Maomi Bookstore

Really lovely place! They have brush calligraphy, stationary, chinese books, a kid’s section, and a lot of cute charms/knick knacks. The owner provides testers for many of the pens/pencils so if you like cute ornaments, books, and stationery, I definitely recommend taking a look :)

Nice store with mostly traditional Chinese books and materials. They also have a small coffee shop but I don't think it was open.

They have a small table set up where you can play around with Chinese calligraphy.

Small book store that has a small selection of Japanese stationery. There are Midori notebooks, Midori planners, Midori fountain pen, Campus binders, TAG fountain pen ink, various pens. A lot of the stuff is at a very good price and cheaper than the online retailers. The owner is really nice and helpful. She also carefully placed all my items in a nice gift bag. It’s only a shame that I don’t know how to read Chinese so I couldn’t buy any books.

An absolutely adorable bookstore! I'm so glad I got a chance to visit. The owner is incredibly welcoming and kind, and the selection of products is actually excellent.

We greatly enjoy the calligraphy table, the water brush mats and starter brushes showed me a new way of engaging my child in writing characters. We waste so much practice paper that he will never look at again, a great find! Great selection of books, stationary and Taiwanese gifts.

Great experience. Its a small shop but the owner is so nice and helpful. We had a great time and will definitely be going back. There’s a nice stationery section and a few harder to find herbs and grocery items. Definitely worth a visit.

I loved it! It is my happy place in Atlanta! They have lots of lovely Japanese stationary like campus and Midori notebooks, pens, stickers and cute cat plushies. The oolong tea is soft and delicious. The music is nice and the whole atmosphere invites you to have a sit, enjoy a cup of tea and write. The owner is amazing. She was super kind and helpful and recommended me a Campus like notebook that has very nice feeling paper. Unfortunately, I can’t read Chinese, but they have a very interesting collection of books. I really would love to be able to visit Maomi Bookstore frequently!!!!

They have some starter fountain pens & other Japanese stationary from Midori. Also, lots of other cute stationary with lots of notepads for you to try them! Please come support this great shop :) and after, you can get some yummy vegan Asian pastries from Family Baking next door

Nice selection of Chinese language books and some neat stationary. The owner is so nice and has an area set up to try out calligraphy. They hold free Chinese writing and calligraphy classes when the teacher is available too!

Love love love this cute place. There are calligraphy classes, traditional tea ceremony classes, beautiful mandarin children and adult books, etc.

The owner was just so kind. I was in town for 2 days and she's maybe the only person I had a conversation with; I genuinely enjoyed speaking with her! The supplies may be low (due to distribution delays) but the items they do have are quality. The staff truly have their heart and love in this business, I hope you have a chance to try it.

You can find so much here that you can't find elsewhere. It's really fun to browse. If you are learning Mandarin then there is so much to explore from a language perspective: books, magazines, handwriting guides, foods, calendars, etc. You can also order coffee and tea here. This place is a gem.

When you're done shopping here then head over to the small Chinese garden with your drink. You can also get a lot of good food at the food court. There is a bakery down the sidewalk from the store that's a mom and pop place with really good baked goods, including a vegan selection. There are also a few other fun shops to explore. Plus there is a bulletin board where you can see upcoming community festival celebrations.

How have I never been here? I frequent the food court and Family Baking in the same complex all the time but would always shy away thinking that this bookstore only sold Chinese books. This store has books but also so many other things! They have beautiful stationary, a small (but pristine!) selection of snacks and groceries, books, small wares and more. My intention was just to stop in for a few minutes while waiting for a food order from the food court but ended up spending almost an hour chatting with the lovely store owner and flipping through all the cute stationary! Really well-curated store that you can tell the owner is excited and proud of.

Very nice place to browse for gifts. The organic Taiwanese tea selection was fun to see. The shop owner was very welcoming and had a nice chat with me too.

A wonderful and much needed Chinese stationery, art supplies, and book store in a easy to access shopping plaza. If you love stationery with Chinese and Japanese flavor then this is a must! Nothing like this store for hundreds of miles. The staff and owners are very nice and provide a level of customer service you just do not find much anymore.

This bookstore is one of the few places around Atlanta that sell aesthetic stationery and asian books. It’s super cute and I definitely recommend the there to check it out!

I went in to get some basic supplies to begin practicing Chinese calligraphy today. They have a beautiful calligraphy and art section. The ladies were incredibly helpful and extremely sweet. They went over everything that I might need (in English since I do not speak a Chinese language) and set me up to try some brushes. It is a very welcoming space and charming store. The prices also seemed absolutely competitive with what I saw online. Looking forward to going back when I need to upgrade or get more supplies. Maomi is in the Chinatown Mall so you can head to the food court and get some delicious eats after you shop.

Every time I come here, the tea is always so flavorful and fragrant. In addition, the workers are so kind and helpful and do a great job at maintaining social distance and enforcing people wearing face masks. They have a great selection of stationary, snacks, teapots, and chinese books.
