Old House Vineyards

So we have been there twice now one event outdoors, which was Mother’s Day and another event indoors, which was Memorial Day. Both events were quite pleasurable the owners, the family, and the staff definitely raise the bar With their hospitality and excellent service. All of the beverages and foods that we have each time we have been up I’ve been top-notch. Definitely I would recommend trying this place out great family atmosphere kids and pets as well. Winery brewery and distillery something for everyone along with beautiful views!

Amazing place. Where else can one get first rate distilled spirits, a wide selection of beers and wines, an authentic Irish bar, and a WWII museum, all amid 165 acres of ponds, vast mountain views, picnic tables and chairs, and a warren of cozy rooms in a number of beautifully preserved antique buildings carefully reconstructed by Pat, the owner, a skilled artisan?

Came out for my dad's birthday because we couldn't pick between a brewery or winery - and here you don't have to pick (you also get a distillery as an added bonus)!

Really cool location and the grounds are beautiful. An interesting collection of military memorabilia scattered around and the distillery doubles as a mini museum. Plus the staff in the distillery section were a whole other level of kind. Ordered a flight and they ended up letting me sample a few extras on top of that so I could "get the full experience" and they gave me a little shot glass as a memento as well! Service like that brings people back.

The wine, according to my parents was really good and the beer I had was really solid as well. They had a restaurant set up in there too with a very interesting menu.

Overall an amazing experience for the whole family and birthday well celebrated at Old House!

Hosted a going away party for a colleague here a few weeks ago. I can’t say enough about this place. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. We ended up staying a bit over our designated time and were pleasantly surprised by their hospitality. Wine was great, beer was great, definitely a must visit if you are in the area.

They host weddings and events, so if you come to eat lunch or dinner one of those days, you won’t be able to eat in the Old House. But they open their pub and porch which are cozy and friendly. Food, wine, beer are all excellent quality.

COOL COOL PLACE. Strong vibes of Ireland! Lucky enough to have been to Ireland twice this was the real deal. Great tasting room. Onsite whites and reds were good. Craft beer I had was the Hazy IPA which was excellent. Claudia greeted us warmly and had lots of information to share about the vineyard and how it came to be at its present state. Come for the wine and beer, stay..... for a long time for the ambiance and views. Outdoor patio, beer room, wine tasting room with dart board, beautiful fireplace, the list goes on.

To celebrate our birthday my bff took us to Old House...we really enjoyed ourselves.

Autumn was so nice to us. Not only did she pour for us, she also made me a dog tag that I treasure. The Black X coffee, Dude spirit and Diceros barrel aged rum are all smooth and delicious😋
The A-Team work extremely well together. I can't wait to come back for a visit.

Great place to visit - its a vineyard, brewery, and a distillery with an Irish pub and a tasting room with some really cool WW2 artifacts. The spirits are unique and very good (try the Bumbo....), the beer was good with a nice variety. You can bring your own food or order on site.

I'm a wedding photographer and I love capturing weddings at Old House Vineyards! It's a beautiful venue and the island is so unique and perfect for weddings. I also love the love locks! What a great element to add to a ceremony. I can't wait to capture another wedding there!

I had not visited since 2019. During Easter weekend 2023, we decided to stop by here because I did have a good time back last time I was in the area. However, back then, there were very limited drinks, services, and walking areas.
This time around, it was not disappointing at all. This is a hidden gem, and one of my favorite places to visit now. Not only because of the quality of the beer, wine and spirits but also, because of the Picturesque scenery, multiple photo and video opportunities as well as multiple options of food and drinks. Certainly, a place you would like to spend the entire day at. It has multiple open areas, picnic tables, ample restaurant, and bar seating. Also, we learned that there was a distillery on site With very high-quality rum, vodka, gin, brandy, and my favorite, whiskey, and bourbon. The tasting of the latter was very cheap, and really good quality of spirits.
We also had a really good time in the Irish pub which is linked to the main restaurant. I think the Pub was our favorite. The food is just fantastic. We ordered the truffle fries and a very delicious pork sandwich. Our orders came out very fast. We then took a stroll through the grounds which were really fantastic and great to stretch out our legs after drinking a couple of delicious spirits. Certainly, we will be coming back with more friends, human and furry probably.

