The Oyster Bar

We sat at the bar and Laura was the bartender she was fabulous! Making all the drinks taking orders and running out food she was doing it all! Sad to see they closed, but hopefully there will be a new location opening! We would definitely return, the food was delish as well as the drinks. Oysters are not really my thing 😆 they are my spouses favs. Oyster were happy hour 3-6 pm and definitely worth it! $1 oysters with that said these oysters were delish and the best I've had! As you can see I finished my plate.

I went here for dinner on a Saturday and was able to be sat outside right away. I started off with the Crispy Smoked Provolone as an appetizer. For the main meal, I ordered the Fish Tacos and Espresso Martini. All items were very delicious.

Joy was a great server and very informative. The oyster shooters were so good, and the regular shucked oysters were amazing! The shellfish pasta was delicious as well. I'm definitely coming back! Thanks for a great time!

Fun place to go in downtown St. Pete. Oysters from the east coast are prepared in different styles. Other great items like the smoked fish spread. Mimosa and Bloody Mary brunch specials on the weekends. Friendly service and open late.

My first time at the oyster bar was great! We had the oyster Rockefeller baked to perfection, the mussels that came with such a flavorful sauce with yummy tomatoes you can eat by itself. We also had a dozen of the east coast oysters I didn’t manage to snag a picture of that because I was so hungry lol but they were so fresh! The atmosphere is great, bathroom was clean and our server Mandi was the biggest sweetheart! She was working with what looked like cast got to admire her work ethic. All in all 10/10 will definitely be back for their lunch specials and awesome service!

Stopped in here because of a recommendation from a local, and WOW! I love fried oysters and these were without question the best I’ve ever had at a very competitive price. The menu offers quite a variety to suite any oyster fan. I sat at the bar and the bartender Brent was on point ..the perfect blend of personality, conversation, menu knowledge, wit and customer service. If you’re an oyster fan don’t miss this place.

This place is completely underrated! Every time I've eaten here the food was always fantastic! Friendly staff and fast service. Anyone rating this place under 5 stars clearly has no taste for quality food. I love seafood and so far in the downtown St. Pete area this is one of my favorite places hands down! I'm actually going there tonight! The lobster is always great and so are the scallops! Prices are very reasonable. I would even pay more! Definitely try this place if you're in the area.

We ate dinner here twice and the food was great. The service on Sunday was great but on Tuesday was a little slow, but like so many other places finding servers seems to be the issue. The mussels were fantastic as well as the broiled combo. The oysters were fresh and tasty.

The price of the specialty oysters is a little high but the steamed oysters were incredibly low at $1 an oyster. We first ordered specialty then moved to the steamed and were so surprised at how great they tasted that we wished we went with steamed all the way. The oysters were a decent size but more importantly had a fantastic flavor. The staff was very nice and the restaurant very clean. I will definitely go here again next time I am in town.

Visited on 4/2022 . The place to go to for bottomless mimosas and brunch !! Great prompt customer , yummy bites. Nice and cool inside sitting to enjoy a variety of mimosas that you can serve yourself ! and chat with friends, we did not feel rushed out . Great specials so make sure to check out what is going on before you visit

FRESH is all one can ask for when dining out !! I took 3 clients from Beijing as a one off visit . The oysters were simply delectable we ordered 4 dozen . The oysters were flown in & the ++ happy hour each oyster was a dollar . No inflationary prices at this eatery . We also ordered the Lobster bisque and spicy gulf shrimp . Managment was exceptional and so was our delightful waitress . This is a Diamond place to eat .

We were at another bar on Central Avenue talking about going to dinner at The Oyster Bar and a couple tried to talk us out of going! They said that it was "uppity" and "snobby." I talked my husband into going anyway, just for fun -- to see how bad it could be.

We walked in, sat at the bar - and had the best time! The bartender was friendly and fun. The food was fabulous and the other customers dining at the bar were friendly, too!

The fried oyster appetizer was delicious. The scallops were amazing and the shrimp and crawfish pasta was enough for dinner and lunch the following day. I was a little sad that the pasta was not served with bread, but the patron next to me said that the was not eating his bread -- so I got to enjoy bread anyway!

We will definitely be going back!

I am obsessed with oysters! Our go to place is definitely The oyster bar for the best and the freshest! Great central location and love the patio. Perfect people watching spot.

Our first visit to this place and it definitely won't be our last. We went on Wednesday and lucked out with $1 oyster night. Oysters were AMAZING. Some of the best I've had. The mussels were fantastic. Angie was our server and she was phenomenal! Ask for her by name! This is our new go to for date night. What a wonderful experience. Angie made it even better! Look forward to next time!

If you enjoy oysters you will love this place, though they have a full menu. The atmosphere is very cool and laid back with the rustic look. They shuck the oysters in front of you and have several types to choose from. Happy hour is from 3 to 7 and worth the trip. Highly recommended.

The oysters were wonderful! The two dollar shucker shooter is my favorite!! The Pesto Balsamic and Oysters Rockefeller were Excellent! The New England Clam Chowder is thick and filling and very seafood! The Shrimp and Lobster Bisque are outstanding. Have not been there in 4 to 5 years. Now I realize why I missed it!

We went for the $1 gulf oysters, which were fresh large tender and meaty with a mild taste. They were served with cocktail sauce, horseradish, and what tasted like viniagrette , and a basket of crackers. Drinks were good. Staff friendly, we enjoyed speaking to Chris who was knowledgeable about the different types of oysters. Casual decor.

2 of us eating over $100 oysters only, because they were good. It's oyster bar so it's a bit loud, but cool vibe. There was outside tables as well.

Oh My Gosh awesome food, great servers to much attention and extremely service the food gator bites good taste, grouper fish also is great and the pasta with shrimp and crabfish ufff you need come and taste it. 7/15/2022 and we still saying the same today angie was beyond she are wonderful server that be very nice to check on us every time we continue drove 1:45 hour to enjoy the best Oyster in Florida thanks. My spouse and I came here. I got a martini, glass of White wine, a dozen oysters, and the lobster bisque. The oysters were delicious, the wine was refreshing, and the bisque was the perfect blend of tomato, cream, and spices. And the lobster meat was delectable. Additionally, our server, Carrie, was incredibly kind. She also was very personable and kind. My spouse and I are using this trip as a belated 10 year anniversary celebration. And this restaurant was another amazing addition to our trip. Thank you, Oyster Bar, for the delicious food, refreshing drinks, warm atmosphere, and top notch service!
