Lazy fish

We were looking for a good sushi place and decided to check this one out! It’s a cute little place that you find down a small alley in downtown Frederick. You enter and walk upstairs to the second floor. It opens up to the very cute restaurant with a huge menu. We were greeted and sat immediately. The food came out fast and was fresh and delicious! I would recommend this place if you’re looking for some good, fresh sushi and a cute environment!

Cute place, yummy food. Lazy fish has a somewhat modern spin on some classic dishes and sushi rolls. We ordered the Rockfish ceviche, pork belly, Singapore noodle, Hello Yellow roll, and Shark Tank roll, and they were all very good.

We had a great experience at Lazy Fish! The service and food were both excellent. I had the chicken teriyaki and the flourless chocolate cake for dessert. I recommend the Orion Japanese Beer as well. The restaurant is well decorated and has a nice vibe for a date night or hanging out with friends. We'll definitely be back soon!

Such a great place to visit! Great fresh flavors in all of their dishes. I haven't had such a nice new experience eating sushi in some time. The place has a great atmosphere and looks out over the beautiful town of frederick. Planning to return asap!

Great experience tonight sitting at the sushi bar with the owner a great service from Intan. Happy hour Sauvignon blanc was good as well as crunchy shrimp and shark tank roll

The Tuna Poppers were excellent; flavorful, and slightly spicy. The Crab Rangoon was delicious, crispy outside and creamy on the inside.
The Honey Walnut Shrimp was out of this world! This was delicious! This is NOT the Honey Walnut Shrimp you might find at the food court in the mall!
We had two sushi rolls: The Lazy Shack (wonderful) and the other roll is not on the regular menu and I forgot the name. It had fried oysters inside the roll. Both were excellent (but the Lazy Shack was the better of the two).
The service was great, the food was great! I have nothing but praise for Lazy Fish.

Lazy Fish is such an amazing hidden gem paradoxically known by everyone in the Frederick area. The service is quick and nice. Our favorite menu items are The Shark, The Keys, and The Tuna Poppers. If you're dining in, the interior of the restaurant is such a chill and relaxed atmosphere. If you are ordering takeout, the food keeps really well for the commute back home. 10/10 every time we have been here.

Love this place! My first time here and everything was wonderful! All of the food was fresh and so delicious! The calamari is to die for! Service was wonderful! I will definitely be back when I’m in the area.

Lazy Fish is one of my favorite sushi restaurants. Every roll that I've had is fresh and delicious. The most recent visit, the service was excellent and the waiter made sure to recommend good rolls and check on us often even though it was a busy Friday night.

I would recommend calling ahead to get a table on a busy weekend, as every time I've come on a Friday or Saturday around dinner there is a wait for a table. The tables downstairs can get crowded with people quickly, and it makes it feel as if it's difficult to have a private space.

Located in the heart of downtown historic Frederick is one of the best sushi restaurants you can find, Lazy Fish. When you and your friends decide to eat at this establishment, you will definitely not be disappointed. You are always warmly greeted, usually also by the Owner, Master Chef Pong. The setting is chill and has 2 levels of seating. Now for the important part, the food.

You will not be alarmed at their prices. Lunch has a vast array of specials and specialties from the Chef. Dinner also has a happy hour that you can enjoy. The variety of cultural beverages is great to choose from as well.

Amazing food and warm service!
We came in around 6pm on their busy Saturday night without reservation and was seated quickly after only 20-30 minutes waiting. We got to seat at the bar upon our request since we would like a private seat with a view watching the chefs preparing rolls in front of us.
We ordered a TakoYaki that were incredibly delicious (definitely a must try if you're a salmon lover), a sweet and smooth Grilled Eel Avocado roll (especially if you're a huge fan of grill eel), and a Salmon Bentox Box (that came with a signature california roll, the teriyaki salmon which were so tender and delicious, miso soup were tasty, the vegetables tempura were so crunchy and savory). We also ordered BangKok Midnight and Blue Dragon for drinks and they were both aesthetic and smooth!
We had such a perfect dinner date there and would definitely come back for more rolls and desserts next time!

A special note to the manager/owner that night who was taking care of us and so considerate when he brought out an extra bowl of miso soup instead of 1 given in the bento box because there were 2 of us - A gesture I don't normally see in other western restaurants when there are a group at the table who ordered something to share. Such small but kind gesture goes such a long way and set such a nice example for other staff at the restaurant!

Excellent service and food. This place is worth the visit if you are in town. Parking on the street or at the nearby parking garage (very inexpensive parking). Food was amazingly good.

Best sushi I've had in Frederick. Really cool setting. Only complaint is the bathroom setup as there's almost always a line.

I had an outstanding experience at Lazy Fish! The service was impeccable, and the food was amazing. The lady who served us was exceptionally kind, enhancing our overall enjoyment. I wholeheartedly give Lazy Fish a 5-star rating and highly recommend it for its excellent service and delicious food.

One of my favorite sushi places. Delicious 🤤! Only one downside it’s upstairs and the bathroom is shared with the Thai restaurant downstairs.

The food is amazing. I've been to Lazy Fish at least 6 times and the food is consistently top notch.

My husband and I love eating at Lazy Fish. It is the best sushi in Frederick! Everything is always fresh and you cannot go wrong with anything you order. They do get very busy most nights so it always helps to make a reservation.

You will enjoy this restaurant….The menu is wide…. The seating is comfortable…. Downtown Frederick restaurants are close… The ambiance is romantic…The cost is wide… Easy to find low to medium prices… Oh yeah the food is GREAT!

Loved this restaurant so much. The staff is courteous and attentive. The food was so good. I am vegan and ordered vegetable spring roll, sweet potatoe tempura roll, drunken spaghetti with tofu.

Loved the spring rolls and roll. Noodles were good too and had veggies mixed in.. Didn't care for tofu too much.

Don't hesitate to visit. I will be back.
