I tried three of their different appetizers and they were great. Highly recommend the ahi tuna, the fried mushrooms, and the peel and eat shrimp. You pretty much seat yourself at this place. They have several outdoor seating areas and indoor seating areas. Some days they have karaoke and bands to entertain customers.

We had lunch here while we were enjoying a day boating on June Lake. We all loved the food and left stuffed. Would definitely come back

Rustic but not too much. Indoor or outdoor dining. Bar, dining room, screened in porch with ceiling fans lakeside. The chef's salad was big enough to serve 4 people. The ham and turkey were top quality and chunky. I confess the picture was taken after I had already dug into the salad, but I couldn't wait to try it because it looked so good. I went ahead and asked for a to-go box as soon as I saw how big this salad was. Plus they make their own potato chips for gosh-sakes! I'll have to go back and try their hookie melt designed by their own chef. The prices are fantastic!

We had a great time here. Came to listen to JJ McCoy and had dinner. Crab cakes were really good!

The food was delicious and plentiful. Our server Michelle was awesome. Her suggestions were on point.
We will definitely be back.

My husband and I took a ride out to Lake Placid for the day. I searched for someplace we can have lunch and I chose Jaxson's because of the good reviews. We were so happy we found this place. Very comfortable atmosphere, excellent food, an excellent service; Lubby,our server, was EXCELLENT! I had the build your own burger and my husband had the big fish sandwich. The chips that come on the side with the meals are not regular potato chips, they are homemade and are so good that I place an extra order to go.
Even though this restaurant is an hour and a half from where we live, I'm sure we will be back sometime in the near future.

Just had drinks! This is an amazing local hangout. Menu is great top to bottom. Go and enjoy your neighbors, reach out and meet your neighbors. The staff is worth the trip!!

We decided to drive on back roads across Florida from the FL west coast to go home to the SE coast instead of taking highways, so I searched for a restaurant on water on the way home. I discovered this wonderful restaurant/bar & we will definitely come back! Everything we ordered was scrumptious & unique, it seemed like each item was cooked especially for us. The homemade soups are devine. My prime rib was so delicious. My husband loved the grilled Mahi. Even the sides are fabulous, smashed potatoes & old-fashioned green beans like my Grandma cooked. Portions are huge. Our waitress, Libby, is a true treasure. She took perfect care of us, making us feel so welcome. I will drive hours out of my way to dine here again.

What an incredible atmosphere, food was fantastic and employees were rockstars. We had a group of 15 go in for lunch and our waitress was on top of everything. We definitely will be going back when in town.

Found this little hole in the wall bar and grill tucked in Lake Placid. I've heard about it before and decided to check it out today I had the gator bite wrap and we also had the blackened chicken sandwich with Swiss cheese and bacon. We sat out on the back patio which overlooked the lake .The breeze there was fantastic it wasn't hot at all.It took a little while for the food to come out but that was okay because we were enjoying the spectacular view and the awesome weather. It wasn't very crowded today but it is a Tuesday but I can see where they would have a nice crowd on the weekends they do have an outdoor stage for live music and outdoor seating in the front of the establishment. I did enjoy my lunch out on the back Lanai and will definitely recommend to friends and family and hopefully I can return someday real soon! I am new to the area so this is part of me discovering new little hidden gems in Highlands county and really liking what I am finding and being able to share my experiences are awesome!thank you so much for a nice lunch and a great afternoon Jaxson's lake placid!!

I had the catfish and it was absolutely delicious! Our server was wonderful, too. So glad my parents took me there for dinner.

A*M*A*Z*I*N*G... food fantastic I had the smokey mountain chicken and my daughter had the stack alfredo and my husband a wrap. We also shared the pulled pork nachos and cauliflower bites and finished the night with a fried cheesecake with strawberries and chocolate... service friendly and very helpful.... ambience (outside patio) Beautiful......my only complaint was the single ply bathroom tissue. No really this place was amazing such a great find for my birthday dinner

Excellent food and service. The crab cake sandwich is outstanding and enough for dinner as well as lunch.

Edit- 2/25/22. Despite being super busy and horribly understaffed, Kestyn was a rock star (my buddy John agrees) Really love this place. Co owner Bobbie is the bomb. Drinks are on point and the food is hot n tasty!

Food is always great...service is off the charts! Our last visit Madison was our server and she was very attentive and kind!

Great authentic American dining experience. Nice sheltered area in the back which looks onto the lake. Must visit if you're staying nearby!
