I had the best mussels ever! They were seasoned just right and even after eating them I still wanted more lol. The water was good because you know sometimes the water is off or tastes like a little dirt is in it. My mojito was so good as well. It was very light and refreshing. The brownie with vanilla ice cream was dead on! Customer service and atmosphere were superb! I also would like to point that it is downtown so there is limited parking spaces. I’m going back the next time I’m in Frederick!

First time here. Husband & I got cream of crab soup, fried oyster basket and Hawaiian grilled shrimp tacos. All were sooooo good. Server Sammy was very attentive and sweet. We will definitely be back!

Local seafood restaurant at Frederick. The food was good. Tried jambalaya, a lot on top of the rice, shrimp, fish, the sauce tasty. Hubby ordered wicked pasta with shrimp, and it is good too.
Overall we are happy with our foods. You must try!

Great food, cocktails, and nice staff! We were sat almost immediately and our waiter was attentive (just the right amount).

Food ordered: oysters, chorizo mussels, crab no cake salad, and the crab no cake sandwich, and our friends got other dishes like scallops and the battered fish. Overall, everyone basically inhaled our dishes.

Drinks ordered: orange crushes and the bourbon berry smash. Solid, all I can say! They were tasty!

Would I come back if I'm in town again? Heck yes. Thanks y'all!

Everything was so fresh and delicious! Best muscles, which you just get extra bread for dipping in that awesome sauce! Lump crab cakes full of chunky crab, so good. Great fried fish and oysters as well. Bread pudding could have been more custardy in texture though. Definitely coming back next the I'm in the area.

I’m so glad my friend took me here because this place totally dispelled any apprehension I had about the crab cakes; I’ve had so many disappointing ones before this. They’re the real deal, no filler crab cakes. This is the new standard of crab cakes for me. The traffic from DC to Fredrick may have been god awful but it was so worth the drive.

Additionally, I had the seafood jambalaya (not the NOLA kind) and every spoonful is hearty, spicy, delicious morsel of seafood so it was perfect for me.

Definitely don’t skip on the key lime pie either!

Reservations highly recommended. We got lucky and managed to get a table despite the place being fully packed. We came for the crab 'no' cake and it didn't disappoint. They were priced reasonably at 42 for 2. We also enjoyed the stuffed shrimps, and beer battered cod. The seafood went well with the coleslaw. I look forward to visiting again in warmer weather and dining outdoors.

We beat the evening rush by a few minutes! We had hush puppies to share along with my Diet Pepsi and my wife’s rum punch. My wife had stuffed shrimp and I had Wicked Pasta. Excellent tasting and hot food. Highly recommend them.

Fantastic calamari appetizer I enjoyed as my meal. My companion said his no cake crab sandwich was excellent. The service is outstanding.

Raging Reef is a hidden gem in Frederick. This is one of my go to spots for crab cakes. My family is huge on seafood. The sides here are also great and the service is always amazing. Definitely try them out!

First time there today for brunch. They came highly recommended. I now see why. They did not disappoint. Generous portions. Bay Omelet and sides 😋 cooked perfectly. Friendly, and courteous staff. Will definitely be coming back! And their cinnamon chip pancakes...yum!👌

Everything we tried was excellent and I thought reasonably priced. I especially liked the crab cake entree and the hush puppies appetizer - both were great! There were so many things on the menu that looked good, I can't wait to go back and try more! I may get the Caesar dressing on the side of the salad I got next time, but just a small critique - it was still good. Service was great and the food came out quickly too.

Great food, service and atmosphere. We tried an array of options from the menu and there wasn’t one bad plate. It was all superior quality food, cooked excellently. The service was top notch. If you’re looking for a great restaurant and amazing food, head over to Ragin Reef!

The food is amazing. Overall would recommend. Definitely coming back soon.

Fish Tacos:
We got both fish tacos (Ragin' and Hawaiian) which are extremely worth it. There were three tacos but we both ate two before even remembering to take pictures. The fish in the tacos were tender, well seasoned, and ample. It wasn't just like tuna salad but chunks of fresh fish. The fries were pretty good too.

For my Hawaiian taco, the pineapple salsa was well balanced with other things. Also I was afraid the tiger sauce was going to be too sweet or too hot. However, the sauce was lightly sweet to compliment the pineapple sweet and had a little light kick. It was very good.

Oysters:
My oysters were from James River. They have a slight salty taste that I love from the east coast but are sweet and mild with rounded delicate flavors. It's a great choice overall for most. This was eaten too fast to get pictures of.

The experience:
Staff was attentive and positive; very good at describing menu items as well. The facilities were very clean. I loved the nautical decor.

This place is a solid 4.5. Wife and I ate here a fre caus ago. Ordered the shrimp and cod basket and the crab-no-cake salad. The shrimp were cooked to perfection. The cod was a little salty for my taste but was cooked well. Same with the fries. The coleslaw they served me is quite possibly the only coleslaw I have ever enjoyed. The crab-no-cake salad was delicious. The crab itself was great, the dressing they used on the salad was delicious, and the presentation was good. I'd definitely come back here if I were craving seafood.

We had an excellent meal. Had crab cakes and they were amazing with accommodating food allergies. One person has celiac and dairy allergy and staff was super about making adjustments.

Great seafood place in Frederick. Fish tacos were delightful and filled me up quickly. Crab cake and grill shrimp came out out and delicious. Cocktails were ok. It got very busy and nosey on a Friday night so not for an intimate date night.
