesome so was their freshly baked naan. It was also a treat to see trains and engines if you are a train lover like me. I snapped a video of it too.

Went with a group of friends and this was a very nice restaurant! I got the malai kofta which was maybe the best I’ve ever had! My friends got the chicken korma, chicken tikki masala, and chicken madras and everyone loved their food too! It was very nice to be able to customize the level of spice per dish, since I unfortunately cannot handle spice very well. We all shared the naan and it was INCREDIBLE- the most moist, buttery, and soft naan I’ve ever had! The service was great, they came and filled our waters every time we were even half done with the drink (which was nice for the spicier food). And the waiters were so nice and happy! I would go everyday to eat there if I could!

Himalayas is delicious. Also, the owner is so sweet and funny and makes you feel so at home. Everyone who works there is so kind!

We had a party of 5 at 7:30 on a Sunday night. It took a while for the food to come out, but the appetizers helped! They have a great patio for outdoor seating with cafe lighting! In the winter, they have heat lamps. There is street parking and also a lot off of Pierce Drive.

Here's what we got:
- Veggie Samosas ($6 for 2): Very good! The samosas were a good size too!
- Chana Puri ($10): Good!
- Panir Masala ($14): Delicious! After the samosas and the chana puri, we had some leftover!
- Naan ($3, 2 orders): Sooo good, especially dipped in the masala sauce!

They are very willing to customize dishes - one person got half tofu and half panir masala. Good prices, good food, good portions. Highly recommend!

Food was great along with great customer service. Great location in Chamblee area. A-lot of food given for the main dishes which is great for leftovers. My husband & I shared one of the main chicken dishes for lunch & we still left with a-lot of leftovers.

This is the best restaurant in Atlanta! The vegetable curry is out of this world. They have our favorite chicken vindaloo. My husband always gets the chicken tikka masala. You have to try the lamb samosas. Naan bread is magical.

Great service, very large portions especially for a lunch entree and very appeasing to the pallet. The curry entree with the hot spiced tea was a perfect match. In a very quaint shopping area.

This place has really good food. It’s my favorite Indian restaurant. The reviews on this place are a bit harsh because of the service. The kids that work here keep the waters filled but my alcoholic beverage (the one I care about) was empty for a while. I still think it’s a family restaurant that deserves 5 stars and a higher rating.

This is our first time dining here @ Himalayas and we liked everything that we ordered. Good portion size and the food came on time. I loved their chicken 65, reminded me of how it used to taste back home. I’m taking some goat curry to go as well 😄.

Food was great and is served family style. I must say that I'm pretty sure my blood capsaicin levels have spiked.. they use a spice level out of 20. I ordered an 18 and my face melted. You've been warned! Delicious nonetheless and the lassi is also fantastic

I love this place! I order through Uber frequently. My only 2 wishes one is that the spice level was more consistent. I usually order my dinner hot and twice it was less than mild and twice the heat was provided by way of Thai peppers, it usually it’s hottttt and amazing! The second is regarding the naan -it awesome so it’s not really a complaint- I wish it came buttered already.

The desserts are always amazing I just wish I didn’t have a mild allergy to coconut because while the peshwari naan is AMAZING (thing pb&j but oh so much better!) I would love to be able to get it without coconut flakes. I’ve had all of their other desserts and they are fabulous my kids love their Gulab jamón and the kheer!

It’s frustrating when you order through Uber and it’s harder to communicate issues and mistakes with the restaurant but I don’t want to leave a bad rating for a place I love! So again, I love this restaurant and order from here often.

One day I’ll go in person!

When food was delivered it was still hot and fresh. Definitely a Great first experience ordering here.

Excellent food and drink. The lamb, bread and rice is delicious. Wife had the chicken and was equally as delicious. We had a pair of drinks, fantastic! Highly Recommended!!

Himalaya is the best Indian food in Atlanta. The owner and the whole team are very nice. The seating outside is great as well.

I cannot believe it took us so long to try this Chamblee staple! Great food in a friendly family environment. My favorites were the samosas and the paneer tikka masala! Must try!

The service and food were great. We had our waiter, the owner/manager, and the chef all come out to check in on us throughout our meal. Definitely recommend this place!
