Latite Roofing and Sheet Metal, LLC

They are insulating the roof of a commercial building for KAST Construction in North Palm Beach. They have brought the capital equipment, materials, and trained labor and are operating on time.

In 20 years of being in the roofing industry, i have never seen things from another roofing company, that i have with this company. From the 2 hour lunch breaks, plus two additional 30 minute breaks, to the fork lift driver literally sitting in a chair and watching everyone else work. My mind is blown away.

I will say that the crew works hard when they are working, and they are polite. However they are seriously under staffed. Sending 6 guys to do the job of what a dozen guys should be doing. No wonder its taken them a month to prep a single roof for new tile. They have one driver on their jobs that is a work horse. Believe his name is Alex. The man is non stop cleaning and picking up everything. I was highly impressed with him and his work ethic. You can see he actually cares. Never have i seen him sit down. Even during lunch, he was up cleaning. He is bilingual and always very polite. However he will continue to go unappreciated by the company that should be utilizing someone like that. Someone will see his worth and make him an offer elsewhere. But the forklift driver sitting in a chair, in the shade, as everyone else sweats it out is appalling. He literally pulled out a chair to sit under a car port. Shame on this company for allowing that behavior and rewarding it with a paycheck.

I can't say if i would or would not recommend this compan . They definitely have potential. If they would clean up their on site presence, they could be a great company. But not with how they currently carry themselves. That behavior would not be tolerated in any other business, let alone another roofing company.
