Fins & Tales

On a dark and rainy night, we passed through Southbridge, Massachusetts and took refuge at the Fin and Tales. It was almost deserted, although a grand celebration was going on in the back. Service was really great, the atmosphere lovely rustic, and the menu nothing short of mouthwatering. Good beer and wine selection, too.
Following bread with butter and an olive tapenade, my son had his usual cheeseburger (Angus), wife had a nice salad with shrimp, and I savoured a poached haddock stuffed with crab. Everything was beautifully presented, well seasoned and very tasty. Well worth the excursion to Southbridge!

This was our first time at Fins & Tales. Decided to try it after reading some reviews. Glad we did! It is located in an older building with some beautiful wood work which adds to the ambiance. Started with the risotto cake, which my wife said it was the best she ever had. Our entrees were in-house made gnocchi and meatballs and parmigiana crusted haddock. Both were extremely good and the portions were spot on. Finished the dinner by sharing a brownie sundae that was to die for!
One big highlight was the service and staff. Super friendly, informative and attentive! The prices were also very reasonable. We will be returning.

We were a band of 6 people playing a show in town and needed a pre performance dinner. This place was so accommodating and the food really hit the spot. Delicious fish n’ chips, tasty salmon and the best fried oysters. Our service went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of. Great beer selection too. A hidden gem! Would go there again if we ever found ourselves in town.

In my humble opinion this restaurant is a hidden gem. I have never had a bad meal there and the service is always impeccable. I like the atmosphere, there's something about exposed brick that just makes a meal taste better. I always gravitate towards seafood and I've never once been disappointed. The restaurant belongs to a hard-working family that I've had the chance to get to chat with. They are very appreciative of their patrons. If you're looking for a great restaurant that serves All American food and won't break the bank this is the place to go. I have been there no less than 15 times and can't wait to go back.

The staff had a few large parties and were extremely busy but did an amazing job at prioritizing and giving us exceptional service, our bartender/server was Tara and she gave us flawless service with a big smile. The food was delicious, we got the crab cakes, arancini, fish and chips, fra Diablo and short ribs, the short ribs were my favorite. For dessert-the crème brûlée is a must have!

Does it get any better? This has become a regular for us once a week. The service is outstanding! (Ask for Tara) but all servers are really good! After six visits, we have always had a great meal. The menu hasn’t changed in that time which is why I believe they have mastered each dish. They do have weekly specials, so no chance of getting bored. Our favorites are the salmon, pecan crusted haddock and seafood fra diavolo. The calamari is cooked perfectly! No rubber bands here! The bread basket is served with an olive tampenade which is incredible. This is one place where I can say that I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Great meal!!! Seared scallops with bacon and apples with honey bourbon glaze to start! Salmon with honey sriracha glaze and Haddock with ginger soy glaze. Wish we were going to be close longer. Thank you!

Atmosphere is a bit dated but who cares! The food was amazing!!! Our waitress was wonderful and knowledgeable of the menu. We will be back again!

Wonderful restaurant! Menu has something for everyone and reasonably priced. Excellent service and food! Save room for the bourbon bread pudding!

Amazing!! Food was spectacular, service was beyond excellent! We travel a lot and this has been one of the best seafood we have had in a very long time!!!

We always have the most incredible meals here! The staff is always so accommodating, and the decor is beautiful. The scallops special was to die for, and Seamus is the BEST.

So I've lived in literal walking distance of this place for five years, and I drive by it everyday, always telling myself I really should stop in. Well today was the day.

They are incredible.

I had the pork shank over potatoes, I wanted to play it reasonably safe so I didn't do seafood on the first outing, but I absolutely will on the second. But anyway, the pork was absolutely amazing, so fall off the bone tender that the steak knife that accompanied it was merely a suggestion you absolutely did not have to take, lol.

The complimentary bread was served with a tapenade, and I could've eaten it with a spoon. My server was incredible too, and we shared a couple of laughs as she went about her gig. Super personable.

And the Manhattan she mixed me, absolutely my go to cocktail, and it was one of the best I'd ever had. I will not be waiting another five years for the return visit!

Fab bartender who was very friendly - allowed me to work through most of the cocktails.

OMG, my husband and I haven't gone here in a long time and wow! The food was so yummy and the service was superb! We will be back a lot sooner now! Tara is the best waitress there too!

wild mushroom ravioli was the special that night and was excellent. The fried pickles and dip hit the spot as well.

The food was absolutely delicious! The waitress was beyond helpful as she explained the dishes and went back to check with the chef. They were able to customize the different dishes because everything is made in house from scratch. I wish we lived near by I'd love to come back next week!

The "go to" place in Southbridge. Excellent food at a great value. Casual upscale atmosphere.

So delicious!! A hidden gem in Southbridge. Fresh seafood. The honey Sriracha salmon was excellent as was my shrimp linguine. I would have taken a b4 pic but was really hungry 😁 Decent prices and great staff.

Brenda was amazing. The food was so delicious. Could eat here every night. We had members with diabetes in our party and the kitchen was able to accommodate a change to our dish no problem. Will certainly return.

Cute place with good food! We got the Salmon and the Shrimp and Lobster pizza and both were very good! The service was friendly and the food came out pretty quickly