A stunning place for a Fall wedding! Two suggestions for the property for weddings: The Pavilion could definitely use more heaters-- It was bitterly cold and made it hard for older and younger guests to stay for the entire wedding. Additionally, while signs indicated that the house was off-limits to everyone except the wedding party, the rest of the property stays open and people visiting the winery and brewery were walking through the house and disregarding the signs knowingly, several of them while we were in there getting ready. This is concerning for several reasons, but most of all because the wedding parties are supposed to be able to leave their personal items upstairs during the wedding and there's not actually any protection against other visitors coming in and helping themselves.

Wedding parties, please be aware that if you're getting ready in the house, there's really only room for one side of the party at a time. If there is a side or two sides of your party getting hair and makeup done at the house on site, please, please give them enough time to do so as mirrors, outlets, and bathrooms are limited. There is only one bathroom upstairs where everyone is to get ready, so plan accordingly (there is a bathroom down the stairs, but that part of the house seemingly remains open to the public so you do have to contend with that). The bridal party was supposed to get ready in the smaller of the two rooms, but there simply isn't enough space for that, especially for parties of 7-10 or more (including Mother of the Bride and flower girl). As I wasn't the bride or groom for this wedding, I don't have information about what was communicated to them ahead of time about these spaces.

For our girls' afternoon out, we visited OH. It was such a lovely experience for us. We tried the wine and went to the distillery. The group had way too much fun, and our bartender at the distillery was so pleasant and chimed in with us, making the experience even better. Looking forward to going back next year so we can walk thru the Vinyard before they harvest.

Easily our favorite winery in NoVA. Granted, we're a bit biased since we got married here 10+ years ago. ;). Tons of alcohol selection, plenty of space (even when it's busy, it never feels crowded), and very flexible food options. Bring your own, buy their food, very chill. Family friendly. Most importantly, the wine is great!

This is a lovely place. It has a little something for everyone. The staff is friendly. You feel like you are at your friends home. The property is huge. They have a lake that has tables and seating for everyone. If you go on Monday they offer handmade pizza. It's delicious!!

Even with social distancing, they make you feel comfortable and relaxed.

amazing winery, brewery and distillery. today had the ipa, a sweet white that one of the amazing employees recommended and quite possibly the best gin ive tasted. venue is amazing. staff is amazing. beverages are top notch. i guess i need to figure out when this pizza oven is firing. oh, and if your very lucky, you might run across 'the grandmas', absolutely delightful spending the afternoon with them!

Great winery! Beautiful property and very friendly staff. I came here with my son everyone was very warm and inviting. They let us roam around the property so he can look at all the artifacts. We had a really great time. I got a bottle of wine to take home which was amazing. I will be back!

We came here as a last minute suggestion and it was AMAZING! You have a distillery, winery and brewery to try, which is way more options that what we could try in one day. We ordered some food and enjoyed our wine flight at the lake they have, which was very nice. Definitely recommend!

Put this Hidden gem on your list to visit. Amazing Beer, Wine and the staff are so welcoming. This Winery, Brewery and Distillery is at the top of our list. Every single beer was tasty and all of the wine was amazing!!! We will be back.

If I could give more than 5 stars for this place I would...my friends and I love to go to wineries and this is one of the top ones I’ve ever been too. It’s such a neat place and history to it-you literally feel like part of the family the moment you walk through the doors. Chris our server was absolutely amazing and made us want to come back even more than we already did! We got to meet Rhya (I think I’m spelling that right) who is one the grandmothers of the owners...she was so great! The atmosphere is nothing but amazing. Located in the country with lots of beauty to surround yourself with. The staff obviously are amazing (thanks Chris!) The wines are delicious and love the fact that they let you bring your own picnic! Definitely will be back and bringing more friends and family! (We went Valentines Day weekend and they had a DELICIOUS fondue option to buy!) $8 tasting and wines are decently priced considering we are so close to NOVA!
