Charlton Service Plaza Eastbound

Very nice and friendly. Not your normal rest area. Has restaurants to dine in and are welcome to stay overnight. A comfortable place to take a break from a long drive.

I stopped here around 8am on a weekday thinking it was just a gas station, but it's more of a truck stop with food amenities, vending machines (including a vintage 80s Kick 'N Catch), outdoor seating, massage chairs, etc. The clerk at the gas station was helpful, the employees at the food court were friendly, and the patrons were polite. Many different kinds of people from all different states were visiting here. Mostly families and blue collar workers.

I paid about $12 for a small McDonald's sausage egg and cheese McMuffin meal which was delicious. The men's restroom was acceptable. There's TONS of seating inside to relax a bit from the road. There'a even a huge CVS vending machine with medicine, toiletries, etc. They also had an Auntie Ann's pretzel shop that was open.

The other restaurants inside, as well as what appeared to be a sunglasses kiosk, were closed.

All in all, a surprisingly positive experience while passing through.

This has to be one of the busiest rest stops on the Massachusetts turnpike. Lots of options for food decently clean bathrooms.

It is a relatively clean rest stop, but to be fair the bar is on the floor and this place is just barely stepping over it. It had a decent selection of food shops; McDonald’s, Auntie Anne’s, Fresh City, and Papa Gino’s. This is a pretty wide variety of fast food stops, so most people will be at least content with the food here. There is also a regular gas station shop with all the assorted drinks and chips and stuff. There are also a LOT of gas pumps so you theoretically shouldn’t have a hard time finding a spot to fill up. Pretty good place to come to. There was also one of the most Boston people I have ever encountered here, so that was fun.

I drive to Boston a lot and therefore for one reason and another and at this service plaza. It has convenient access. I don’t have to get off the highway. They have McDonald’s so I can get food. Washrooms are always clean. There’s always plenty of parking.

People are always courteous and nice.

Although I don’t have a electric car, but I see they have electric charging stations as well which I am sure some people will like

V3 chargers, bathrooms are a short walk from the chargers,mc Donald's and papa Gino's still open after 9pm. Half of the charges were free.

Clean restroom I had a good spot to rest my eyes very cold alot of snow get there before 5pm if u have a 18 wheeler

This is a great place to stretch your legs after driving the Mass Pike. Great food, clean restrooms. Clean dining areas.
This is our "Go to spot" for coffee! Stop there on your next journey.

Clean restrooms and clean place overall they have a McDonalds, Papa Gino's and a few more food places.

My 1st stop always when I'm traveling to Hartford or beyond. Nice place, good food and clean restrooms

Papa Gino's, D'angelo's, Fresh City (great healthy food options & smoothies), Auntie Anne's Pretzels, McDonald's, McCafe, a huge CVS vending machine, clean restrooms, a convenience store, vendors, overall a good place to stop.

Had the perfect stop, gas, Tylenol breakfast and a place for paperwork!

Great toilets. So much noise in the bathrooms, you can drop some serious heat and no one will hear it or know what stall it’s coming from. Would recommend pooping here 👍

Good stop to stretch legs & grab a bite to eat. Also, has a small park to walk dogs & socialize with other dog owners. Restrooms are big & clean. Wide variety of restaurants to choose from as well as fill up gas tank on your journey.

Easy to access, love the late hours. We went hear to grab gas, bathroom break, food and drinks.

It is nice not to have to get off the highway to find all this in a town we don't know at all.

Staff at store and BK were great.

It was not at all busy and we got in and out quickly.

We will definitely stop again when we travel in this area next.
