Loved our experience here! This was our first time. Our friends come often and knew what to order. The Foam Alone cocktail is delicious and unique and absolutely worth it. The food was amazing and service was absolutely incredible. My Korean heart sang with lots of these dishes, especially the kimchi rice. My husband has the kimtini, which was good too. Love the atmosphere. It's a TINY space, and the utilize it well. We will be back 👍

Super cool vibe and ambiance. I hate saying it like this, but very hip. The food was great, not mind blowing, but great. I have a feeling that if I could have had more of the menu that I would have liked it even more, I would love to go back. Perfect date spot.

Here is what we had:

- panisse: the aioli was great but I couldn't help but feel like I'd rather have a French fry. I would skip next time.

- chicken wings: incredible, probably my favorite plate I've had in 2024. Must get.

- kimchi rice: yummy. Almost like a paella. Would get again.

- curry dip: probably the surprise dish of the night. Incredibly flavorful curry and unique way to eat curry. Would get again.

- miso pork skewer: pretty good, nothing amazing.

- pork belly skewer: it's more like a bacon wrapped mushroom. I really liked this.

This place is truly a hidden gem! We ordered a mix of Anju and Yakitori, and we were not disappointed. The portion sizes were generous for an Izakaya. The menu was full of creative and flavorful options, but our favorites had to be the beef belly, soft shell crab, chicken skin, and wagyu beef yakitori. The atmosphere was fantastic, with vibrant artwork adorning the curtains that made the space lively.

Really cool spot and great vibes. The place isn't huge but they make the most of the inside, definitely more of a chill or intimate spot than just a regular bar. Menu was fun and the drinks were creative!

Stopped by for an impromptu dinner and couldn’t have been more pleased. We shared every skewer, octopus potato salad, kimchi rice, and buckwheat dumplings. The standouts were the potato salad and chicken oyster skewer. Service was fantastic, patio was great, drinks were divine!

Bar Nohm is a hidden gem. My friends and I tried this place for the first time last week - one of them is visiting from DC and the other from NYC, and are real foodies - and we all loved this place. First, the ambience is excellent. warm, cozy, and comfortable, with a little hidden area by the kitchens that blocks out all the sound from the busy bar area. The colors and textures of the decor are upscale with playful details. Second, the cocktails are super fun and inventive. Third, the food is phenomenal with lots of interesting flavors and textures that provide a fun experience for anyone from the most adventurous eater to the most cautious. I highly recommend!

Wow, this was such a unique and incredible meal! First of all, the reviews posted a year ago are not valid. They have totally redone their menu. The silver lining is that the new menu is amazing! I went with my wife and we got the “Crispy Chicken” and “Kimchi Rice” for Anju. The crispy chicken had toasty crust with a sweet chili sauce to die for. The chili sauce is the highlight of the meal for us. Perfect balance between sweet and spicy. AND I’m usually not a spicy person. We got the “Chilled Fried Fish” as a tip from the waiter. Let me say the plate was beautiful! The taste matched the aesthetics with a yummy sweet and sour sauce. We also got the “wagyu”, “Pork Wrapped Enoki” and “Chicken heart” skewers, but they were overshadowed by the dishes. I will say they had a huge alcohol menu that we did not try but heard it’s great. It was a pricy meal, but if you’re looking for something unique and different, this is your place!

My first experience at Nohm was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in SLC. Cliff and Arnold wowed me with their knowledge on the cocktails offered and Chef Dave’s cuisine was absolutely stellar. His passion for food and love of his culture was evident in presentation and flavor. Since then, I’ve been back a couple of times and I always leave happy. I’ve seen Chef Dave working as a host, food runner, busser, barback and leader of the kitchen throughout my visits. He loves what he does and it is beautiful to witness someone so kind hearted and creative live out their dream. SLC is lucky to have Nohm nestled in this city.

Really great food and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend the oysters.
We came around 8:45 pm on a Friday night and got a table for 2 within 15 minutes.

I knew Bar Nohm was gonna be good because of Water Witch and Acme but they still exceeded expectations. Everything we had was great. Service was really good, which is so important. Will for sure be back and recommend to everyone. Great job!

Amazing. Loved the chicken and chicken thigh skewers! Peppers and green beans were fire, the potato salad was lacking for me. Cocktails and beer were good. Fred was amazing. Will be back!

Was an overall awesome experience. We started out at the bar with a couple of wonderful cocktails before taking our table. Being a big fan of open kitchens, we loved our cozy booth in the back where we could watch the artists at work! We were as impressed with every dish as we were with the speed in which they came out. I think we tried everything except for the fried rice and the three of us left full and happy. The potatoe salad is a must try!

Cool cozy place that is perfect for a close friends gathering on a Saturday night! Nice service, great food, "non-othodox" cocktails 😉. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I ordered the chicken katsu and it tasted amazing. I didn't really like the cabbage on the side haha but the meat was very soft and delicious. Their bossam and the pepper chicken is good too. If you are not good with spicy stuff, maybe the pepper chicken isn't for you. The quality of the food is great, but if you are thinking of big portions, this may not be the place you are looking for. Would definitely visit again!

In spite of the fact that they were understaffed and it took a while to get served, plus they ran out of rice, but later brought some, the food was terrific. We tried several dishes, but I focused on the chicken katsu and that seemed to be the favorite of the table. Wonderful ambiance, but due to the acoustics inside they really need to keep the music level down.

I don’t usually eat raw fish in Utah (spoiled from eating from brilliant chefs in LA) but after reading the menu I decided to take a chance on nohm. I’m glad I did. Fresh wasabi root, house pickled ginger, correctly seasoned sushi rice, binchotan charcoal, they cure their own mackerel…. I could keep going… point is, this restaurant deserves far more business for the level of quality they provide. Chef David is exceptionally talented and passionate. Eat here if you want a truly standout experience. Pictures are in order. Shime saba, kushiyaki sampler (chicken tender, thigh with green onion, wing, skin, and enoki mushroom wrapped in pork belly) plus the wagyu yaki, ankimo, and the miniburi. Everything ate so well from taste, texture, temperature, and presentation. I plan on eating through the whole menu as quickly as I can.

Truly beautiful dining and something completely unexpected in salt lake. The entire block of businesses in the central 9th district is so impressive. But Nohm is really a stand out for fine and elegant dining. I’ve had the pleasure of visiting twice, and I loved every bite both times. Well plated, thoughtful, delicious food. Highly recommend the hand rolls, shrimp udon, and any skewer. I will say that on this most recent visit we felt awfully rushed. We had the table for 2 hours (totally fine and perfect amount of time to eat) and I ordered 6 dishes to share. They all came out very quickly so we were done in about 30 minutes. It felt slightly rushed, however to be fair we were dining pretty early so the kitchen may have just been on a roll. Regardless it was all delicious. One of my favorite restaurants in the valley without question.

This is a great place to either enjoy an intimate date or to commune with his friends. The dishes are made for sharing and the menu offers a diverse range, even if not extensive. Everything we ordered was meticulously prepared and crafted beautifully. Highlights were the Otsukuri Mori (assorted slices of raw fish), pepper fried chicken, and kushiyaki (grilled skewers). The kushiyaki had the perfect amount of char and searing, and was juicy and bursting with flavor. We also enjoyed chilled sake. I preferred the Junmai Ginjo while the Nigori was drier but also delicious.
