JP Bomar in the Durham Hillandale Office has been a wonderful insurance agent to work with. He has handled my car, rental and life insurance needs with expert care. Being backed by a reputable agency was essential as well as finding the right agent. JP is thorough and thoughtful in the service he provides and I always feel taken care of working with him. I love the Durham NC office, Particularly Shelia Barbour. Sheilah has been working with me for years. Shelia helps me with my personal insurance, and all of my businesses insurance. She is wonderful and answers every question in layman’s terms for you, & also make sure that you are covered with a customized insurance just for you or your business. I highly recommend this office and ask for Shelia Barbour.

Mark and his team are absolutely great! I’ve used them for everything from renter’s to auto to home policies for 6 years and counting. They are very knowledgeable and responsive, day or night.

I've been using Farm Bureau for my insurance needs for several years now. Melissa and her team have been very helpful and would recommend their services!

My family and I are DC transplants and have worked so hard to integrate into our new community and NC Farm Bureau and particularly Mark Ham have made our transition so much easier. We bought a new home and had a horrible experience with one of these new techy lenders. Mark was so patient, helped us understand what was to be expected vs what was flat out strange. We've been here since last February and have Home/Auto/Life/Jewelry insurance with NCFB and honestly I'm not brand loyal. The thing is the service is great, the prices are too, and not for one second have I felt like anyone was selling me anything.

Quality and affordable rates for home, auto and life insurance (this is what my family currently uses). Available and knowledgeable for all situations for major and minor occurrences in our family’s lives.

Absolutely earned 5 stars. My agent Mark Ham is truly great. He has fielded all of my questions with patience and is always looking out to help me in whatever way he can. Extremely responsive and respectful.

As someone who does not know much about car insurance or property insurance he made obtaining both extremely easy and straight forward.

Example: I was attempting to get a bank loan for a car. I was unaware that the bank would not give me a loan until I had insurance on the vehicle I was attempting to purchase.(kind of backwards if you ask me, anyways)
On the shortest possible notice, Mark was able to spin up an insurance policy for me while I was sitting in the loan agents office, thus making obtaining car insurance the easiest part of the entire car buying experience.

This review does not give me a discount on insurance or anything of that nature, I'm truly just impressed with Mark's ability to make the process so seamless and easy.

Katie’s been the best insurance agent to work with! She’s always there to answer any questions I have or explain something that I’m confused about. If you’re looking to change insurance companies definitely call Katie she’ll help you with all your questions!

Our agent Rob will get you taken care of with all your insurance needs. We tried Allstate, State Farm, Nationwide, you name it and we tried it. We had only good experiences with NC Farm Bureau, whether it was assistance with business, auto, or home claims!
Don't pay attention to those 1-star reviews. They are probably reviewing the wrong company, State Farm, which is a completely different company.

I don't think I've ever had a "great" relationship with any insurance entity. I can say though, that all changed with FB. Not only do we have a genuine relationship with our agent, Mark Ham, but we truly believe and know that he cares about us and our family. Owning our own business, we are in the business of making relationships, not transactions. That's exactly how we feel with FB and Mr. Ham. We feel like people to him, not a transaction. Do whatever it takes to work with them!!
