Great park for a nice stroll. I went here for a photo shoot and it came out great. Lots of scenery and the lake was beautiful. I would come again if I was in the area.
Here is something to note for anyone coming in the off season. There is a semi good size parking lot so you shouldn't have issues with parking.
Nobody at the gate but there is a gate check for campers and possibly a fee during the summer.
The road is a nice loop but it has some large hills. Its hard to get lost because its not a huge park.
Overall the park is very friendly and I think its nice for a little getaway for a day. Summer will probably be better than late fall.

We brought our kids here to fish, hike and swim… was wonderful! Our first camping trip since having kids! Only stayed a couple nights but worth it. We stayed at site 17 which is a great view but there quite a dingle to go down to get to the water from the site. Wish there was a rope or steps to get back up but we made due. Plenty of room for two tents and two vehicles though. Not far from a water spigot and the bathrooms/showers. Red squirrels and crows were quite noisy in the early morning but that’s to be expected!! Trails well maintained. Overall we had a good time!

Amazing location for hiking, there's easy to more difficult paths for the whole family to enjoy. The overlook is also a very cool spot to check out if you can make it up the terrain. The large ponds near the entrance of the park holds a large variety of wildlife from hawks to turtles. Hoping to come back soon with the family when the weather gets warmer. I've been in the snow and the experience was still very good, everything is plowed to make walking easy.

My second time going. Just as good as the first. Great place to camp with friends, large groups, kids, or to be alone. They have something for everyone. Great getaway with Yurts too!

Hidden gem! Very nice state park. Sites all have grills and fire rings. Very spacious sites. Well maintained and very friendly and helpful staff. Nice beach and lake to swim and fish in. Bathroom are very clean and maintained several times during the day. Will not disappoint.

Absolutely stunning area, with a great deal to do around the area. The marshes were pretty and it had weekday activities for all ages.

Had staff take photos of me and friends fursuiting, and the overall vibe was super cool!

Wells State Park is an beautiful and well kept park. The tree and stonewall lined main roads for cars give way to expansive hiking trails. Walker pond is great for kayaking and canoeing but at peak times motor boats enjoy screaming up and down the long pond. The wakes are manageable though I don't think there is a speed limit on the pond.

Wells also offers camping and yurting! Yurts are about $70 a night, are clean and well kept, and have electricity (lights and outlets). Campsites are well spaces out (though not private) and have a fire pit and stand along charcoal grill.

Very nice place to go hiking, I have been here many times. The only downside is that since it's so close to Route 20, Route 49, I-84, and I-90, you often hear traffic. Nothing beats the scenery, though.

Early spring is a great time to experience this park. Come for the peepers and other signs of spring. Bring a small trash bag and help clean up after the ignorant people who litter.

Beautiful, serene, clean. Lovely place to visit and easily accessible.

We have been camping here for years. Just tried a yurt this last time, and boy it was fun. Loved the electricity, the bunk beds were comfy. And plenty of space. It rained the first day, so the inside table was great! Also, great night fishing, but a little buggy. My family will definitely be coming back, for a yurt or a campsite.

Great spot for a hike and to let the dog swim. Technically have to be leashed but there were plenty of chances to swim. Decent amount of parking as well.

Beautiful campground with a nice amount of space for your site. You are not right on top of your neighbor and the spacing and foliage make the sites feel semiprivate

We had a great time camping here! I feel like we even had one of the best sites for our tent too (number 24) close to bathrooms, water tap was right by our site, swimming spot at the pond was just a few minutes walk away, and because of Covid - we had no neighbors!

A really lovely stay. Even saw a couple deer passing by as we were packing our tent away to head back home.

For sure a good spot especially for families.
