Nak Won Rice Cake(낙원떡집 둘루스)

I love dduk shops. Especially when they provide a whole bunch of different variety. Even in Ktown LA, you don’t see all the dduk jibs offering that many different types of dduk. I feel like there’s a lot of potential here to build out their “cafe” side a bit more. Change the deco and colors to make it feel warmer and more inviting.

This is hands down the best (in terms of quality, variety, and “authenticity”) tteok (Korean rice cake) shop that I’ve seen outside Korea…folks in the atlanta area are lucky! They make the rice cakes fresh every morning and you have to eat them the same day. Totally worth the price!

The BEST rice cake spot in all of Atlanta! Trust me, I have sampled many a rice cake pack from pretty much all the Korean supermarkets in the area (Mega Mart, H-Mart, Assi, you name it), and Sweet Rice is the best, hands down. They regularly sell out if you come too late on the afternoon and all the Korean aunties and uncles have beat you to the best ones, so be sure to come early in the morning for the best selection. The mugwort tastes very fresh in the green rice cakes; sometimes I feel like other rice cake providers are just relying mainly on food coloring rather than fresh mugwort itself. The honey rice cakes (small round ones) are to die for! Although just the plain selection is already VERY good. Yum.

I also really enjoy the beverages here. They have a wide selection of teas. This is one of my favorite spots to work from in Duluth. Many other cafes are too hip and crowded; this spot is quiet and the workers leave you to do your own thing, which I really appreciate. Not to mention the place is very spacious for you to spread out and take a call if you need it. Good wi-fi. Whenever I have a craving for rice cakes and friendly, speedy service, I come here!

Nice cafe, decent coffee, the whole cafe was clean and spacious, bathroom was clean, and staff was friendly. Parking lot seems spacious as well. The rice cakes were very fresh and there were a lot of variety, which is awesome
, especially for people who are curious about traditional Korean rice cakes! The rice cakes were all freshly made in the morning and there were clock signs to indicate when the goodies were made! Afterward I also got some more to bring home to sample but unfortunately some of them went bad the next day cuz I didn't put them in the refrigerator overnight (refrigeration often time alters the texture of rice cakes), so be careful not to get too many!

The Korean traditional (pumpkin) birthday cake far exceeded my expectations! It was absolutely beautiful and tasty! The rice cake was freshly made, vibrant in color and as you can see, beautifully decorated!!!

This will be our go to place for traditional Korean rice cakes.

I stopped in to get a coffee and a quick snack, first time visiting here I was surprised to find them hosting a local photographer who was selling pictures to support chairty, way to support the community. I will be back.

This place seriously has a percentage of my school loans because this is the best place to study! The best coffee in Duluth, delicious rice cake and cake, a quiet and relaxing atmosphere, reliable wifi, and reasonable prices. Definitely recommend!!

They have the best rice cake in Georgia! And the customer service on the phone or in person is impeccable! The only time I can go is usually after 4pm and they always sell out on my favorite rice cakes. That's how good they are!!!! Now I call ahead of time and ask to hold it for me :).

The rice cake they have taste great. I really like their assorted rice cake gift. They taste good, they are very colorful, and left over cakes can be stored for a long time in the freezer (defrost with microwave or leave in room temperature over night). Their desks are very spaced out so the cafe is a good place to talk with a friend and enjoy a sip of coffee during COVID. Their drinks are not the best but the rice cake and the spacing make up for it.

They have THE BEST 떡 (rice cake)!! Always fresh, perfect texture, and fabulous taste!! My family goes there every time we visit Duluth. They also have great coffee (cafe latte) and a variety of other drinks.

This place is great, especially when you are in the mood for many different types of rice cake. I love rice cake, but I am reluctant to get a whole pack from Hmart or other places because I cannot eat the whole pack that they sell. But, this place sells rice cake a piece by piece for about 30 cents to a dollar. So, you can eat all different sorts of rice cake as much as you want, without worrying about buying the whole pack :)

It's a choose-your-own rice cake cafe. Most items are around $0.75 or under, but bigger items like mochi buns are $1.50. Still a great deal. The atmosphere is really relaxing and cool and they have tons of tables around.

Fast wifi, great selection of Korean traditional rice cakes and drinks. I love their cafe latte. They know how to make coffee and I find their coffee better than other "coffee shops".

The rice cakes, coffee and drinks are always delicious and fresh! The atmosphere and staff are a plus making this cafe a great place to meet friends or family or even just to stop by for a quick drink and small bites

술떡(Rice-fermented alchohol cake) was the original and the best! Mochi was out of this world!!! The filling was so much that every bite was so yummy!!! This was truely the best mochi ever!!!

Great place. Too bad they have a smaller selection after COVID. If you want a lot, order in advance because they sell out of certain things pretty quick.
